Description
それらの接合は、接合端部にローラを押し付けて接合面を互いに相手側端部に向かって引き伸ばし両端が重なり合うようにして接合することが一般的である(特許文献1〜3参照)。また、特許文献1には、これに加え対を成す揺動爪をゴムシートに押し付けてその外側縁の相対距離を縮小させてゴムシートを接合するものも記載されている。
即ち、
(1)自動的に接合を行う場合、進行方向側のシート部材(プライ)が少しでも開いてくると途中で修正することができず、接合手段例えば接合ロールが空回りしてうまく接合出来ない場合が起こり得る。
(2)接合端部を均一に接合するには、シート部材に対して常に接合ロールを一定角度で当てる必要があるため、とくにシート部材の傾斜が大きい場合には、その傾斜部分をうまく接合することが出来ない。
(3)シート部材の端付近は、折り返しプライウェーブ対策として、その下側の部材と密着させることができないため、上から押さえつける接合装置を使用することはできない。
しかし、超大型タイヤ用のプライは厚く、トリートも太く、扱うのは重労働であるばかりではなく、従来のハンドジッパー装置は総重量13kg程度もあり人が持って作業するには重く、また、作業員がハンドジッパー装置で補強コード入りプライ接合を行うと接合部の品質がばらつくという問題もある。
したがって、生産性向上及び作業負担の軽減を目的にプライの自動接合(ジョイント)が求められているが、人の技量に頼って行っていた作業を自動化することは容易ではなく、これまでハンドジッパー装置を自動化したものは見当たらない。
また、本発明は、成型ドラム周上に巻き付けられた磁石吸着性金属コードを埋設したシート部材の接合端部同士を、移動しながら接合してシート製品を形成するシート製品の製造方法であって、上下一対の磁石付き取り込み手段により、前記シート部材の接合端部を吸引して装置内に取り込む工程と、取り込み後、前記シート部材を前記シート部材の接合位置を所定位置に維持するための挟み込み手段で挟み込み、前記シート部材の接合位置を維持した状態で通過する前記シート部材を噛み込み手段で噛み込んで接合する工程と、を有し、前記接合する工程は、前記挟み込み手段に備えた押圧手段で前記シート部材を前記噛み込み手段に押しつけて行うことを特徴とするシート製品の製造方法である。
図1は、本実施形態に係るシート部材の自動ジッパー装置を模式的に示す正面図である。
本自動ジッパー装置1は、シート部材を接合する同軸上対向して配置された噛み込み手段である一対のベベルギア10と、ベベルギア10をその中心軸10aの回りで回転駆動するエアモータ11と、ベベルギア10を、接合するシート部材の傾斜に追随させてその高さを調節する傾斜部追随シリンダ12と、挟み込みシリンダ13と、を備えている。また、シート部材を一対のベベルギア10に押し付けてシート部材の接合を補助するため、後述する支持枠体16に回転可能に取り付けられた一対の押圧ローラ15(4)がベベルギア10の下側に対向配置されている。なお、押圧ローラ15(4)は互いに咬み合う小径のベベルギアであってもよい。
各ベベルギア10は、従来のものと同様にその下部側が図2に示すようにその外周面に形成された歯10bで互いに噛み合わさるように、その中心軸10aの延長線が交差するよう配置されている。ベベルギア10に対して相対移動する一対のシート部材Sはベベルギア10に噛み込まれて互いに接合される。
ここで、挟み込みシリンダ13、ピストンロッド13a、アーム13b、支持枠体16、押圧ローラ15(4)、15(6)、及び部材接触位置安定磁石15(3)は、前記シート部材の挟み込み手段を構成する。また、挟み込みシリンダ13、ピストンロッド13a、アーム13b、支持枠体16、押圧ローラ15(4)、15(6)は挟み込み手段が有する押圧手段を構成する。なお、挟み込み手段は前記具体的構成に限定されず、要は部材接触位置安定磁石15(3)との間でベベルギア10を通過する前記シート部材を挟み込んで、一対のベベルギア10に押し付けかつその接合位置をベベルギア10に対して一定に維持できるものであればよい。
