Description
該光硬化性成分を含む組成物および該蓄熱材を二重ノズル、三重ノズルまたは多孔質材を通過させ、該光硬化性成分を含む組成物から形成される未硬化の被覆部および内容物として蓄熱材を含むカプセル前駆体を調製する工程、および
該光硬化性成分に光を照射してカプセル前駆体を光硬化させる工程
を包含する、蓄熱シームレスカプセルの製造方法。
本明細書中において、「水性」とは、その成分や層または材料全体が水性であればよく、構成成分中に水性でないもの(例えば、油性のもの)が一部混在していてもよい。また、本明細書中において、「油性」とは、「水性」と同じく、その成分や層または材料全体が油性であればよく、構成成分中に油性でないもの(例えば、水性のもの)が一部混在していてもよい。従って、「硬化性成分が水性である」とは、硬化性成分が複数の配合剤から構成されている場合に、その配合剤の組合せ全体が水性であればよく、個々の配合剤は水性のものばかりでなく、油性のものを含んでいてもよい。
本発明で使用することのできる水性(親水性)蓄熱材としては、例えば、ペンタエリスリトール、エリスリトール、ソルビトール、マンニトールなどの糖アルコール類;ポリエチレングリコール(例えば、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、テトラエチレングリコール、ヘキサエチレングリコール、オクタエチレングリコール、ドデカエチレングリコール、テトラデカエチレングリコール、エイコサエチレングリコールなど)、ポリプロピレングリコールなどのポリエーテル類;酢酸ナトリウム、硫酸ナトリウム、塩化カルシウム、塩化マグネシウム、チオ硫酸ナトリウム、アンモニウム明礬、カリウム明礬、硫酸アルミニウム、硝酸マグネシウム、臭化ストロンチウム、水酸化ストロンチウム、水酸化バリウム、硝酸アルミニウム、硝酸鉄、硝酸ニッケル、チオ硫酸ナトリウム、硫酸亜鉛、臭化カルシウム、硝酸亜鉛、リン酸水素二ナトリウム、炭酸ナトリウム、硝酸リチウム、炭酸カルシウム、臭化鉄などの無機塩など、およびこれらの組み合せなどが挙げられるが、これらに限定されない。また、これらの水性(親水性)蓄熱材を水溶液または水性スラリーとして使用してもよい。
本発明で使用することのできる油性(疎水性)蓄熱材としては、水と非混和性の物質であって、なおかつ、融解熱量が40cal/g以上であるものであれば特に限定はなく、例えば、トリデカン(C13)、テトラデカン(C14)、ペンタデカン(C15)、ヘキサデカン(C16)、ヘプタデカン(C17)、オクタデカン(C18)等のn−パラフィン類、好ましくは流動パラフィン類;カプリル酸、ラウリン酸、ミリスチン酸、パルミチン酸、ステアリン酸等の脂肪酸類;オクチルアルコール、デシルアルコール、ラウリルアルコール、ミリスチルアルコール、セチルアルコール、ステアリルアルコール等の高級アルコール類;ミリスチン酸メチル、パルミチン酸メチル、ステアリン酸メチル等のエステル類;およびこれらの組み合せなどが挙げられるがこれらに限定されない。
本発明で使用することのできる光硬化性成分としては、光照射により重合して(光硬化性)樹脂を形成するものであれば特に限定はなく、例えば、光重合性オリゴマーおよびその付加重合物などが挙げられ、それぞれ単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を組み合せて用いてもよい。
エステル(メタ)アクリレート系オリゴマー(例えば、アルキレン鎖の炭素数が4〜10であるポリアルキレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート(例えば、ポリエチレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ポリプロピレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレートなど)、ペンタエリスリトールテトラ(メタ)アクリレート、ジペンタエリスリトールヘキサ(メタ)アクリレート、エチレンオキサイド変成グリセロールトリ(メタ)アクリレート、トリメチロールプロパントリ(メタ)アクリレートなど);
ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート系オリゴマー(例えば、(メタ)アクリレート系不飽和ポリエチレングリコールウレタン化物、(メタ)アクリレート系不飽和ポリプロピレングリコールウレタン化物など);
