また、並列で断接手段が締結された状態での一方向動力伝達手段の偏心を取得することができる。
図1に示す車両3は、内燃機関4と電動機5とが直列に接続された駆動装置6(以下、前輪駆動装置と呼ぶ。)を車両前部に有するハイブリッド車両であり、この前輪駆動装置6の動力がトランスミッション7を介して前輪Wfに伝達される一方で、この前輪駆動装置6と別に車両後部に設けられた駆動装置1(以下、後輪駆動装置と呼ぶ。)の動力が後輪Wr(RWr、LWr)に伝達されるようになっている。前輪駆動装置6の電動機5と後輪Wr側の後輪駆動装置1の第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bとは、バッテリ9に接続され、バッテリ9からの電力供給と、バッテリ9へのエネルギー回生が可能となっている。符号8は、車両全体の各種制御をするための制御装置である。
先ず、一方向クラッチ50自体の特性を説明するため油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bが設けられていない場合を想定する。この場合、一方向クラッチ50は、アウターレース52とインナーレース51との相対回転移動に伴ってスプラグ53の傾斜角度が変化することで一方向クラッチ50の係合状態が変化し、それに応じて一方向クラッチ50のトルク伝達容量が変化する。
次に、ブレーキ強制解放制御を含めた油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bのブレーキ解放制御について図14を参照しながら説明する。なお、以下の例では、偏心取得方法として、計数手段による弱締結時限界伝達トルクT1以上のトルク発生回数のカウント数を用いる場合を例に説明する。
制御装置8から油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bの強制解放指令が出力された際に、車両3がFWD走行している場合、即ち、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bが順方向の左右和トルクを発生していない場合、前輪駆動装置6で前輪Wfを駆動しており、油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bは動力伝達に寄与していないため、短時間の解放であれば随時許容されるので、即時に油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを解放する。このとき、通常のブレーキ解放制御と同様に、油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを解放することで、インナーレース51とアウターレース52とは自動調芯され、一方向クラッチ50の偏心が解消される。
制御装置8から油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bの強制解放指令が出力された際に、車両3がRWD又はAWD走行している場合、即ち、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bが順方向の左右和トルクを発生している場合、油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bの解放を、順方向の左右和トルクが略零となるまで待機し、後述する所定のタイミング(A)又は(B)で油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを解放する。第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bが順方向の左右和トルクを発生させている間、即ち、リングギヤ24A、24Bに逆方向の左右和トルクが加わっている間に油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを解放しても一方向クラッチ50は係合したままの状態を維持し、一方向クラッチ50の偏心は解消しないので、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bの順方向の左右和トルクがゼロ近傍になるまで待機することで不要な油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bの解放を抑制できる。
FWD走行となるまで待機して油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを強制解放する場合、即ち、FWD走行時のブレーキ強制解放制御については、上記(<ブレーキ強制解放制御 FWD走行時>)と同様であり、ここでは説明を省略する。
後輪駆動装置1が回生駆動指令を受けると通常、即時に油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを締結状態に制御するとともに第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bを回生駆動状態に制御するところ、制御装置8から油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bの強制解放指令が出力されている場合には、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bの回生駆動前に油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bの解放を割り込ませ、さらに第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bを逆力行駆動して逆方向の左右和トルクが発生するように、即ち、リングギヤ24A、24Bに順方向の左右和トルクが加わるように制御する。このとき、油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bの解放により、通常のブレーキ解放制御と同様に、一方向クラッチ50の偏心が解消されるが、通常のブレーキ解放制御では、リングギヤ24A、24Bに加わる順方向の左右和トルクは、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bの停止に伴う損失による逆方向の左右和トルクに伴って発生する左右和トルクであるのに対し、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bを逆力行駆動する場合、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bの逆力行駆動による逆方向の左右和トルクに伴う左右和トルクであるため、インナーレース51が初期位置に戻るのが早くなる。
