Description
本発明はさらに、こうして得られた成形品に関するものである。
(i)少なくとも一種の可塑剤を含む着色された組成物A(任意成分として一種または複数の改質剤、例えば着色顔料、装飾用フレークまたはPVC型熱可塑性樹脂をさらに含むことができる)を金型表面上に塗布し、
(ii)PVCのような熱可塑性樹脂から成る組成物Bを塗布し、
(iii)金型を加熱する。
(1)5〜20%、好ましくは10〜15%の、粒径が0.1〜10μmの少なくとも一種の熱可塑性樹脂、
(2)1〜20%、好ましくは5〜15%の少なくとも一種の改質剤、
(3)5〜20%、好ましくは10〜15%の少なくとも一種の可塑剤、
(4)45〜75%、好ましくは50〜70%の少なくとも一種の有機溶剤。
上記組成物はブルックフィールド(登録商標)型の粘度計を用いて測定した20℃での粘度が好ましくは5〜40mPa.s、さらに好ましくは10〜25mPa.sである。
顔料は有機または無機の顔料が使用できる。例としては、被覆したまたは被覆していない金属酸化物、例えばチタン(非晶質またはルチル型および/またはアナターゼ型結晶性)、鉄、亜鉛、ジルコニウムまたはセリウムの酸化物およびこれらの混合物が挙げられる。
(i)上記定義の組成物(A)の層を金型上に形成(deposition)し、
(ii)金型を組成物(A)のゲル化点まで加熱し、
(iii)(ii)で得られた部分的にまたは完全に被覆された金型上に、熱可塑性樹脂または熱可塑性樹脂混合物を含む組成物(B)の層を形成(deposition)し、
(iv)金型を組成物Bのゲル化点まで加熱する。
ゲル化温度で(III)段階および(IV)段階を一回以上再度行うことができ、また、金型を例えば室温で水中に浸漬して冷却することで熱可塑性樹脂が完全にゲル化するのを待つことができる。
本発明は以下の実施例からより良く理解できよう。
白色印刷用配合物
本発明組成物(白色インク)を、インクの配合、調製分野の当業者に公知の方法で[表1]に示す各種成分を混合して調製した。
初めに、可塑剤、安定剤、粘度低下剤および溶剤を分散剤を用いて1000回転/分で5〜10分間混合する。次いで、PVC樹脂を混合物に徐々に導入する。導入時間は500回転/分で2〜5分である。
インク製造プロセスの最後に、安定剤を5分間の導入時間で500回転/分の撹拌下に導入することもできる。
ブルックフィールド(登録商標)型粘度と粒径の測定
ブルックフィールド粘度計を用いて20℃で測定した粘度はインクジェット用途では30mPa.s以下、好ましくは20mPa.s以下にしなければならない。
実施例1の組成物の粘度を60回転/分のBrookfield DV-II+ pro(登録商標)粘度計を用いて23℃で測定した。粘度は11.1mPa.sである。
実施例1の組成物中に存在する粒子の径を測定した。粒子の径は2μm以下である。
印刷試験(本発明の対象方法の(i)の段階)
本発明組成物(実施例1)を、Xaar Omnidot(登録商標)760 GS8印刷用ヘッドを備えた圧電インクジェットプリンタ、(Xaar社、英国、ケンブリッジ)を用いて金型上に印刷した。実施した印刷のタイプは以下の通り:
(試験1)金型上に所定の模様を360dpiで1パスで印刷する。印刷模様は良好な解像度すなわち非常にはっきりした模様輪郭で得られる。しかし、不透明度はさらに強くなるはずである、
(試験2)金型上に所定の模様を360dpiで2パスで印刷する。塗布するインク厚さは試験1の場合より厚くする。従って、得られる模様は試験1よりも不透明であり、模様輪郭が若干はっきりしなくなる。
(試験3)金型上に所定の模様を720dpiで1パスで印刷する。得られる模様は試験1の場合より不透明であり、模様輪郭は非常にはっきりしている。印刷品質は試験1および2の場合よりはるかに良い。
印刷試験(本発明の対象方法の(ii)〜(iv)の段階)
試験3の予め印刷された金型を用いてスラッシュ成形プロセスを行う。