エポキシ(メタ)アクリレート系オリゴマー(例えば、ビスフェノールAエポキシ(メタ)アクリレート、ノボラックエポキシ(メタ)アクリレートなど);
アニオン性不飽和アクリル樹脂類(例えば、(メタ)アクリル酸および(メタ)アクリル酸エステルから選ばれる少なくとも2種の(メタ)アクリル系モノマーを共重合させて得られるカルボキシル基、リン酸基および/またはスルホン酸基を含有する共重合体に光重合可能なエチレン性不飽和基を導入した樹脂など);
カチオン性不飽和アクリル樹脂類(例えば、不飽和アミノ化合物を含有する(メタ)アクリル酸エステルの共重合体に(メタ)アクリル酸グリシジルなどを付加反応させることにより得られる不飽和アクリル樹脂など);など
(2)ポリプロピレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレートは、分子量200〜4000のポリプロピレングリコール(1モル当量)の両末端水酸基を(メタ)アクリル酸(2モル当量)でエステル化することによって合成することができる。
(3)(メタ)アクリレート系不飽和ポリエチレングリコールウレタン化物は、分子量400〜6000のポリエチレングリコール(1モル当量)の両末端水酸基をジイソシアネート化合物(2モル当量)(例えば、トリレンジイソシアネート、キシリレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネートなど)でウレタン化し、さらに、不飽和モノヒドロキシ化合物(2モル当量)(例えば、(メタ)アクリル酸2−ヒドロキシエチル、(メタ)アクリル酸2−ヒドロキシプロピル、(メタ)アクリル酸3−ヒドロキシプロピル、(メタ)アクリル酸4−ヒドロキシブチル、トリメチロールプロパンジ(メタ)アクリレート、ペンタエリスリトールトリ(メタ)アクリレートなど)を付加することによって合成することができる。
(4)(メタ)アクリレート系不飽和ポリプロピレングリコールウレタン化物は、分子量200〜4000のポリプロピレングリコール(1モル当量)の両末端水酸基をジイソシアネート化合物(2モル当量)でウレタン化し、さらに、不飽和モノヒドロキシ化合物(2モル当量)を付加することによって合成することができる。
本発明は、さらに、上述の光硬化性成分を含む組成物から形成される被覆部および内容物として蓄熱材を含む蓄熱シームレスカプセルの製造方法に関し、当該製造方法は、
該光硬化性成分を含む組成物および該蓄熱材を二重ノズル、三重ノズルまたは多孔質材を通過させ、該光硬化性成分を含む組成物から形成される未硬化の被覆部および内容物として蓄熱材を含むカプセル前駆体を調製する工程、および
該光硬化性成分に光を照射してカプセル前駆体を光硬化させる工程
を包含することを特徴とする。
図1に模式的に示す2層構造を有する本発明の蓄熱シームレスカプセル(第1の実施形態)は、例えば、図4に示す同心二重ノズル(10)を備えた従来公知のカプセル製造装置を用いて液中滴下法によって製造することができる。具体的には、図4に示す通り、第1ノズル(内側)および第2ノズル(外側)を有する同心二重ノズル(10)を備えたカプセル製造装置を用いて、内側の第1ノズルから蓄熱材(11)、外側の第2ノズルから被覆部形成組成物(12)を同時に通過させてキャリア流体(16)中に蓄熱材および被覆部形成組成物を同時に滴下する工程を包含する方法などによって、2層構造を有する蓄熱シームレスカプセルを製造することができる。
図2に模式的に示す本発明の蓄熱シームレスカプセルは、蓄熱材(3)と被覆部(5)との間に中間層(4)を含む3層構造を有することを特徴とする(第2の実施形態)。
多核構造を有する蓄熱シームレスカプセル(第3の実施形態)は、図3に示す通り、複数の蓄熱材(6)を芯物質として含み、その周囲に被覆部(7)が存在する。このような多核構造を有する蓄熱シームレスカプセルは、図5に示す通り、蓄熱材(6)および被覆部形成組成物(8)を多孔質材(9)を通過させることによって製造することができる。
ノナ(エチレングリコール)ジアクリレート60質量部、テトラデカ(エチレングリコール)ジアクリレート20質量部およびベンゾインイソブチルエーテル0.6質量部を混合して水性被覆部形成組成物を調製した。同心二重ノズルを有するカプセル製造装置(森下仁丹社製、製造機KC−1)の外側ノズルに上記の水性被覆部形成組成物を充填し、内側ノズルに油性蓄熱材として流動パラフィン(松村石油研究所製、モレスコホワイトP−350)を充填した。13℃に冷却したナタネ油中に上記の水性被覆部形成組成物および油性蓄熱材を同時に射出し、2層構造の液滴(カプセル前駆体)を形成した。
