Description
前記ハウジングが鉄製であり、前記プラグを鉄より比重及び硬度の小さい金属で構成されており、前記ハウジングはガス発生室及びフィルタ室の直列2室構造を有し、前記かしめ溝は、プラグの周上に延びる矩形断面を有する線条溝であって、該かしめ溝を構成する側壁のうち、少なくともハウジング中央側の側壁は、ハウジングの軸線に対し直交又は、ハウジングの径方向内側に傾斜してなることを特徴とするガス発生器である。かかる構成を採用することにより、内圧負荷時にプラグが引き抜けにくくなり、ガス発生器の圧力容器としての強度を向上させることが可能となる。また、プラグが引き抜けにくくなったことから、プラグのコンパクト化及びそれに伴う軽量化を図ることが可能となる。

Claims (4)
- 少なくとも一端が開口した筒状のハウジングの開口にプラグを挿入し、該プラグのかしめ溝に前記開口側の端部を八方かしめにより縮径してかしめることにより、前記開口を封止したガス発生器であって、
前記ハウジングが鉄製であり、前記プラグを鉄より比重及び硬度の小さい金属で構成されており、前記ハウジングはガス発生室及びフィルタ室の直列2室構造を有し、前記かしめ溝は、プラグの周上に延びる矩形断面を有する線条溝であって、該かしめ溝を構成する側壁のうち、少なくともハウジング中央側の側壁は、ハウジングの軸線に対し直交又は、ハウジングの径方向内側に傾斜してなることを特徴とするガス発生器。 - 前記プラグは、アルミニウム製、アルミニウム合金製、チタン合金製又はマグネシウム合金製である、請求項1に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記かしめ溝の深さは、該プラグの径の0.02〜0.35倍の範囲にある、請求項1又は2に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記かしめ溝の溝幅は、該プラグの径の0.02〜0.20倍の範囲にある、請求項1
〜3のいずれか一項に記載のガス発生器。
