Description
プラスチック容器10は、慣用されている様式の蓋が取り付けられることになる、ネジ付きの端部部分12と、好ましくは、垂直軸16を中心として実質的に対称な主本体部14と、容器10を支持するための直立リング18を比較的に平坦な下方に位置する面に画成するように形成された容器底部17と、を備えている。好適な実施形態では、直立リング18は、連続した環状面として構築されているが、代わりに、それぞれが下方に位置する面に容器10を支持するための底面を有する複数の下方に向く独立した脚部として構築することもできる。
また、実質直線部分26は、好ましくは、容器底部17の他の側壁の実質直線部分27に平行であり、これにより、比較的に高く狭い直立リングを有する深い差込み基部の形成を容易にする。この特徴の意図として、「実質的に平行」とは、約0°から約20°の範囲内として定義する。
好ましくは、長さLBは、また、直立容器底部側壁部分22の高さHBの約75%から約115%の範囲内である。
容器半完成品32を製造するため、加熱済みプラスチック予備成型品が、金型組立体70内に配置され、金型組立体がロックされる。そして、予備成型品は、予備成型品が自然に崩壊するのを防止するために予備吹込工程が行われ、そして、周知の再加熱延伸ブローモールディング工程を開始するために、延伸ロッドを用いて、あるいは他の方法によって、長手方向延伸される。
Claims (20)
- プラスチック容器を平面上に支持するための直立リングと、凹状底部部分とを有するプラスチック容器の製造方法であって、
直立リングと、前記直立リングの下方に形成された基礎突出部分とを有する容器半加工品を成型するステップと、
前記基礎突出部分が前記直立リングの上方に位置するまで、直立リングに対して上方に向かって前記基礎突出部分を相対的に変位するステップと、を含み、前記基礎突出部分は鉛直面に対して下方外向きに傾斜している実質直線部分を含む直立側壁部分を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記基礎突出部分を前記直立リングに対して相対的に変位した後に、前記直立側壁部分が、直立容器底部側壁部分を形成する請求項1に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記直立容器底部側壁部分は、約0.35インチから約1.2インチの範囲内の高さを有する請求項2に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記直立容器底部側壁部分は、環状側壁を画成する請求項2に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記直立側壁部分は、約0.018インチから約0.011インチの範囲内の平均壁厚を有する請求項2に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記平均壁厚は、約0.014インチである請求項5に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記容器は、第1の最大直径を有し、前記基礎突出部分は第2の最大直径を有し、前記第2の最大直径は、前記第1の最大直径の約110%から約80%の範囲内である請求項1に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記第2の最大直径は、前記第1の最大直径の約95%である請求項7に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記実質直線部分は、実質直線環状壁を画成するようにその周方向に対称に形成されている請求項1に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記直立容器底部側壁部分は、実質直線部分を含み、前記実質直線部分は鉛直面に対して傾斜している請求項2に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記実質直線部分は、鉛直面に対して約0°から約15°の範囲内で傾斜している請求項10に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記実質直線部分は高さを有し、前記基礎突出部分の実質直線直立側壁部分は、鉛直断面で測定された長さを有し、前記長さは、前記高さの約75%から約115%の範囲内である請求項10に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記基礎突出部分が前記直立リングの上方に位置するまで、直立リングに対して上方に向かって前記基礎突出部分を相対的に変位するステップは、前記基礎突出部分内に含まれるプラスチック材料を延伸するように行われる請求項1に記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 平面上に支持するための直立リングと、凹状底部部分とを有するプラスチック容器の製造方法であって、
金型組立体内に配置されたプラスチック予備成型品を加圧して、前記予備成型品から、直立リングと、前記直立リングの下方に形成された基礎突出部分とを有する容器半加工品を成型するステップと、
前記基礎突出部分が前記直立リングの上方に位置するまで、前記基礎突出部分を前記直立リングに対して上方に相対変位し、前記基礎突出部分に含まれるプラスチック材料を延伸するステップと、を含み、
前記基礎突出部分を相対変位するステップは、前記容器半加工品に圧力が残った状態で開始されることを特徴とする方法。 - 平面上に支持するための直立リングと、凹状底部部分とを有するプラスチック容器の製造方法であって、
金型組立体内に配置されたプラスチック予備成型品を加圧して、前記予備成型品から、直立リングと、前記直立リングの下方に形成された基礎突出部分とを有する容器半加工品を成型するステップと、
前記基礎突出部分が前記直立リングの上方に位置するまで、前記基礎突出部分を前記直立リングに対して上方に相対変位するステップと、を含み、
前記基礎突出部分を相対変位するステップは、前記容器半加工品に圧力が残った状態で開始され、
前記基礎突出部分を相対変位するステップは、前記容器半加工品を形成する間に金型内に生じる最大圧力の少なくとも50%の圧力で前記容器半加工品が加圧されている間に開始される、プラスチック容器の製造方法。 - 平面上に支持するための直立リングと、凹状底部部分とを有するプラスチック容器の製造方法であって、
金型組立体内に配置されたプラスチック予備成型品を加圧して、前記予備成型品から、直立リングと、前記直立リングの下方に形成された基礎突出部分とを有する容器半加工品を成型するステップと、
前記基礎突出部分が前記直立リングの上方に位置するまで、前記基礎突出部分を前記直立リングに対して上方に相対変位するステップと、を含み、
前記基礎突出部分を相対変位するステップは、前記容器半加工品に圧力が残った状態で開始され、
前記基礎突出部分を相対配置するステップは、前記容器半加工品が少なくとも260psiで加圧されている間に開始される、プラスチック容器の製造方法。 - 前記基礎突出部分は最下端部を有し、当該最下端部はその反対側の端部よりも幅が広く、前記反対側の端部は、前記容器半加工品の長手方向軸に対して前記最下端部に向かって外方に傾斜している実質的直線側壁を有する前記直立リングに対して近接している、請求項1記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記基礎突出部分の最大直径は、前記容器半加工品の残りの部分の最大直径の約80%から約110%の範囲内である、請求項17記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 直立リングに対して上方に向かって前記基礎突出部分を相対的に変位するステップは、前記基礎突出部分を前記直立リングの内側に位置する中央押上領域へと変更し、これにより、前記基礎突出部分の実質的直線部分が、長手方向軸に対して約0度の角度の直立容器底部側壁部分を形成する、請求項1記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
- 前記成型するステップは、成形組立体内の予備成形品を加圧することを含み、前記相対的に変位するステップは、前記容器半加工品が大気圧に比べて加圧された状態にある間に開始される、請求項1記載のプラスチック容器の製造方法。