1,6−ヘキサンジオールジメタクリレート60質量部、エチレンオキサイド変性ビスフェノールAジメタクリレート(日本油脂製、ブレンマーPDPER−150)20質量部および重合開始剤(チバガイギー社、イルガキュア184)0.6質量部を混合して油性被覆部形成組成物を調製した。同心二重ノズルを有するカプセル製造装置(森下仁丹社製、製造機KC−1)の外側ノズルに上記の油性被覆部形成組成物を充填し、内側ノズルに水性蓄熱材としてテトラエチレングリコールを充填した。13℃に冷却した2%ポリビニルアルコール水溶液中に上記の油性被覆部形成組成物および水性蓄熱材を同時に射出し、2層構造の液滴(カプセル前駆体)を形成した。
テトラデカ(エチレングリコール)ジアクリレート60質量部、エポキシ系水性光硬化性成分(昭和高分子社製、リポキシSP−6000)10質量部およびアセトイン0.6質量部を混合して水性被覆部形成組成物を調製した。同心三重ノズルを有するカプセル製造装置(森下仁丹社製、製造機KC−1)の最も外側のノズルに上記水性被覆部形成組成物を充填し、最も内側のノズルに水性蓄熱材として40℃に保温した塩化カルシウム6水和物液(融点:30℃)を充填し、中間のノズルに油性中間層形成組成物として70℃に加熱したステアリン酸ステアリルを充填した。13℃に冷却したコーン油中に上記の水性被覆部形成組成物、油性中間層形成組成物および水性蓄熱材を同時に射出し、3層構造の液滴(カプセル前駆体)を形成した。
テトラデカ(エチレングリコール)ジアクリレート50質量部、ジトリメチロールプロパンテトラアクリレート20質量部、錫末(38μm)2.5質量部およびアセトイン0.8質量部の混合物を調製し、実施例1で調製した水性被覆部形成組成物に添加し、実施例1と同様に操作を行って、2層構造を有する蓄熱シームレスカプセルを得た。得られた蓄熱シームレスカプセルの粒径は7.5mmであった。
水性被覆部形成組成物としてテトラデカ(エチレングリコール)ジアクリレート60質量部、リポキシSP−6000を10質量部およびベンゾインイソブチルエーテル0.6質量部、油性蓄熱材として流動パラフィン(松村石油研究所製、モレスコホワイトP−350)50重量部、および乳化剤としてポリオキシエチレンラウリルエーテル1質量部をホモミキサ中で混合してエマルジョンを調製した。上記エマルジョンを細孔径75μmのナイロン膜を通して9℃に冷却したナタネ油中に射出し、多核構造の液滴(カプセル前駆体)を形成した。
本発明の蓄熱シームレスカプセルの潜熱量を示差走査熱量計(島津製作所製、DSC−60A)を用いて測定した(昇温速度:5℃/分、温度:−10℃〜65℃)。結果を以下の表1に示す。
本発明の蓄熱シームレスカプセルを5℃〜40℃の間で加熱および冷却を100回繰り返し、蓄熱シームレスカプセルの外観を目視観察することによって、安定性を評価した。結果を以下の表1に示す。

- 光硬化性成分を含む組成物から形成される被覆部および内容物として蓄熱材を含み、前記被覆部と前記蓄熱材との間に中間層を含む3層構造の蓄熱シームレスカプセルであって、前記光硬化性成分と蓄熱材が親水性の場合は、中間層が疎水性であり、前記光硬化性成分と蓄熱材が疎水性の場合は、中間層が親水性であることを特徴とする、3層構造の蓄熱シームレスカプセル。
- 前記被覆部が熱伝導性物質を含む、請求項1に記載の蓄熱シームレスカプセル。
- 蓄熱材の含有量が、前記カプセルの質量に対して、5〜95質量%である、請求項1または2に記載の蓄熱シームレスカプセル。
- 平均粒径が0.1〜20mmである、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の蓄熱シームレスカプセル。
- 光硬化性成分を含む組成物から形成される被覆部および内容物として蓄熱材を含み、前記被覆部と前記蓄熱材との間に中間層を含む3層構造の蓄熱シームレスカプセルの製造方法であって、
該光硬化性成分を含む組成物、中間層を形成する組成物および該蓄熱材を、三重ノズルを通過させ、該光硬化性成分を含む組成物から形成される未硬化の被覆部、中間層および内容物として蓄熱材を含むカプセル前駆体を調製する工程、および
該光硬化性成分に光を照射してカプセル前駆体を光硬化させる工程
を包含し、
前記光硬化性成分と蓄熱材が親水性の場合は、中間層が疎水性であり、前記光硬化性成分と蓄熱材が疎水性の場合は、中間層が親水性であることを特徴とする、三層構造の蓄熱シームレスカプセルの製造方法。 - 請求項5に記載の三層構造の蓄熱シームレスカプセルの製造方法によって得られる三層構造の蓄熱シームレスカプセル。
