上記の化学式において、CH4が原料メタンを表し、Cl2は塩素であり、CH3Clは塩化メチルであり、HClは塩化水素であり、H2Oは水であり、O2は酸素であり、そして、CH3OHは製品メタノールである。

化学式(4)から、すべての塩素合成物がプロセス内で消費されると述べられる。同様に、水の形成は、その消費と釣り合う。
Claims (4)
- 単一の工程において、メタン及び酸素からメタノールを製造する方法であって、メタンおよび酸素が、塩素を供給するための塩化銅、混成触媒の融点を低下させる塩化カリウム、ホルムアルデヒド、一酸化炭素および二酸化炭素の形成を抑制する鉛塩化物を含む混成の触媒上で反応してメタノールを生成し、前記反応が375〜475℃の温度範囲及び1〜20気圧の圧力下で行われることを特徴とするメタノールを製造する方法。
- 前記反応は、流動床炉で行われることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 過剰なメタンを使用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 酸素が空気により供給されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
