Description
Claims (6)
- 摩擦撹拌接合(FSW)によって第1の被加工物および第2の被加工物を互いに接合する方法であって、
(a)互いに直交する構造部材と、その間に位置し所定の形状の座面を規定する結合領域と、を有する前記第1の被加工物を設ける工程と、
(b)前記第1の被加工物の前記構造部材の一方を前記第2の被加工物の表面に隣接接触させる工程と、
(c)FSWツールの肩部を前記第1の被加工物の互いに直交する前記構造部材の間に位置する前記結合領域の前記座面に加圧接触させ、前記FSWツールの前記肩部より伸長するピンを前記第1の被加工物の前記構造部材の1つに対しある角度方向をもって貫入させて、前記第1の被加工物と前記第2の被加工物の間に摩擦撹拌接合領域を形成することによって、前記第1の被加工物と前記第2の被加工物を互いに接合する工程と、
を備え、
工程(c)においては、前記FSWツールのピンは、前記第1の被加工物の前記構造部材の1つによって確立される平面に対し0度より大きく90度より小さい角度をもって配置され、
前記座面はアーチ状の凸型形状をなし、前記FSWツールの前記肩部は前記座面にぴったり係合するアーチ状の凹型形状をなし、
工程(c)においては、前記FSWツールのピンを前記第1の被加工物の前記構造部材に対しある角度方向をもって貫入させた状態で、前記FSWツールを、前記第1の被加工物の長手方向に沿って移動させて摩擦撹拌接合領域を形成する
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第1の被加工物の少なくとも一の側縁部および前記第2の被加工物の対応箇所に接触する接着剤ビードもしくは界面シーリング剤を設ける工程をさらに備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の被加工物の向かい合う側縁部および前記第2の被加工物の対応箇所に接触する接着剤ビードもしくは界面シーリング剤を設ける工程をさらに備えることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の被加工物は、Z型梁部材、I型梁部材、C型梁部材、L型梁部材、U型梁部材、オメガ型梁部材、逆T型梁部材から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 摩擦撹拌接合(FSW)システムであって、
第1の被加工物と第2の被加工物であって、
前記第1の被加工物は互いに直交する構造部材とその間に位置し所定の形状の座面を規定する結合領域を有し、
前記第1の被加工物の構造部材の一方が第2の被加工物と隣接接触し、両者間の接合を可能にする構造を有する前記第1の被加工物と前記第2の被加工物と、
前記座面にぴったり係合する形状の肩部と、前記肩部より伸長するピンを有するFSWツールであって、
前記FSWツールの前記肩部は、前記肩部より伸長する前記ピンが前記第1の被加工物の構造部材の1つに対しある角度方向をもって貫入することができるよう、前記第1の被加工物の互いに直交する構造部材間の前記結合領域において前記座面と加圧接触が可能であり、これにより前記第1の被加工物と前記第2の被加工物の間に摩擦撹拌接合領域を形成するFSWツールと、
を備え、
前記FSWツールの前記肩部と前記座面とがぴったりと係合することで、前記第1の被加工物の前記構造部材の1つによって確立される平面に対し0度より大きく90度より小さい角度をもって前記ピンを配置でき、
前記座面はアーチ状の凸型形状をなし、前記FSWツールの前記肩部は前記座面にぴったり係合するアーチ状の凹型形状をなすとともに、
前記FSWツールは、前記ピンが前記第1の被加工物の前記構造部材の1つに対しある角度方向をもって貫入した状態において、前記第1の被加工物の長手方向に沿って移動する
ことを特徴とする、摩擦撹拌接合(FSW)システム。 - 前記第1の被加工物は、Z型梁部材、I型梁部材、C型梁部材、L型梁部材、U型梁部材、オメガ型梁部材、逆T型梁部材から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のシステム。