また、下部側には、下部支持枠体16bのベベルギア10より前側に配置され、前記誘導磁石ローラ15(1)と対をなしてシート部材Sを取り込みかつ案内する取り込み手段である誘導磁石ローラ15(2)と、前記押圧ローラ15(4)、押圧ローラ15(6)が設けられている(なお、誘導磁石ローラ15(1)、15(2)は必ずしも誘導磁石である必要はなく、永久磁石であってもよい)。また、上下部の各ローラは図示しない適当な支持手段(又は支持枠)で回転自在に支承されている。
横行装置20は、適宜の駆動機構、本実施形態では、図示しないモータで回転駆動されるリードネジに係合したナットが一体に取付けられており、モータの可逆回転に従って成型ドラムDの回転軸に沿って図中左右に直線運動するように構成されている。なお、横行装置20の駆動手段としては、ラックとピニオンを用いて、ピニオンを例えばモータで回転させることでラックに一体に取り付けた横行装置20を移動させてもよい。或いはその他の周知の駆動手段を用いることも勿論可能である。
成型ドラムD上に貼り付けられたシート部材Sの両端部を接合するには、シート部材Sを成型ドラムDに貼り付けた後、シート部材Sの接合面(ジョイント面)が接合(ジッピング)方向において水平になるように、例えばゼロアングルの投影光に合わせて突き合わせを行う。その際、シート部材Sの突き合わせ端部を上向きに屈曲させて成形ドラムDの表面から浮き上がった状態にしておく。これにより下側の誘導磁石ローラ15(2)がその隙間から容易にシート部材Sの下側に進入することができる。
次に、自動ジッパー装置1のジョイントボタン(図示せず)を押すと、成型ドラムDが図示しない回転駆動機構により回転し、自動ジッパー装置1の真下にシート部材Sの突き合わせ(接合)端部がきたところで停止させる。
ここで、誘導磁石ローラ15(1)、15(2)は、ローラ部に電磁石を備えたものであって、磁石吸着性金属の補強コードを複数本引き揃えたシート部材Sの前記浮き上がった端部を、前記自動ジッパー装置の前記一対の誘導磁石ローラ15(1)、15(2)がその磁力を利用して吸引して自動ジッパー装置1内に取り込む。誘導磁石ローラ15(1)、15(2)は、シート部材Sを引き込んだ後は、その磁力でシート部材Sの盲動を抑制するため、シート部材S間がジョイント前に開くのを防止することができる。
ここで、ピストンロッド13aを繰り出すと、それに伴い「く」字形アーム13bが軸13cを中心に旋回し、この「く」字形アーム13bの下端に一体に取り付けられた前記支持枠体16と共に押圧ローラ15(4)、押圧ローラ15(6)を上昇させ、部材接触位置安定磁石15(3)に吸着されたシート部材Sを、押圧ローラ15(4)で一対のベベルギア10に押し付け、かつ押圧ローラ15(6)で前記部材接触位置安定磁石15(3)に押し付けて保持し、前記ベベルギア10で噛み込まれて接合される間、シート部材Sが盲動しないように保持する。
既に述べたように、シート部材Sは、自動ジッパー装置1の進行方向と直交する方向に配置された上下一対の誘導磁石ローラ15(1)、15(2)の磁力で吸引されて、自動ジッパー装置1内に引き込まれる。また、引き込まれたシート部材Sは、既に述べたように、上下一対の誘導磁石ローラ15(1)、15(2)の磁力と、前記押圧ローラ15(4)、15(6)で下からの押圧力を受けて位置保持されるため盲動することがない。
また、自動ジッパー装置内に引き込まれたシート部材Sは、部材接触位置安定磁石15(3)に吸着されると共に、下部側の押圧ローラ15(4)により前記ベベルギア10に、また押圧ローラ15(6)により前記部材接触位置安定磁石15(3)に押圧された状態で、上部側の前後一対のガイドローラ15(5)と前記小径のベベルギア又は押圧ローラ15(4)、押圧ローラ15(6)により案内されて相対移動し、ベベルギア10に対し常に一定の角度で接触する状態を維持しつつ一対のベベルギア10に噛み込まれて接合縁同士が確実に接合される。
