Description
前記液晶表示パネルに制御信号を供給するフレキシブル配線基板と、
前記フレキシブル配線基板における前記導光板の側壁面に対向した搭載領域に配置され、前記バックライト光の光量を検出するフォトセンサとを備え、
前記フレキシブル配線基板に、前記液晶パネルに前記制御信号を供給するための信号配線が形成され、
前記フォトセンサは、前記第1のフレームの側壁部に形成された孔または切り欠きを通して、前記導光板の側壁面に対向配置され、
前記信号配線は、前記フォトセンサの搭載領域に近接又は重畳するようにして、前記フレキシブル配線基板に形成されている液晶表示装置である。
前記フォトセンサの搭載領域は、前記光源が配置される側壁面と異なる辺部の側壁面である(1)乃至(4)の内のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置である。
図1は本発明の実施形態1の液晶表示装置の概略構成を説明するための上面図であり、特に、表示面側からの上面図である。以下、図1に基づいて、実施形態1の液晶表示装置について説明する。ただし、以下の説明では、説明を簡単にするために、下フレームLF内に形成されるモールド部材(中モールド)等は省略する。
図11は本発明の実施形態2の液晶表示装置の概略構成を説明するための断面図であり、実施形態1の図3に対応する図面である。ただし、実施形態2の液晶表示装置は、フレキシブル配線基板FPCを両面テープDFTで中フレームMFに固定する構成を除く他の構成は、実施形態1の液晶表示装置と同様の構成となる。従って、以下の説明では、両面テープDFTによるフレキシブル配線基板FPCの固定について詳細に説明する。
UF……上フレーム、MF……中フレーム、LF……下フレーム、PDH……センサ孔
MS……反射シート、LG……導光板、OS……光学シート、AD……固定テープ
POL1,POL2……偏光板、SUB1……第1基板、SUB2……第2基板
DR……駆動回路、FPC……フレキシブル配線基板、PCB……電源回路
CN……コネクタ、CC……基板カバー、CP……突出部、PDC……切り欠き部
DFT……両面テープ、FSC……フォトセンサ基板
Claims (5)
- 光源から光を面状のバックライト光に変換して照射する導光板と、前記導光板を収納する第1のフレームと、前記バックライト光の照射面側に配置される液晶表示パネルとを備える液晶表示装置であって、
前記液晶表示パネルに制御信号を供給するフレキシブル配線基板と、
前記フレキシブル配線基板における前記導光板の側壁面に対向した搭載領域に配置され、前記バックライト光の光量を検出するフォトセンサとを備え、
前記フレキシブル配線基板に、前記液晶パネルに前記制御信号を供給するための信号配線が形成され、
前記フォトセンサは、前記第1のフレームの側壁部に形成された孔または切り欠きを通して、前記導光板の側壁面に対向配置され、
前記信号配線は、前記フォトセンサの搭載領域に近接又は重畳するようにして、前記フレキシブル配線基板に形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 第1の面に辺縁部から延在する額縁状の額縁部と前記バックライト光を照射する開口部とが形成され、前記第1の面に対向する第2の面が側壁部に沿って開口される第2のフレームを備え、
前記第2のフレームは、前記第1のフレームと前記第2のフレームとの嵌合時に、前記第1のフレームの側壁部から前記第2のフレームの側壁部に貫通する前記孔または前記切り欠きを有し、
前記第1のフレームの側壁部から前記第2のフレームの側壁部に貫通する前記孔または切り欠きを通して、前記導光板の側壁面に前記フォトセンサが対向配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記フレキシブル配線基板は前記第1のフレームまたは前記第2のフレームの側壁部に固着材で固着されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記フォトセンサの搭載領域は、検出面側が前記孔または前記切り欠き内であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の内のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記光源は前記導光板の側壁面に対向して配置され、
前記フォトセンサの搭載領域は、前記光源が配置される側壁面と異なる辺部の側壁面であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の内のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
