Claims (18)
- (a) 高濡れ性接着剤を、複数の被接着要素が装着された第一のモジュール固定具内に分注するステップであって、
前記第一のモジュール固定具は、各接着用凹部が、前記被接着要素のうちの一つ以上の第一の部分を収容する複数の接着用凹部を形成し、前記モジュール固定具は、前記接着用凹部のうちの一つ以上と連通する一つ以上の開口を含み、
前記高濡れ性接着剤は、常温での粘度が100〜1000センチポアズであり、空気中での前記接着用凹部の表面に対する表面張力が10度未満の接触角度を生じるものであり、且つ、当該接着剤は、硬化方式の適用時に、選択的に硬化可能である、分注ステップと、
(b) 前記硬化方式を、シールゾーンの内側にあるところの、前記分注された接着剤の第一の部分に選択的に適用するステップであって、
前記シールゾーンは、前記接着用凹部と連通する前記開口の近傍に位置して当該開口を囲む一つ以上の領域を含み、前記シールゾーン内の前記分注された接着剤は、前記モジュール固定具内に分注され続けている間に、相当量の前記接着剤が前記開口から出てくるのを抑えるように十分に硬化し、前記硬化方式は、前記シールゾーンの外側にあるところの前記接着剤の第二の部分には適用されない、適用ステップと、
(c) 前記硬化方式を、前記分注された接着剤の前記第二の部分に適用するステップと、を含む、接着方法。 - 前記高濡れ性接着剤は、常温で100〜500センチポアズの粘度を持ち、且つ、空気中での前記接着用凹部の表面に対する表面張力が5度未満の接触角度を生じるものである、請求項1に記載の接着方法。
- 前記一つ以上の被接着要素の前記部分を収容する前記複数の接着用凹部は、公称深さを有し、前記接着剤は、前記接着用凹部への実質的な過剰充填を伴うことなく、前記複数の接着用凹部を前記公称深さ近くまで満たす、請求項1に記載の接着方法。
- 前記モジュール固定具は、第一のモジュール固定具要素(110)と、第二のモジュール固定具要素(115)とを含み、
前記複数の被接着要素は、複数のバッテリセルを含み、
前記接着用凹部は、前記モジュール固定具要素内の座ぐり穴から形成され、この座ぐり穴内に収容されるバッテリの部分は前記バッテリセルの端部を含んでおり、
前記バッテリセルのうちの一つの端部が装着された各座ぐり穴は、前記モジュール固定具要素の外部からの前記バッテリセルの前記端部への電気的導通を可能にするところの、前記座ぐり穴と連通する接触ポート開口を画成する前記モジュール固定具要素の壁部を有する、
請求項1に記載の接着方法。 - 第一の接着シーケンスと、前記第一の接着シーケンスの後の第二の接着シーケンスとを含み、
前記分注ステップ(a)は、
a1)前記接着剤を前記第一のモジュール固定具要素内に分注するステップ、及び、
a2)前記接着剤を前記第二のモジュール固定具要素内に分注するステップ、を含み、
前記第一の部分への接着剤の適用ステップ(b)は、
b1)前記硬化方式を、前記第一のモジュール固定具要素内のシールゾーン内の前記分注された接着剤の第一の部分に選択的に適用するステップ、及び、
b2)前記硬化方式を、前記第二のモジュール固定具要素内のシールゾーン内の前記分注された接着剤の第一の部分に選択的に適用するステップ、を含み、
前記第一の接着シーケンスは、ステップa1)及びステップb1)を含み、
前記第二の接着シーケンスは、ステップa2)及びステップb2)を含む、
請求項4に記載の接着方法。 - ステップb1)における前記シールゾーンは、前記第一のモジュール固定具要素内の前記接着用凹部を含み、且つ前記第二のモジュール固定具要素内の接着用凹部を除外しており、
ステップb2)における前記シールゾーンは、前記第二のモジュール固定具要素内の前記接着用凹部を含み、且つ前記第一のモジュール固定具要素内のシールゾーンを含んでもよい、
請求項5に記載の接着方法。 - 前記分注された接着剤は、分注時に複数の濡れ特性を含み、
前記接着剤の前記第一の部分は、前記接着剤の前記第二の部分とは異なる濡れ性を有する、請求項1に記載の接着方法。 - 前記選択的に硬化可能な接着剤は、紫外線放射への曝露時に硬化可能であり、
前記硬化方式は、前記分注された接着剤の前記特定された部分への、紫外線放射の選択的適用を含む、請求項1に記載の接着方法。 - 前記選択的に硬化可能な接着剤は、紫外線、電子ビーム、過酸化物、陽イオン、アミン、水酸基、熱、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される一つ以上の硬化方式への曝露時に硬化可能であり、
前記硬化方式は、前記分注された接着剤の前記特定された部分への、選択された一つ以上の硬化方式の適用を含む、請求項1に記載の接着方法。 - 前記モジュール固定具は、前記複数の被接着要素の前記部分と当該固定具との間において、前記複数の接着用凹部内の複数の接着面に対し前記分注する接着剤を案内する接着剤案内構造を含んでおり、
前記接着剤案内構造は、斜面(225)、溝(230)、座ぐり穴、傾斜壁部およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される一つ以上の構造を含むものである、請求項1に記載の接着方法。 - 請求項1に記載の接着方法は、
