Description
測定に用いる試料を粉砕し、アセトンにより低分子量成分を抽出した後、120℃、12時間で乾燥させる。上記試料をDMSO−d6を溶媒として、1H−NMR測定(日本電子社製「JNM−GX−500型」を使用)を行い、得られたスペクトルの内、二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物が反応した変性EVOHの二重結合のメチン位のピーク(5.9ppm)又は二重結合のメチレン位のピーク(5.2ppm)とEVOHのモノマー単位に相当するエチレン部分のピーク(1.4ppm)との面積比より算出した。
メルトインデクサL260(テクノ・セブン社製)を用い、荷重2.16kg、温度190℃で樹脂の流出速度(g/10分)を測定した。
測定装置として東洋精機社製オートグラフを用い、各実施例及び比較例で得た4mm×10mm×80mm(厚さ×幅×長さ)の試験片を用いて、23℃、50%RHにおいて、試験速度:2mm/min、支点間距離:64mmの条件で曲げ弾性率(MPa)、曲げ強さ(MPa)、および最大曲げひずみ(%)を測定した。
測定装置として東洋精機社製Izod衝撃試験機を用い、各実施例及び比較例で得た4mm×10mm×80mm(厚さ×幅×長さ)の試験片を用いて、重り:1Jの条件で、23℃および−40℃におけるIzod衝撃強度(kJ/m)を測定し、その値を耐寒性の指標とした。
測定装置として東洋精機社製オートグラフを用い、各実施例及び比較例で得た厚さ100μmのフィルムより15mm×150mm(幅×長さ)の試験片を切り出し、23℃・50%RH、100℃で72時間送風乾燥機で加熱後に23℃・50%RHで7日間調湿、125℃で72時間送風乾燥機で加熱後に23℃・50%RHで7日間調湿、のそれぞれの条件で、引張速度:250mm/min、支点間距離:50mmの測定条件にて最大引張強度(MPa)を測定した。測定結果を各実施例及び比較例における耐熱性の指標とした。
亜鉛アセチルアセトナート一水和物28質量部を1,2−ジメトキシエタン957質量部と混合し、混合液を得た。得られた前記混合液に攪拌しながらトリフルオロメタンスルホン酸15質量部を添加し、触媒溶液を得た。
合成例1で得られた変性EVOH(EVOH−1)と未変性のEVOH(エチレン含有量32モル%、MFR3.8g/10分、ケン化度99モル%以上)を質量比で30/70の割合でドライブレンドし、25mmφ二軸押出機((株)東洋精機製LABO PLASTOMIL MODEL 15C300)を用い、220℃でスクリュー回転数100rpm、押出樹脂量4.5kg/時間の条件で押出してペレット化した。次いで、80℃で12時間乾燥を行い、変性EVOH(EVOH−2)を得た(ブレンド後のアリルグリシジルエーテル変性量は計算上0.5モル%となる)。
合成例1で得られた変性EVOH(EVOH−1)と未変性のEVOH(エチレン含有量44モル%、MFR13.0g/10分、ケン化度99モル%以上)を質量比で30/70の割合でドライブレンドし、25mmφ二軸押出機((株)東洋精機製LABO PLASTOMIL MODEL 15C300)を用い、220℃でスクリュー回転数100rpm、押出樹脂量4.5kg/時間の条件で押出してペレット化した。次いで、80℃で12時間乾燥を行い、変性EVOH(EVOH−3)を得た(ブレンド後のアリルグリシジルエーテル変性量は計算上0.5モル%となる)。
(1)合成例2で得られた変性EVOH(EVOH−2)を使用し、射出成形機(東洋精機製)に導入し、シリンダー温度200/210/210/200℃、金型温度40℃で10mm×4mm×80mmの試験片を得た。得られた試験片に30kGy(加速電圧2000kV)の電子線を照射し、架橋させた。このとき、水とフェノールの質量比(水/フェノール)が15/85である混合溶媒を用いて、60℃、12時間加熱溶解試験を行った際の該試験片の不溶解分の含量、即ち、ゲル分率は35.2%であった。該試験片にノギスでノッチ(ISO2818に基づく)を入れ、曲げ弾性率、曲げ強さ、及び最大曲げひずみを測定し23℃、50%RHにおける耐屈曲性を評価した。測定の結果、曲げ弾性率は3270MPa、曲げ強さは95MPaであり、従来のEVOHより耐屈曲性が向上していることを確認した。
押出機1[HDPE]:株式会社プラスチック工学研究所製単軸押出機「GT−32−A型」、スクリュー径:32mmφ、スクリュー回転数:85rpm、シリンダー設定温度210℃
押出機2[変性EVOH]:株式会社東洋精機製作所製単軸押出機「ラボME型CO−NXT」、スクリュー径:20mmφ、スクリュー回転数:75rpm、シリンダー設定温度:210℃
押出機3[Ad]:大阪精機工作株式会社製単軸押出機「P25−18AC」、スクリュー径:25mmφ、スクリュー構成:フルフライト、L/D:18、スクリュー回転数:0.2rpm、シリンダー設定温度:210℃、ダイスサイズ:外形15mm、冷却温度:105℃
(1)合成例3で得られたEVOH−3を使用した以外は実施例1(1)と同様にして架橋させた試験片を得た。このとき、ゲル分率は33.1%であった。23℃、50%RHにおける耐屈曲性を測定した結果、曲げ弾性率は3080MPa、曲げ強さは91MPaであり、従来のEVOHより耐屈曲性が向上していることを確認した。
(1)EVOHとしてエチレン含有量32モル%、ケン化度99モル%以上、MFR1.6g/10分の「エバール」FP101B(商品名、株式会社クラレ製)を用い、電子線を照射しなかったこと以外は実施例1(1)と同様にして10mm×4mm×80mmの試験片を得た。23℃、50%RHにおける耐屈曲性を測定した結果、曲げ弾性率は4080MPa、曲げ強さは120MPaであった。

(1)EVOHとしてエチレン含有量44モル%、ケン化度99モル%以上、MFR5.5g/10分の「エバール」EP105B(商品名、株式会社クラレ製)を用い、電子線を照射しなかったこと以外は実施例1(1)と同様にして10mm×4mm×80mmの試験片を得た。23℃、50%RHにおける耐屈曲性を測定した結果、曲げ弾性率は3190MPa、曲げ強さは100MPaであった。
Claims (12)
