- 複数の板状のバッテリーセルの各々が、電極アセンブリ受容部内に取り付けられたカソード/セパレータ/アノード構造の電極アセンブリを備え、前記複数の板状のバッテリーセルが、各バッテリーセルの前記電極アセンブリ受容部同士が互いに隣り合うように前記複数のバッテリーセルが横方向に配置された状態でモジュールケース内に取り付けられた構造に構成されたバッテリーモジュールにおいて、
複数の冷却部材が、前記複数のバッテリーセルの間に配置され、
前記複数の冷却部材の各々が、
隣り合う電極アセンブリ受容部の間に密接して配置された熱放出フィンと、
クーラントが中で流通する中空構造を有するように構成されていると共に前記電極アセンブリ受容部の各々の外縁に沿って前記熱放出フィンに取り付けられたクーラント導管と、

前記クーラント導管が、前記電極アセンブリ受容部の4つの縁部に対応するように配置されていることを特徴とする、バッテリーモジュール。 - 前記板状のバッテリーセルは、バッテリーケースに形成された電極アセンブリ受容部の中に電極アセンブリが取り付けられ、前記バッテリーケースが金属層及び樹脂層を含む積層シートで形成され、熱溶接によって密封されたシール部分(外縁のシール部分)が前記電極アセンブリ受容部の前記外縁に形成された構造に構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記複数の冷却部材の各々の前記クーラント導管が前記外縁のシール部分に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記複数の冷却部材の各々が(高い)熱伝導率を示す金属材料で形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記クーラント導管が前記熱放出フィンに並行して入り込んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記熱放出フィンと前記クーラント導管とが一体に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記クーラント導管の高さが、前記熱放出フィンが隣り合う電極アセンブリ受容部の間に配置された状態における、前記隣り合う電極アセンブリ受容部の外縁の高さの合計と等しいことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記クーラント導管のクーラント入口及びクーラント出口が、前記複数のバッテリーセルの各々の電極リード線が形成されていない領域に形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記クーラント入口及び前記クーラント出口が前記熱放出フィンの1つの側部に並べて形成されることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記クーラント入口と前記クーラント出口との間の間隔が前記電極アセンブリ受容部の各々の高さの1.5倍から5倍であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記クーラントが水であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記モジュールケースの1つの側部に複数の開口が設けられ、クーラント入口及びクーラント出口が前記複数の開口を貫通して外部に通じていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記冷却部材は、前記冷却部材の前記クーラント入口及び前記クーラント出口が同じ方向に向くように前記複数のバッテリーセルの間に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記バッテリーモジュールの外面にコネクタが取り付けられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 出力及び容量に基づいて請求項1から14のうちの何れか一項に記載の2つ以上のバッテリーモジュールを備えることを特徴とするバッテリーパック。
- 前記バッテリーパックが、電気自動車用、ハイブリッド電気自動車用、又はプラグインハイブリッド電気自動車用の電源として使用されることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載のバッテリーパック。
- 隣り合う板状のバッテリーセルであって、その各々が電極アセンブリ受容部内に取り付けられたカソード/セパレータ/アノード構造の電極アセンブリを備える、隣り合う板状のバッテリーセルの間に取り付けられる冷却部材であって、
隣り合う電極アセンブリ受容部の間に密接して配置された熱放出フィンと、
クーラントが中で流通する中空構造を有するように構成されていると共に前記電極アセンブリ受容部の各々の外縁に沿って前記熱放出フィンに取り付けられたクーラント導管と、
を備え、
前記クーラント導管が、前記電極アセンブリ受容部の前記外縁に密接して屈曲され、
前記熱放出フィンが板状に形成され、
前記クーラント導管が、前記電極アセンブリ受容部の4つの縁部に対応するように配置されていることを特徴とする、冷却部材。
