Description
図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る立体表示装置の平面図である。図2は、図1に示す立体表示装置のII−II線断面図である。
Nematic)型、STN(Super Twisted Nematic)型、VA(Vertical Alignment)方式、IPS(In-Plane Switching)方式など、構造や方式に限定されない。視差形成用パネル32は、図示しない液晶を挟むための第2上基板34及び第2下基板36を有する。第2上基板34及び第2下基板36は重ねられている。第2上基板34及び第2下基板36は、それぞれ、ガラスなどからなる透明の基板である。第2下基板36は、回路が形成された回路基板であり、TFT(Thin Film Transistor)基板であってもよい。
図5は、本発明の第2の実施形態に係る立体表示装置の断面図である。この例では、画像表示用パネル210の第1下基板214の第1突出部220の突出幅が狭くなっており、第1フレキシブル配線基板228は取り付けられているが、半導体チップは搭載されていない。
Claims (4)
- 画像表示用パネルと、
前記画像表示用パネルに重ねられて、前記画像表示用パネルに表示された左眼画像と右眼画像を分離して裸眼立体視を可能にするための視差形成用パネルと、
を有し、
前記画像表示用パネル及び前記視差形成用パネルの一方である第1パネルは、重ねられた一対の基板を有し、第1アライメントマークが前記一対の基板の間に形成され、
前記画像表示用パネル及び前記視差形成用パネルの他方である第2パネルは、重ねられた上基板及び下基板を有し、
前記下基板は、前記第1パネルの側に配置されて、前記上基板から突出する突出部を有し、
第2アライメントマークが、前記突出部の、前記第1パネルとは反対側を向く面に、前記第1アライメントマークと重なるように形成され、
前記一対の基板の少なくとも一方の外表面に、前記外表面の端部を避けて偏光板が貼り付けられ、
前記第1アライメントマーク及び前記第2アライメントマークは、前記偏光板と重ならないように、前記外表面の前記端部に対向して配置されていることを特徴とする立体表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載された立体表示装置において、
前記画像表示用パネルは、液晶表示パネルであり、前記一対の基板と、一方の前記基板に形成されたブラックマトリクス層と、を有し、
前記ブラックマトリクス層の一部に、前記第1アライメントマークとしての切り欠きが形成されていることを特徴とする立体表示装置。 - 請求項2に記載された立体表示装置において、
前記画像表示用パネルの前記一対の基板の間の空間を封止するシール材をさらに有し、
前記画像表示用パネルの前記シール材は、前記ブラックマトリクス層に形成された前記切り欠きと重なることを特徴とする立体表示装置。 - 請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載された立体表示装置において、
前記画像表示用パネル及び前記視差形成用パネルの一方に、遮光性両面テープによって貼り付けられるフレームをさらに有し、
前記第1アライメントマーク及び前記第2アライメントマークは、前記遮光性両面テープと重なる位置に配置されていることを特徴とする立体表示装置。
