Description
0:1〜1:0のPd:Auの原子組成で酸化アルミニウムに分散させた一連のPd−Au触媒を以下のように準備した。硝酸パラジウム及びアルミナ微粒子担体を含有するHAuCl4の水性混合物に、その担体上にAu0として金を加水分解させ、沈殿させるためのベースを加えた。そのスラリーは、適切な期間の後、ろ過され、そのろ液は塩化物イオンを除くために洗浄され、その物質を乾燥させ次に焼成した。この技術によって準備された触媒は、本明細書で「フレッシュ」触媒と呼ばれる。

Claims (9)
- 酸化触媒と、排気駆動ターボチャージャーを備えた排気システムを備えるリーンバーン天然ガス燃料ディーゼルエンジンであって、
前記酸化触媒が、前記エンジンと前記ターボチャージャーの間に配置され、
前記酸化触媒が、パラジウム及び金の組合せを含み、
前記パラジウム及び金の少なくとも一部が合金として存在する、リーンバーン天然ガス燃料ディーゼルエンジン。 - 前記酸化触媒が、フロースルー基材に担持された、請求項1に記載されたエンジン。
- 前記酸化触媒が、排気マニホルド内部に配置されてなる、請求項1または2に記載されたエンジン。
- 前記エンジンが、複数のシリンダーを有してなり、かつ、
各シリンダーが、その排気マニホルド内部に酸化触媒を有してなる、請求項2または3に記載されたエンジン。 - 前記酸化触媒が、前記ターボチャージャーの排ガス注入口の内部に配置されてなる、請求項1または2に記載されたエンジン。
- 請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載されたエンジンを備えてなる、車両。
- 前記車両が大型車両である、請求項6に記載された車両。
- 請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載された、発電用の固定エンジン。
- リーンバーン天然ガス燃料ディーゼルエンジンからのメタン排出物を改善する方法であって、
所定の排ガス温度で、メタンを効果的に酸化する酸化触媒を介して前記エンジンからの排ガスを通過させること、
前記酸化触媒により処理された排ガスをターボチャージャーに通過させることを含み、
前記酸化触媒が、パラジウム及び金の組合せを含み、
前記パラジウム及び金の少なくとも一部が合金として存在する、方法。
