Description
図1は、本発明の実施形態に係るセラミック複合材料の製造方法を説明するための図であり、(a)は、焼成前のセラミック複合材料の状態を説明するための図であり、(b)は、焼成後のセラミック複合材料の状態を説明するための図である。
〔実施例〕
セラミック前駆体として、コロイダルシリカ(オーディック(株)製セラコート)50g中に、直径3mmのスチレンアクリル製の中空ポリマー粒子(JSR(株)製)1gを混合し、中空ポリマー粒子をセラミック前駆体に分散させた分散材を作製する。なお、中空ポリマー粒子を構成するスチレンアクリルの炭化温度は、330℃であり、コロイダルシリカが、シリカマトリクスとなる温度は、250℃である。
実施例と同じようにセラミック複合材料からなる皮膜が形成されたアルミニウム材試料を作成した。実施例1と相違する点は、分散材が塗布したアルミニウム材試料を100℃、200℃、300℃で3時間焼成した点である。
実施例および比較例のアルミニウム材試料に形成された被膜に対して、以下の式を用いて、熱伝導率λを算出した。なお、熱伝導率λを算出するにあたっては、以下に示すように、密度ρ、熱拡散率α、比熱容量Cpを測定した。
λ=Cp・ρ・α(λ:熱伝導率、Cp:比熱容量、ρ:密度、α:熱拡散率)
実施例および比較例の皮膜を形成したアルミニウム材試料の重量および体積を測定し、これらの測定値から、皮膜形成前のアルミニウム材試料の重量および体積を差し引いて、皮膜の密度を算出した。
実施例および比較例のアルミニウム材試料を直径10mm、厚さ2mmの測定用試料に切り出して、レーザーフラッシュ法(NETZSCH製LFA457)により、各実施例および各比較例の皮膜の熱拡散率αを測定した。測定温度は、300K(27℃)である。
実施例および比較例のアルミニウム材試料を塩酸で溶解しセラミック複合材料からなる皮膜のみを抽出し、DSC法(NETZSCH製DSC404)により、各実施例および各比較例の皮膜の比熱容量Cpを測定した。測定温度は、300K(27℃)である。
図2に示すように、実施例に係る皮膜は、比較例のものに比べて熱伝導率が低くなった。これは、中空ポリマー粒子が焼成温度400℃以上で中空炭素粒子に変化し、中空炭素粒子の黒体放射により皮膜が断熱性を有し、実施例に係る皮膜の熱伝導率が比較例のものに比べて低下したと考えられる。この結果から、実施例に係る皮膜は、断熱膜として有効であることがわかる。なお、実施例の場合には、中空炭素粒子のバインダーとしてセラミックマトリクスが作用していることも確認できた。
Claims (2)
- ポリマー粒子をセラミック前駆体に分散させた分散材を、前記ポリマー粒子の炭化温度以上で焼成することにより、
前記分散材に分散したポリマー粒子を、炭素粒子に変化させるとともに、
前記セラミック前駆体を、該炭素粒子が分散されたセラミックマトリクスに変化させるセラミック複合材料の製造方法であって、
前記ポリマー粒子に中空ポリマー粒子を用い、前記分散材の焼成時に、前記中空ポリマー粒子を中空炭素粒子に変化させ、
前記中空炭素粒子の平均粒径が0.1〜100μmとなり、前記セラミック複合材料に対して前記炭素粒子が5〜40体積%含有するように、前記中空ポリマー粒子を前記セラミック前駆体に分散させることを特徴とするセラミック複合材料の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載のセラミック複合材料の製造方法を含む断熱部材の製造方法であって、前記分散材を金属基材の表面に塗布し、塗布した後の前記分散材を前記ポリマー粒子の炭化温度以上で焼成することにより、前記金属基材の表面に前記セラミック複合材料からなる断熱膜を成膜することを特徴とする断熱部材の製造方法。
