Claims (10)
- 互いに対向する第1基板及び第2基板、
前記第1基板の上に位置するスイッチング素子、
前記スイッチング素子に連結されており、データ電圧の印加を受ける画素電極、
前記第2基板の上に形成されている対向電極、そして
前記第1基板及び前記第2基板の間に位置し、液晶分子を含む液晶層
を含み、
前記画素電極は複数の微細枝部を含み、
前記画素電極は、前記微細枝部の長さ方向が互いに異なる複数の副領域を含み、
前記微細枝部は、前記第1基板面に対して下の方向に凹む凹部分または上の方向に膨らむ凸部分で形成されており、前記第1基板の断面上の第1凹部分に隣接して第1凸部分が位置し、前記第1凸部分に隣接して第2凹部分が位置し、前記第2凹部分に隣接して前記画素電極が形成されていないスリット部分が位置し、前記第1凹部分、前記第1凸部分、前記第2凹部分及び前記スリット部分が順に配置されている液晶表示装置。 - 前記微細枝部の前記微細枝部の間の領域との段差は0.1μm以上0.6μm以下である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記微細枝部の断面構造における側面が前記第1基板の面に対して成す角は10度以上100度以下である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記画素電極上に位置する平坦化絶縁膜をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 隣接する微細枝部の間の領域は前記微細枝部の凹凸形状と反対の形状に形成されている、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記対向電極は前記第2基板の全面に形成されており、一定の電圧の印加を受ける、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記対向電極の表面は平坦に形成されている、請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶層は前記第1基板及び前記第2基板面に対して垂直配向されている、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶分子は前記微細枝部の長さ方向にプリチルト角を成して配向されている、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記微細枝部の幅及び前記微細枝部の間の領域の幅のうちの少なくとも一つは2μm以上6μm以下であり、
