内部空洞を形成するインプラント本体であって、このインプラント本体は、横列方向に沿って延びる少なくとも1つの環状横列を形成するように相互に連結された複数のリンクを備え、この横列は、縦列方向に沿って延びる複数の縦列を形成するように配置され、各縦列は、縦列方向に沿って反対側にある第1末端部及び第2末端部を形成し、リンクは、少なくとも、縦列の第1列に配置された複数の第1リンクと、上記縦列の第2列に配置された複数の第2リンクとを備え、各第1リンクは縦列方向に沿って第1の長さを規定し、各第2リンクは縦列方向に沿って第2の長さを規定し、第2の長さは第1の長さよりも短く、したがって第1リンクは第2リンクとは異なる拡張特性を有し、上記複数の第2リンクの各々は、縦列方向に沿って第1末端部から第2末端部まで、上記複数の第2リンクの内の隣接する第2リンクと相互に取り付けられる上記インプラント本体と、

- 対象の骨の骨折部位にインプラントを挿入するように構成されたインプラントシステムであって、
挿入形態から拡張形態に円周方向に拡張可能なインプラント本体を有し、このインプラント本体は、内部空洞を形成し、複数の縦列に配置されたリンクの少なくとも1つの環状横列を形成するように連結された複数のリンクを備え、各縦列は、縦列方向に沿って延び、縦列方向に沿って反対側にある第1末端部及び第2末端部を形成し、各環状横列は横列方向に沿って延び、上記リンクのうち少なくとも第1リンクは、拡張力が拡張材料から上記インプラント本体に加えられるとき、第1リンクが第2リンクよりも大きく拡張するように、上記リンクのうち少なくとも第2リンクとは異なる拡張特性を有し、少なくとも1つの第1リンクは第1縦列に配置され、少なくとも1つの第2リンクは第1縦列と円周方向に向かい合う第2縦列に配置され、上記インプラント本体に上記拡張力を加えると、上記本体は第1縦列から第2縦列に向かう方向に湾曲し、
上記インプラント本体は、(1)第1縦列及び第2縦列が、それぞれ、横列方向に沿って単一リンクの厚さを有し且つ同数のリンクを含むように、又は、(2)第1縦列及び第2縦列が、それぞれ、縦列方向に沿って第1末端部から第2末端部まで相互に取り付けられた複数のリンクを含むように構成され、
さらに、対象の骨を切断するように構成された切断刃を備えた開口装置を有し、この開口装置は、近位端及び反対側の遠位端を備えたカニューレを形成し、上記カニューレは、上記遠位端が骨折部位に近接配置されたときに上記インプラント本体をこの骨折部位に誘導するようにこのインプラント本体を収容するように構成されたガイドパスを形成する、インプラントシステム。 - 更に、内部空洞内に配置される大きさの拡張型ブラッダーであって、拡張材料がこのブラッダーに対して拡張力を加え、それにより、上記第1リンクを上記第2リンクよりも大きく拡張させるように上記インプラント本体に対して拡張力を加えるように、拡張材料を収容するように構成された内腔を形成する上記ブラッダーを有する請求項17に記載のインプラントシステム。
- 更に、骨の残余部分から骨片を分離するように上記対象の骨の切骨術を行うように構成された切断装置を有する請求項18に記載のインプラントシステム。
- 上記切断装置は、複数の歯と、この歯がカバーされる第1位置及び歯が保護スリーブを貫通して延びる第2位置を前提として構成された保護スリーブと、を備える請求項19に記載のインプラントシステム。
- 上記切断装置は、上記カニューレに収容される大きさのガイドワイヤを備える請求項19に記載のインプラントシステム。
- 上記第2リンクは、縦列方向に沿って直接的に相互に取り付けられている請求項13に記載の拡張型インプラント組立体。
- 上記本体は、隣接する上記第2リンクが間接的に相互に取り付けられるように、縦列方向に沿って隣接する第2リンク間に取り付けられる複数の腕を備える、請求項13に記載の拡張型インプラント組立体。
- 上記第1リンクと上記第2リンクとは、同じ横列に配置される請求項1に記載の拡張型インプラント。
- 上記少なくとも1つの環状横列は、複数の横列の第1横列であり、上記第1リンク及び上記第2リンクは、異なる横列に配置される請求項1に記載の拡張型インプラント。
- 上記インプラント本体は、(1)第1縦列及び第2縦列が、それぞれ、横列方向に沿って単一リンクの厚さを有し且つ同数のリンクを含むように、及び、(2)第1縦列及び第2縦列が、それぞれ、縦列方向に沿って第1末端部から第2末端部まで相互に取り付けられた複数のリンクを含むように構成された、請求項17に記載のインプラントシステム。
