なお、相対速度は回転軸の中心を基準として外周側に向かい、11.25mm離れた位置(以下、位置Pという。)における固定部材5aに対する可動部材5bの回転速度である。面圧は固定部材5aに対する可動部材5bの単位面積当たりの圧力であり、固定部材5aと可動部材5bとを当接させるのに予め設定された加圧力Fを可動部材5bの摺動面15bの面積で除すことで求められ、面積は、寸法測定用のゲージを備えた光学顕微鏡を用い、倍率を50倍として可動部材5bの凸状部の外径および内径をゲージで測定し算出した。

Claims (9)
- 固定部材と、該固定部材に当接して摺動する可動部材とを備えた摺動部品であって、前記固定部材および前記可動部材は、それぞれグラファイトを含有する炭化珪素質焼結体からなり、前記グラファイトの含有量が、いずれも1.5質量%以上10質量%未満であり、前記固定部材および前記可動部材のいずれか一方が他方より4質量%以上多いことを特徴とする摺動部品。
- 前記炭化珪素質焼結体中の前記グラファイトの平均結晶粒径が4μm以上43μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記炭化珪素質焼結体は、前記固定部材と前記可動部材とが当接するそれぞれの摺動面における開気孔率が0.2%以上4%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記炭化珪素質焼結体は、熱伝導率が157W/(m・K)以上であって、かつ4点曲げ強度が282MPa以上であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれかに記載の摺動部品。
- 前記グラファイトの含有量が多い方の前記摺動面より、前記グラファイトの含有量が少ない方の前記摺動面に、開口部が円状である気孔が多く点在していることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載の摺動部品。
- 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載の摺動部品からなることを特徴とするメカニカルシールリング。
- 請求項6に記載のメカニカルシールリングを備えたことを特徴とするメカニカルシール。
