Claims (10)
- 超音波探触子を製造する方法であって、
前記超音波探触子が、
外面及び内面を有し、遠位端を画成する探触子ハウジングであって、該探触子ハウジングの自由体積内部に音響結合用流体が満たされる、前記探触子ハウジングと、
前記探触子ハウジング内部に配置されると共に該探触子ハウジング内部で回転可能な超音波トランスデューサーアレイと、
前記超音波トランスデューサーアレイの表面に接着剤で結合した、前記音響結合用流体に対して音響的にニュートラルな構造と、
前記超音波トランスデューサーアレイと連結したモーターであって、3次元ボリュームの撮像のために該超音波トランスデューサーアレイを回転させるように構成されたモーターと、
を備え、
前記音響的にニュートラルな構造が前記探触子ハウジングの内面に沿った円筒状の外面を有しており、前記探触子ハウジングと前記超音波トランスデューサーアレイの間の前記音響結合用流体の量を減少させるように、前記円筒状の外面は前記探触子ハウジングの前記内面から3ミル(0.0762mm)未満の距離に位置づけられ、
前記音響的にニュートラルな構造が2層式構造を含み、
前記2層式構造がポリマーフィルムベースに結合したポリマーキャップを含み、
前記方法が、融点を超えるポリマーキャップの材料を射出する射出成形を用いてポリマーフィルムベースに対してポリマーキャップを成形する工程と、
前記音響的にニュートラルな構造を前記超音波トランスデューサーアレイの表面に結合する工程と、
を含む、
製造方法。 - 前記超音波探触子が、超音波カテーテル、内視鏡、術中超音波探触子、腔内超音波探触子、超音波撮像探触子又は超音波治療デバイスである、請求項1記載の製造方法。
- 前記超音波探触子が、超音波カテーテルであり、
前記超音波カテーテルが、経食道カテーテル、心腔内心エコーカテーテル、経鼻カテーテル、経胸郭カテーテル、脈管内カテーテル、腔内カテーテル又は術中カテーテルである、請求項2記載の製造方法。 - 前記音響結合用流体が、水、プロピレングリコール、塩水、鉱油、エチレングリコール、ヒマシ油又はこれらの組合せを含む、請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 前記音響的にニュートラルな構造が、1マイクロ秒当たり1.0〜3.0mmの範囲の音速と1.0〜3.0メガレイリーの範囲の音響インピーダンスとを有する、請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 前記音響的にニュートラルな構造を接着剤を用いて前記超音波トランスデューサーアレイに結合する工程を含み、
前記ポリマーキャップがポリエーテル−ポリアミドブロックコポリマーを含み、前記ポリマーフィルムベースがポリイミドを含む、請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の製造方法。 - 前記ポリマーキャップを成形する工程は、射出/圧縮成形金型を用いる工程を含み、
前記射出/圧縮成形金型は、
円筒状の溝を有する底部プレートと、
中央孔を有する上部プレートと、
上部プレート内の中央孔に取り付けられ、該中央孔を通過してフィードされる射出柱と、
前記射出柱のボア内を摺動する射出ラムと、
前記射出ラムの上部に取り付けられた圧力プレートと、
を備え、
前記底部及び上部プレートは、ビスによって互いに対して確保され、
プログラム可能な圧縮成形プレス機のプラテン間に配置される、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の製造方法。 - 前記ポリマーキャップを成形する工程は、
前記ポリマーキャップを形成するコポリマー及び、前記ポリマーフィルムベースを形成するポリイミドフィルムを前記コポリマーの融点を超える温度に加熱する工程と、
前記コポリマーと前記ポリイミドフィルムを金型内で接触せしめる工程と、
前記コポリマーと前記ポリイミドフィルムを圧力下で接触状態に保持し、冷却後に前記金型から外す工程と、
を含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の製造方法。 - 前記モーターの回転運動を制御するモーター制御器と、
前記トランスデューサーアレイに結合された相互接続と、
を備える、請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の製造方法。 - 前記モータが前記探触子ハウジング内に配置される、請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
