通電により発熱する発熱体と、
前記発熱体を収容するケースと、
前記発熱体と前記ケースとの間に設けられ電気を絶縁すると共に前記発熱体を支持するマットと、
前記ケースの外側から前記発熱体に接続される電極と、
前記ケースと前記電極との隙間を塞ぐ絶縁部と、
前記ケースの内側で且つ前記発熱体の外側の前記電極の周りにおいて形成される空間であって、前記電極と前記マットとに隙間を設けることで形成される電極室と、
前記電極室内において前記電極よりも排気の流れ方向で上流側に設けられ該電極室内を流通する排気が当たる仕切部と、
を備える。

Claims (4)
- 通電により発熱する発熱体と、
前記発熱体を収容するケースと、
前記発熱体と前記ケースとの間に設けられ電気を絶縁すると共に前記発熱体を支持するマットと、
前記ケースの外側から前記発熱体に接続される電極と、
前記ケースと前記電極との隙間を塞ぐ絶縁部と、
前記ケースの内側で且つ前記発熱体の外側の前記電極の周りにおいて形成される空間であって、前記電極よりも上流側及び下流側において前記電極と前記マットとに隙間を設けることで形成される電極室と、
前記電極室内において前記電極よりも排気の流れ方向で上流側に設けられ該電極室内を流通する排気が当たり、前記電極室の一部を仕切る仕切部と、
を備える電気加熱式触媒。 - 前記仕切部は、前記電極室内において該電極室内に流入した排気が前記電極に向かって直進する経路上に設けられる請求項1に記載の電気加熱式触媒。
- 前記仕切部と前記絶縁部との距離が、電気の絶縁に必要となる空間距離未満の場合には、前記仕切部は絶縁体からなる請求項1または2に記載の電気加熱式触媒。
- 前記仕切部と前記絶縁部との距離が、電気の絶縁に必要となる空間距離以上の場合には、前記仕切部は導電体からなる請求項1または2に記載の電気加熱式触媒。
