Claims (19)
- 複数のバッテリーセルの間に取り付けられ、前記複数のバッテリーセルの充電中及び放電中に前記複数のバッテリーセルから発生する熱を除去する冷却部材において、
プレート形状の冷却フィンと、
クーラントが流通する中空構造を有するように構成されたクーラント導管と、を備えており、
前記冷却フィンは、該冷却フィンが前記複数のバッテリーセルの各々の間に配置された状態で前記バッテリーセルの外面に密接して配置された2つのバッテリーセル接触部分が、水平方向(横方向)に連続して形成される構造を有するように構成されており、
前記クーラント導管は、前記冷却フィンに熱的に接触しており、
前記クーラント導管は、前記冷却フィンが前記複数のバッテリーセルの間に配置されたときに前記複数のバッテリーセルの各々の電極集合体受容部の外側に位置し、
前記冷却フィンが熱伝導性シートで形成され、
前記クーラント導管は、前記バッテリーセル接触部分の外縁の形状に対応させるために前記クーラント導管の少なくとも一部分が曲げられるように構成され、
前記冷却フィンには、バッテリーモジュールケース又はバッテリーセル取付フレームに結合されるように構成された1つ以上の凹状の結合部が設けられている
ことを特徴とする冷却部材。 - 前記複数のバッテリーセルはそれぞれプレート形状の二次バッテリーであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記プレート形状の二次バッテリーは、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造の電極集合体がバッテリーケースの中に取り付けられて前記バッテリーケースが樹脂層及び金属層を備える積層シートで形成された構造を有するように構成されたパウチ形状のバッテリーセルであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記冷却フィンが金属シートで形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記冷却フィンは、一対の金属シートが互いに結合される構造を有するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記クーラント導管が耐食性材料で形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記複数のバッテリーセルの各々の前記電極集合体受容部が平面視において四角形状に形成されているときに、前記クーラント導管は、平面視において前記バッテリーセル接触部分の外縁に対応する「コ字」の形に屈曲されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記複数のバッテリーセルの各々の前記電極集合体受容部が平面視において四角形状に形成されているときに、前記クーラント導管は、平面視において前記バッテリーセル接触部分の間に延在する「直角S字」の形に屈曲されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記クーラント導管は、前記電極集合体受容部の外縁に密接して配置されるように屈曲されていることを特徴とする、請求項7又は8に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記クーラント導管は、前記クーラント導管のクーラント入口及びクーラント出口が前記冷却フィンの片側に並んで形成されるか、或いは、前記冷却フィンの相対する両側に形成されるように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記クーラント導管は、炎によって前記冷却フィンに結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記冷却フィンは、一対の金属シートが互いに結合された構造を持つように構成されており、前記クーラント導管は、前記クーラント導管が前記金属シートの間に配置された状態で前記冷却フィンに結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記凹状の結合部は前記バッテリーセル接触部分の間に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 前記クーラントが水であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の冷却部材。
- 2つ以上のバッテリーセルが水平方向(横方向)に配置されていると共に、1つ以上のバッテリーセルが、前記水平方向に配置された前記バッテリーセルに対する垂直方向(厚さ方向)に配置されている構造を有するように構成されたバッテリーモジュールにおいて、
請求項1に係る冷却部材は、前記垂直方向に配置された前記バッテリーセルの間に配置されていることを特徴とするバッテリーモジュール。 - 前記水平方向に配置された複数の前記バッテリーセルはフレーム部材に取り付けられ、前記冷却部材には、前記フレーム部材に結合させるための1つ以上の凹状の結合部が設けられ、前記フレーム部材には、前記凹状の結合部に対応する1つ以上の凸状の結合部が設けられていることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- クーラント導管は、前記クーラント導管のクーラント入口及びクーラント出口が複数の前記バッテリーセルの各々の電極端子に対応する領域に形成されるように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- クーラント導管は、前記クーラント導管のクーラント入口及びクーラント出口が複数の前記バッテリーセルの各々の電極端子に相対する領域に形成されるように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記バッテリーモジュールは、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、及びプラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、又は電力貯蔵機器に用いられることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
