Description
本願は、以下の仮特許出願、2009年1月9日に出願した米国特許出願第61/143459号、2009年2月12日に出願した米国特許出願第61/152140号、2009年3月5日に出願した米国特許出願第61/157579号、2009年3月5日に出願した米国特許出願第61/157580号、2009年4月17日に出願した米国特許出願第61/170222号、2009年9月15日に出願した米国特許出願第61/242406号、及び2009年10月19日に出願した米国特許出願第61/252770号の優先権を主張し、かつこれら全体を参照として組み込む。
本発明は、全体的に、電気活性メガネに関する。より具体的には、本発明は、任意のフレームタイプ、スタイルまたはサイズに適合する電気活性レンズを動作させかつ同期させる電子機器及び関連する充電デバイスを提供する。
本発明の1以上の電気活性レンズを作動させる頭部傾斜角度、
本発明の1以上の電気活性レンズを作動停止させる頭部傾斜角度、
ユーザが見る対象とユーザとの間の距離であって本発明の1以上の電気活性レンズを作動または作動停止させる距離、
動作モードの数(例えば、スタンバイモードまたは作動モードまたはオフモードのような動作モードの包含または排除)、
選択した動作モード間の切替方法(例えば、どの上記機構を使用するか選択し、ユーザが切替または状態の順序を含むモード間で切り替えることを可能とする)、
及び、ユーザ規定(例えば、本発明の電気活性レンズにおける電気活性領域によって供給される屈折力)、
のいずれか含む。
本発明のさまざまな実施形態を上述したが、理解すべきことは、これらが例として示されており、限定しないことである。上述した任意の導電素子(例えばフレームの上側及び下側部分)は、全体的に導電性を有する(かつ非導電材料で覆われる可能性がある)または埋め込まれたもしくは埋もれた導電素子(例えば導電コア)または非導電性の外側もしくは包囲層を含む。さらに、例えば電気ワイヤまたは接続として説明されるまたは参照された任意の導電リンクは、当業者が理解するように、光学導電リンクを代替的にまたはさらに有する。埋め込まれた導電リンクを用いて本発明の電気活性メガネの電気素子を結合するまたは接続する例示的な技術(例えば電子部品、電源供給及び電気活性レンズの制御)は、当業者が理解するように、1以上の導電光学リンク(例えば1以上の光ファイバ)を埋め込むために使用されてもよい。
Claims (15)
- 第1電気活性レンズと、
前記第1電気活性レンズに隣接する第1テンプル部分を有するフレームであって、前記第1テンプル部分が第1電子モジュールを有する、フレームと、
前記第1電気活性レンズに接続され、第1延長可能導体を介して前記第1電子モジュールと遮断可能に接続された第1導電部材と、
前記第1電気活性レンズの周囲に少なくとも部分的に延在する第1レンズリムと、
を備え、
前記第1導電部材が、第1導電体と接続され、
前記第1導電体が、前記第1電気活性レンズの縁部に沿って位置する第1溝部と前記第1溝部の反対側にありかつ前記第1レンズリムの内縁部に位置する第2溝部との間で少なくとも部分的に保持されることを特徴とする電気活性メガネ。 - 前記第1延長可能導体が、バネ導体を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記バネ導体が、少なくとも1つの導電素子を有し、
前記導電素子が、前記第1テンプル部分が開いた構造にあるときに伸長し、前記第1テンプル部分が閉じた構造にあるときに後退するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電気活性メガネ。 - 少なくとも1つの前記導電素子が、伸長時に前記第1導電部材と接続し、後退時に前記第1導電部材と接続解除することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記第1電気活性レンズと接続しかつ第2延長可能導体を介して前記第1電子モジュールと遮断可能に接続された第2導電部材をさらに備え、
前記第2導電部材が、第2導電体に接続され、
前記第2導電体が、少なくとも1つの絶縁体によって前記第1導電体から離間され、
前記第2導電体が、前記第1電気活性レンズの前記第1溝部と前記第1溝部の反対側にありかつ前記第1レンズリムの内縁部に位置する第3溝部との間で少なくとも部分的に保持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気活性メガネ。 - 前記第1電子モジュールが、取り外し可能であり、誘導充電領域を有し、前記第1電気活性レンズを作動させるために第1駆動信号を提供するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 第1動作モードと第2動作モードとの間で当該電気活性メガネを移行させるように構成されたコントローラをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記コントローラが、前記第1延長可能導体の作動及び前記第1延長可能導体の状態に基づいて前記第1動作モードと前記第2動作モードとの間で当該電気活性メガネを移行させるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記コントローラが、容量及び駆動信号波形の変化の少なくとも一方を検出して前記第1動作モードと前記第2動作モードとの間で当該電気活性メガネを移行させるようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記コントローラが、前記第1動作モード及び前記第2動作モードの一方と第3動作モードとの間で当該電気活性メガネを移行させるようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記第1動作モードが、動作のスタンバイモードであり、
前記第2動作モードが、動作の作動モードであり、
前記第3動作モードが、動作の非作動モードであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の電気活性メガネ。 - 前記コントローラが、ユーザの音声命令に基づいて、前記第1動作モードと前記第2動作モードとの間で当該電気活性メガネを移行させるようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記コントローラが、ユーザが前記フレームを開くこと及びユーザが前記フレームを閉じることの少なくとも一方に基づいて、前記第1動作モードと前記第2動作モードとの間で当該電気活性メガネを移行させるようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記コントローラが、当該電気活性メガネが上下反転して位置付けられていること及び当該電気活性メガネが上下反転位置から正立位置に切り替えられていることの少なくとも一方に基づいて、前記第1動作モードと前記第2動作モードとの間で当該電気活性メガネを移行させるようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気活性メガネ。
- 前記第1溝部が、第1電気活性レンズの前記縁部に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気活性メガネ。
