Description
本実施形態の抗糖化作用剤は、甘草葉部抽出物、マタタビ抽出物、ザクロ抽出物、マチルス抽出物、クスノハガシワ抽出物、セキセツソウ抽出物、ウメ抽出物、イロハモミジ抽出物及び真珠タンパク質加水分解物からなる群より選ばれる1種又は2種以上の天然物由来成分を有効成分として含有する。
本実施形態において、甘草葉部抽出物、マタタビ抽出物、ザクロ抽出物、マチルス抽出物、クスノハガシワ抽出物、セキセツソウ抽出物、ウメ抽出物及びイロハモミジ抽出物を製造するために使用する抽出原料は、甘草、マタタビ(学名:Actinidia polygama)、ザクロ(学名:Punica granatum)、マチルス(学名:Machilus odoratissima)、クスノハガシワ(学名:Mallotus philippinensis Mueller-Argoviensis)、セキセツソウ(学名:Centella asiatica)、ウメ(学名:Prunus mume Siebold et Zuccarini)及びイロハモミジ(学名:Acer palmatum)である。
本実施形態における真珠タンパク質加水分解物は、真珠層を有する貝の貝殻及び/又は真珠を脱灰処理に付し、これにより得られる真珠タンパク質(コンキオリン)を加水分解してなるものである。
以上のようにして得られる各天然物由来成分は、優れた抗糖化作用を有しているため、抗糖化作用剤の有効成分として用いることができる。
グルコース等の糖は、解糖系や酸化などにより、メチルグリオキサールや3−デオキシグルコソン等、分子内に連続した2つのカルボニル基を有するα−ジカルボニル化合物を生成する。これらα−ジカルボニル化合物は、通常の糖よりも10000倍程度反応性が高く、タンパク質中のアミノ基と反応して容易に糖化タンパク質を生成する。したがって、α−ジカルボニル化合物を分解する作用を有する成分は、タンパク質の糖化を抑制するものと考えられる。

式中、Aは「生成した安息香酸の物質量」を表し、Bは「反応液に加えた1−フェニル−1,2−プロパンジオンの物質量」を表す。
結果を表2に示す。

- 甘草葉部抽出物を有効成分として含有する抗糖化作用剤(皮膚老化、肌荒れまたは骨粗鬆症の予防または治療用途および飲食品の用途を除く)。