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)からなる温水循環用パイプであって、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)は、未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(A)を、二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)で変性して得られたものであり、二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)による変性量がエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(A)のモノマー単位に対して0.1〜10モル%であり、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)の少なくとも一部が架橋されていて、かつ、そのゲル分率が10質量%以上であることを特徴とする温水循環用パイプ。
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)及び未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(D)を含有する樹脂組成物からなる温水循環用パイプであって、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)は、未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(A)を、二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)で変性して得られたものであり、二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)による変性量がエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(A)のモノマー単位に対して0.1〜10モル%であり、該樹脂組成物の少なくとも一部が架橋されていて、かつ、そのゲル分率が10質量%以上であることを特徴とする温水循環用パイプ。
- 未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(A)のエチレン含有量が5〜55モル%であり、かつ、ケン化度が90モル%以上である請求項1又は2に記載の温水循環用パイプ。
- 二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)が分子量500以下の一価エポキシ化合物である請求項1〜3のいずれか記載の温水循環用パイプ。
- 二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)がアリルグリシジルエーテルである請求項4記載の温水循環用パイプ。
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)からなる層と、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)以外の樹脂(F)からなる層を有する多層構造体である請求項1に記載の温水循環用パイプ。
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)からなる層を最外層に配置した多層構造体である請求項6に記載の温水循環用パイプ。
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)及び未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(D)を含有する樹脂組成物からなる層と、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)以外の樹脂(F)からなる層を有する多層構造体である請求項2に記載の温水循環用パイプ。
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)及び未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(D)を含有する樹脂組成物からなる層を最外層に配置した多層構造体である請求項8に記載の温水循環用パイプ。
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)からなる温水循環用パイプの製造方法であって、未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(A)を二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)で変性して変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)を製造し、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)を成形してパイプを得てから、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)の少なくとも一部を架橋させて、かつ、そのゲル分率を10質量%以上にすることを特徴とする温水循環用パイプの製造方法。
- 変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)及び未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(D)を含有する樹脂組成物からなる温水循環用パイプの製造方法であって、未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(A)を、二重結合を有するエポキシ化合物(B)で変性して変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)を製造し、変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)と未変性のエチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(D)とを混合して樹脂組成物を製造し、該樹脂組成物を成形してパイプを得てから、該樹脂組成物の少なくとも一部を架橋させて、かつ、そのゲル分率を10質量%以上にすることを特徴とする温水循環用パイプの製造方法。
- 電子線、X線、γ線、紫外線及び可視光線からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を照射するか、加熱することにより変性エチレン−ビニルアルコール系共重合体(C)の少なくとも一部を架橋させた請求項10又は11に記載の温水循環用パイプの製造方法。