図示のように、シート部材Sは、ベベルギア10による接合前に、そのベベルギア10の両側となる部分が部材接触位置安定磁石15(3)により上方に吸引され、かつ前記押圧ローラ15(6)でそれに押し付けられ挟持された状態でその位置が保持され、かつ前記押圧ローラ15(4)で前記ベベルギア10に押し付けられるため、ジョイント位置が中央の線から右や左にずれることがない。これにより、ハンドジッパー装置を用いた場合のように、接合した後に余り部分を手で押さえ込んでいく必要が無く、また、既に述べたようにシート部材Sの接合端部は、ベベルギア10に対して常に一定の角度で接触して、ベベルギア10間でその端部同士が噛み込まれて接合されるため、シート部材は常に均一に接合される。
(1)横行装置により作業を行うことで、人間の作業による接合品質のバラツキが無くなる。
(2)横行装置により作業を自動化することで、重量物(ハンドジッパー装置)による作業が無くなり取り扱い者の軽労化につながる。
(3)傾斜部追随シリンダにより傾斜部の自動追随機能を持たせたことで、作業員の技や調整に頼っていた部分を自動化して無くすことができる。
(4)誘導磁石ローラを取り付けたことで、円滑かつ容易にゴムシート部材を装置内へ誘導することができる。
(5)誘導磁石ローラを取り付けたことで、ゴムシート部材間がジョイント前に開くことを防止することができる。
(6)部材接触位置安定磁石を取り付けたことで、ゴムシート部材とベベルギアを常に一定の角度で接触させることができる。
Claims (8)
- 成型ドラム周上に巻き付けられたシート部材の接合端部同士を、移動しながら接合するシート部材の自動ジッパー装置であって、
前記一対のシート部材を装置内に取り込む取り込み手段と、
前記装置内に取り込んだ前記シート部材の接合端部同士を互いに噛み合う歯間で噛み込んで接合する一対の回転駆動される噛み込み手段と、
前記噛み込み手段を通過する前記シート部材を挟み込んで所定位置に維持する挟み込み手段と、
を有し、
前記挟み込み手段が前記シート部材を前記噛み込み手段に押しつける押圧手段を備えたことを特徴とするシート部材の自動ジッパー装置。 - 請求項1に記載されたシート部材の自動ジッパー装置において、
前記シート部材は磁石吸着性金属コードを埋設したゴム部材からなり、前記取り込み手段は磁石を備え、自動ジッパー装置の前記噛み込み手段よりも進行方向前部において前記進行方向と直交して上下一対配置されていることを特徴とするシート部材の自動ジッパー装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載されたシート部材の自動ジッパー装置において、
シート部材の傾斜に対応して前記噛み込み手段の上下位置を調整する位置調整手段を備えていることを特徴とするシート部材の自動ジッパー装置。 - 請求項3に記載されたシート部材の自動ジッパー装置において、

前記挟み込み手段は、前記一対の噛み込み手段の両側部に設けた磁石と、前記磁石に吸引されたシート部材を前記磁石に対して押圧する押圧手段と、を有することを特徴とするシート部材の自動ジッパー装置。 - 請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載されたシート部材の自動ジッパー装置であって、
前記噛み込み手段は互いに噛み合う一対のベベルギアであることを特徴とするシート部材の自動ジッパー装置。 - 成型ドラム周上に巻き付けられた磁石吸着性金属コードを埋設したシート部材の接合端部同士を、移動しながら接合してシート製品を形成するシート製品の製造方法であって、

取り込み後、前記シート部材を前記シート部材の接合位置を所定位置に維持するための挟み込み手段で挟み込み、前記シート部材の接合位置を維持した状態で通過する前記シート部材を噛み込み手段で噛み込んで接合する工程と、を有し、
前記接合する工程は、前記挟み込み手段に備えた押圧手段で前記シート部材を前記噛み込み手段に押しつけて行うことを特徴とするシート製品の製造方法。 - 請求項7に記載されたシート製品の製造方法において、
シート部材の傾斜に対応して前記噛み込み手段の上下位置を調整する位置調整工程、を有することを特徴とするシート製品の製造方法。