T=295℃の熱風炉内で金型を4分間加熱する。4分の加熱のした後、金型を炉から取り出し、可塑化したPVC粉末を表面に散布する。金型温度は210℃になる。次に、粉末が表面上に確実に均一に分散するように金型を操作する。金型に粉末を振り掛けてから20秒後に金型をひっくり返して、ゲル化しなかった過剰な粉末を除去する。ゲル化の間に金型は可塑化したPVC粉末の層で被覆される。次いで、金型を炉に戻して70秒間加熱する。
可塑化したPVC粉末の上記ゲル化段階後に金型を炉から取り出し、冷水(T=23℃)のタンク内に90秒間浸漬する。次いで、圧縮空気を噴き付けて金型を乾燥させ、形成されたスキンを金型から剥がす。印刷模様を有する可塑化したPVCスキンが得られる。
カラー並置試験
この実施例では赤色インクを用いる。その組成は実施例1に示した配合物と同様であるが、酸化チタン顔料の代わりにClariant社から商品名Fast Red BNPで市販の赤色番号214顔料を2%用いた。
次いで、実施例3の印刷試験を繰り返すが、白色インクが供給される上記印刷用ヘッドの隣に、赤色インクが供給される第2印刷用ヘッドを並べて、所定の2色模様を360dpiの鮮明度で1パスで金型上に印刷する。
次いで、実施例4で説明した手順を繰り返してPVCスキンを製造する。
印刷された赤色と白色の模様は良好な不透明度を示す。2つのインクの印刷品質は良く、2色の模様の境界は鮮明に分離し、優れたコントラストが得られた。
Claims (12)
- 組成物の全重量に対して下記(1)〜(4)を下記重量比率で含む組成物:
(1)5〜20%の粒径が0.1〜10μmの少なくとも一種の熱可塑性樹脂、
(2)1〜20%の少なくとも一種の顔料、装飾用フレークおよび真珠層の中から選択される改質剤、
(3)5〜20%の少なくとも一種の可塑剤、
(4)45〜75%の少なくとも一種の有機溶剤。 - 組成物の全重量に対して下記(1)〜(4)を下記重量比率で含む請求項1に記載の組成物:
(1)10〜15%の粒径が0.1〜10μmの少なくとも一種の熱可塑性樹脂、
(2)5〜15%の少なくとも一種の顔料、装飾用フレークおよび真珠層の中から選択される改質剤、
(3)10〜15%の少なくとも一種の可塑剤、
(4)50〜70%の少なくとも一種の有機溶剤。 - 20℃での粘度が5〜40mPa.sである請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 20℃での粘度が10〜25mPa.sである請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 熱可塑性樹脂と可塑剤の重量比が1:0.1〜1:2である請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 熱可塑性樹脂がポリ塩化ビニル樹脂である請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 溶剤がイソホロン、酢酸ペンチル、乳酸アルキル、アジピン酸、グルタル酸およびコハク酸の二塩基性エステルおよびこれらの混合物の中から選択される請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含む成形品。
- 自動車内装部品、革細工品、旅行鞄およびサドルの中から選択される請求項8に記載の成形品。
- 下記(i)〜(iv)の一連の段階を含む印刷表面を有する成形品を得る方法:
(i)請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物(A)の層を金型上に形成し、
(ii)金型を組成物(A)のゲル化点まで加熱し、
(iii)(ii)で得られた部分的または完全に被覆された金型上に、熱可塑性樹脂または熱可塑性樹脂混合物を含む組成物(B)の層を形成し、
(iv)金型を組成物Bのゲル化点まで加熱する。 - (i)の段階で直径が40μm以下の印刷用ノズルを用いて組成物(A)の層を塗布する請求項10に記載の方法。
- (i)の段階で用いる組成物(A)がポリ塩化ビニル樹脂を含み、(ii)の段階で金型を180〜260℃の温度に加熱する請求項10または11に記載の方法。
