Description
前記密封環Wが、これの一面Wbから他面Wcに亘る貫通気孔を有するとともに、所定の規格寸法である外径φ54mm×内径φ40.5mm×厚み6.5mmに形成されている前記密封環Wの表面に存在する0.5mlの液体rが、湿度50%で温度25℃において、前記密封環Wの内部に吸収されるに要する透水時間(min)が、10〜60で規定されることを特徴とするものである。
成形工程cは、造粒乾燥工程bで得られた顆粒(以下、造粒粉と称呼する)を金型に入れ、プレス機を用いて面圧1000kgf/cm2 にてプレス成形を行う工程である。
「透水時間」とは、SiC摺動部材の表面に存在する水滴が、SiC摺動部材の内部に吸収される最短の時間のことである。(吸収時間とは、SiC摺動部材の表面に水滴のある状態から、水滴を落とす前と同じ状態に到達したことが目視により確認できる最短の時間とする。)
静止密封環4をSiC摺動部材製のもの(密封環Wの一例)としても良い。この場合、摺動面4aがWaに、そして、静止密封環4の符記されない外周面が外周面Wbに、また、静止密封環4の符記されない内周面が内周面Wcにそれぞれ相当する。

Claims (7)
- 回転軸と一体回転する回転側の密封環と、ハウジングに相対固定される静止側の密封環と、回転側及び静止側の各前記密封環の摺動面どうしを押付け合う弾性手段とを有して成るメカニカルシールにおける前記密封環を形成するSiC摺動部材であって、
前記密封環が、これの一面から他面に亘る貫通気孔を有するとともに、所定の規格寸法である外径φ54mm×内径φ40.5mm×厚み6.5mmに形成されている前記密封環の表面に存在する0.5mlの液体が、湿度50%で温度25℃において、前記密封環の内部に吸収されるに要する透水時間(min)が、10〜60で規定されるSiC摺動部材。 - 前記単位量の液体が水である請求項1に記載のSiC摺動部材。
- 密度(g/cm3 )が2.70〜3.05である請求項1又は2に記載のSiC摺動部材。
- 硬度(Hv)が1650〜2400である請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のSiC摺動部材。
- 曲げ強さ(Mpa)が330〜410である請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載のSiC摺動部材。
- ヤング率(Gpa)が200〜410である請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載のSiC摺動部材。
- 熱伝導率〔W/(m・k)〕が60〜154である請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載のSiC摺動部材。