なお、FWD走行となるまで待機して油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを強制解放する場合にも、第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bを逆力行駆動してもよい。
例えば、リングギヤ24A、24Bにそれぞれ油圧ブレーキ60A、60Bを設ける必要はなく、連結されたリングギヤ24A、24Bに少なくとも1つの油圧ブレーキ等の断接手段と1つの一方向クラッチ等の一方向動力伝達手段が設けられていればよい。
また、断接手段として油圧ブレーキを例示したが、これに限らず機械式、電磁式等を任意に選択できる。
また、サンギヤ21A、21Bに第1及び第2電動機2A、2Bを接続し、リングギヤ同士を互いに連結したが、これに限らずサンギヤ同士を互いに連結し、リングギヤに第1及び第2電動機を接続してもよい。
また、断接手段と一方向動力伝達手段は、3要素を有する差動装置の一要素に配置される場合に限らず、回転体と回転体との単純な動力伝達部に配置されるものであってもよい。
また、駆動源は2つある必要はなく、1つの駆動源により被駆動部を駆動する機構でもよい。
また、前輪駆動装置は、内燃機関を用いずに電動機を唯一の駆動源とするものでもよい。
また、駆動源として、電動機の代わりに、内燃機関等他の駆動力発生装置を用いてもよい。
また、本発明の駆動装置は、車両に限らず他の輸送機関、例えば船舶や航空機でもよい。

前記駆動源と前記被駆動部との動力伝達経路上に設けられ、駆動源側の一方向の回転動力が被駆動部側に入力されるときに係合状態となるとともに、駆動源側の他方向の回転動力が被駆動部側に入力されるときに非係合状態となり、被駆動部側の一方向の回転動力が駆動源側に入力されるときに非係合状態となるとともに、被駆動部側の他方向の回転動力が駆動源側に入力されるときに係合状態となる一方向動力伝達手段と、
前記動力伝達経路上に前記一方向動力伝達手段と並列に設けられ、解放又は締結することにより前記動力伝達経路を遮断状態又は接続状態にする断接手段と、
前記断接手段の解放と締結を制御する断接手段制御装置と、を備える輸送機関の駆動装置であって、
前記断接手段が締結されて駆動源側と被駆動部側とが接続状態のときに前記駆動源が所定以上の大きさの前記一方向の回転動力を発生したことを取得し、発生回数を記憶する計数手段をさらに備え、
前記断接手段制御装置は、前記計数手段が記憶する前記発生回数に基づいて、前記断接手段を制御することを特徴とする輸送機関の駆動装置。 - 前記断接手段制御装置は、前記計数手段が記憶する前記発生回数が所定以上のときに、前記断接手段を解放することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。
- 前記所定以上の大きさを、前記断接手段の回転動力伝達容量に基づいて定めることを特徴とする請求項11又は12に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。
- 前記断接手段制御装置は、前記発生回数が所定以上のときに、前記駆動源が前記一方向の回転動力を発生している場合、前記断接手段の解放を、前記一方向の回転動力が略零となるまで待機することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。
- 前記断接手段制御装置は、前記発生回数が所定以上のときに、前記駆動源が前記一方向の回転動力を発生している場合、前記断接手段を、前記駆動源への指令が前記他方向の回転動力の発生指示に切り替わるまで締結を維持し、前記駆動源が前記一方向の回転動力の発生を終え、かつ前記他方向の回転動力の発生を開始する前に解放することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。
- 前記輸送機関は車両であり、
前記被駆動部は前記車両の車輪であり、
前記車両は、前記車輪の回転を制動する制動手段を備え、
前記他方向の回転動力の発生を開始する前に前記断接手段を解放するときに、前記駆動
源からの前記他方向の回転動力の発生開始の遅れを補うように、前記制動手段から、前記他方向の回転動力を補う制動力を発生させることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。 - 前記輸送機関は車両であり、
前記被駆動部は前記車両の車輪のうち、前輪及び後輪の一方である第1駆動輪であり、
前記車両は、前記前輪及び後輪の他方である第2駆動輪を駆動する他の駆動源を備え、
前記断接手段制御装置は、前記発生回数が所定以上のときに、前記他の駆動源が前記一方向の回転動力を発生している場合、前記断接手段を解放することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。 - 前記駆動装置は、前記駆動源の発生する回転動力を制御する駆動源制御装置を備え、
前記駆動源制御装置は、前記断接手段制御装置が前記断接手段を解放するときに、前記駆動源から前記他方向の回転動力が発生するよう制御することを特徴とする請求項12〜17のいずれか1項に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。 - 前記一方向動力伝達手段の係合子は、前記駆動源の前記一方向の回転動力の増加に伴って、傾斜角が増加するよう介装され、
前記駆動源制御装置は、前記駆動源が発生する前記一方向の最大発生回転動力に基づいて求めた前記係合子の最大傾斜角に基づいて、前記他方向の回転動力の発生量を決定することを特徴とする請求項18に記載の輸送機関の駆動装置。
