Claims (7)
- 端子の中央部に端子突出部を有する電池に取り付け可能な外付けPTC素子ユニットであって、
第1主面及び第2主面を有しかつ平面視で前記端子突出部と同等の寸法及び形状を有する天板と、前記天板の前記第2主面の外周部から垂直に突設された側壁部とからなり、導電性材料を用いて形成されたキャップ状支持体と、
素子裏面及び素子表面を有する板状であり、前記天板の前記第1主面上に前記素子裏面側が接合固定されたPTC素子と、
前記PTC素子を覆うべく前記素子表面上に接合固定された外部接続用端子板と
を備え、前記天板の前記第2主面側を前記端子突出部の上端面に対向配置した状態で、前記側壁部が前記端子突出部の側面に接続可能であることを特徴とする外付けPTC素子ユニット。 - 前記PTC素子は、中心部に貫通孔を有する円板状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外付けPTC素子ユニット。
- 前記外部接続用端子板の表面には、前記外部接続用端子板からその一部を張り出した状態で導電性部材が積層配置されるとともに、前記導電性部材は、前記外部接続用端子板の中心部に対して溶接固定されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の外付けPTC素子ユニット。
- 前記キャップ状支持体の前記側壁部は、切欠部を隔てて複数片に分割されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の外付けPTC素子ユニット。
- 複数片に分割された前記側壁部の内面には、円形状の前記天板の中心を通る前記キャップ状支持体の中心軸線を挟んで対向するように複数のプロジェクション溶接用突起が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の外付けPTC素子ユニット。
- 前記キャップ状支持体の前記天板の前記第1主面には凹部が形成され、その凹部に前記PTC素子が配置されかつはんだ付けされていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の外付けPTC素子ユニット。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の外付けPTC素子ユニットが取り付けられた電池。
