Description
このHCCI燃焼モードは、点火プラグによる火花点火により混合気に着火して火炎伝播燃焼させる燃焼方法(以下、SI燃焼モード)に比べ、高圧縮比による熱効率の向上、急速燃焼による冷却損失の低減、ポンプ損失の低減等により燃料消費量を低減することができ、また、空燃比が大きいまたはEGR(排気再循環)率の高い均質混合気の低温燃焼により窒素酸化物(以下、NOx)の発生を抑制することができる。
図2はこの発明の一実施の形態による内燃機関の制御装置を備えたSI燃焼モードとHCCI燃焼モードを切換え可能なエンジンシステムの全体構成図である。図2において、エンジン100における気筒1の燃焼室2には、吸気バルブ3と排気バルブ4とピストン5、更に、燃焼室2内を臨むようにして、点火プラグ6とインジェクタ7とが備えられている。
また上述のスロットルバルブの開度制御、点火時期、燃料噴射量等の制御、及び以下に説明する動作についてもECU10の制御により行われる。

Claims (4)
- 所定の間隔の制御サイクルで制御を行い、燃焼サイクルを制御すると共に、燃焼室に形成された混合気を火花点火により燃焼させる火花点火燃焼モードと、前記混合気を圧縮着火により燃焼させる圧縮着火燃焼モードと、を切換え可能な内燃機関の制御装置であって、
前記混合気に火花点火する時期を制御する点火時期制御部と、
前記燃焼室に供給する燃料噴射量を制御する燃料噴射量制御部と、
前記燃焼室に燃焼により生じた既燃ガスの一部を内部EGRとして残留させる内部EGR制御部と、
前記燃焼モードの切換えを行う燃焼モード切換え制御部と、
を備え、
前記燃焼モード切換え制御部が、燃焼が変動していることを検出する燃焼変動判定部を含み、
前記火花点火燃焼モードから圧縮着火燃焼モードへ切換える際に、それぞれ前回燃焼サイクルに対して、
前記内部EGRの内部EGR量を増加させるとともに、
前記燃焼変動判定部により燃焼変動値が所定値以下と判定された場合に、前記点火時期を早期化させ、
前記燃焼変動判定部により燃焼変動値が所定値より大きくなった場合に、前記混合気の形成に用いられる内部EGRに含まれる酸素濃度が高くなるように前記燃料噴射量を減量させ、さらに前記点火時期を遅延化させる、
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記燃焼変動判定部は、エンジントルクおよび前記点火時期に従った燃焼位置の燃焼サイクル間の変動率の少なくとも1つを燃焼変動値として算出し、前記燃焼変動値が所定値よりも大きくなった場合に燃焼変動が生じたと判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記燃焼モード切換え制御部が、燃焼温度を検出する燃焼温度検出部を含み、
それぞれ前回燃焼サイクルに対して、
前記燃焼温度が所定値よりも低くなった場合に、前記混合気の形成に用いられる内部EGRに含まれる酸素濃度が高くなるように前記燃料噴射量を減量させ、さらに前記点火時期を遅延化させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 所定の間隔の制御サイクルで制御を行い、燃焼サイクルを制御すると共に、燃焼室に形成された混合気を火花点火により燃焼させる火花点火燃焼モードと、前記混合気を圧縮着火により燃焼させる圧縮着火燃焼モードと、を切換え可能な内燃機関の制御において、前記火花点火燃焼モードから圧縮着火燃焼モードへ切換える際に、
前記燃焼室に燃焼により生じた既燃ガスの一部を内部EGRとして残留させる内部EGR制御において、それぞれ前回燃焼サイクルに対して、前記内部EGRの内部EGR量を増加させるとともに、
燃焼変動値が所定値以下と判定された場合に、前記点火時期を早期化させ、
前記燃焼変動値が所定値より大きくなった場合に、前記混合気の形成に用いられる内部EGRに含まれる酸素濃度が高くなるように前記燃料噴射量を減量させ、さらに前記点火時期を遅延化させる、
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の制御方法。