(d) 紫外線透過性固定具を、前記第一の部分とは異なる前記複数の被接着要素の第二の部分に適用するステップであって、
前記紫外線透過性固定具は、前記分注された接着剤による前記複数の被接着要素の濡らし時に、前記複数の被接着要素の前記第二の部分に結合される、ステップ、
を更に含む、請求項1に記載の接着方法。 - 請求項11に記載の接着方法は、
(e) 前記モジュール固定具および前記紫外線透過性固定具を、前記硬化方式としての紫外線を曝露され分注された全ての接着剤に適用するためのUVオーブン内で硬化させるステップ
を更に含む、請求項11に記載の接着方法。 - 前記複数の被接着要素の各々の外面の一部に対面して、被接着要素間の接着を促進する前記モジュール固定具の本体内に、前記硬化方式としての紫外線を再案内するための紫外線再案内コンポーネント(245)を含む、請求項1に記載の接着方法。
- 請求項1に記載の接着方法は、
前記複数の被接着要素が装着された第二のモジュール固定具であって、各接着用凹部が、前記被接着要素のうちの前記一つ以上の第二の部分を収容する複数の接着用凹部を形成し、当該第二のモジュール固定具が、当該第二のモジュール固定具内の前記接着用凹部のうちの一つ以上と連通する一つ以上の開口を含む、第二のモジュール固定具、を更に備え、
この接着方法は、
(d) 前記ステップ(a)〜(c)の後に、前記接着剤を前記第二のモジュール固定具内に分注するステップと、
(e) 第二のシールゾーン内にあるところの前記分注された接着剤の第三の部分に前記硬化方式を適用するステップであって、
前記第二のシールゾーンが、前記接着用凹部と連通する前記開口の近傍に位置して前記第二のモジュール固定具の前記開口を取り囲む一つ以上の領域を含み、
前記第二のシールゾーン内の前記分注された接着剤は、相当量の前記接着剤が前記開口から出てくるのを妨げるように十分に硬化されると共に、前記接着剤は、ステップd)の間に、前記第二のモジュール固定具内に分注され続け、
前記硬化方式は、前記第二のシールゾーンの外側にあるところの前記接着剤の第四の部分には適用されない、ステップと、
(f)前記分注された接着剤の前記第四の部分に前記硬化方式を適用するステップと、
を更に含む、請求項1に記載の接着方法。 - 前記接着剤は、前記シールゾーン内に配置されるインジケータを含み、前記インジケータは、前記接着剤の硬化の状態を示す、請求項1に記載の接着方法。
- 前記シールゾーンが前記硬化方式に対して不透過性であるマスクによって画成された状態において、前記第一のモジュール固定具は前記硬化方式に対して透過性である、請求項1に記載の接着方法。
- (a) 硬化方式に対して透過性であるモジュール固定具に複数の被接着要素を装着するステップと、
(b) 前記硬化方式に対して不透明なマスクを用いて、前記モジュール固定具の第一の部分の選択された領域をマスキングして、前記モジュール固定具のマスクされていない第一の部分と、前記モジュール固定具のマスクされた第一の部分とを形成するステップと、
(c) その後、高濡れ性接着剤を前記装着されたモジュール固定具内に分注するステップであって、
前記モジュール固定具は、各接着用凹部が、前記複数の被接着要素のうちの一つ以上の第一の部分を収容する複数の接着用凹部を形成し、前記モジュール固定具は、前記接着用凹部のうちの一つ以上と連通する一つ以上の開口を含み、
前記高濡れ性接着剤は、常温での粘度が100〜1000センチポアズであり、空気中での前記接着用凹部の表面に対する表面張力が10度未満の接触角度を生じるものであり、且つ、当該接着剤は、前記硬化方式の適用時に選択的に硬化可能である、ステップと、
(d) 前記分注ステップ(c)の間に、前記マスクされた第一の部分にあるところの前記分注された接着剤の第二の部分に前記硬化方式を適用することなく、前記分注された接着剤の第一の部分への前記硬化方式の適用に際し、前記マスクされていない第一の部分にあるところの前記分注された接着剤の第一の部分を硬化させるステップと、
(e) その後、前記マスクを除去するステップと、
(f) 前記モジュール固定具への前記硬化方式の適用時に、前記分注された接着剤の前記第二の部分を含む、前記モジュール固定具内の未硬化の分注された接着剤を硬化させるステップと、
を含む、接着方法。 - (A) 複数の被接着要素を支持するモジュール固定具であって、各接着用凹部が前記被接着要素のうちの一つ以上の第一の部分を収容する複数の接着用凹部を画成し、前記接着用凹部のうちの一つ以上と連通する一つ以上の開口を含むモジュール固定具であり、前記接着用凹部が公称深さを有する、モジュール固定具と、
(B) 高濡れ性接着剤を前記各接着用凹部内に分注して、著しい過充填を伴うことなく前記接着用凹部を前記公称深さまでほぼ満たしつつ前記各被接着要素を囲むために、前記モジュール固定具に結合された分注システムであって、
前記高濡れ性接着剤は、常温での粘度が100〜1000センチポアズであり、空気中での前記接着用凹部の表面に対する表面張力が10度未満の接触角度を生じるものであり、且つ、当該接着剤は、硬化方式の適用時に選択的に硬化可能である、分注システムと、
(C) 前記接着剤の分注時、前記接着剤が前記開口から出てくるときに、前記接着剤を前記硬化方式に選択的にさらすための構造としてのマスクと、
を備えるシステム。
