図1は、本発明の実施の形態1におけるシリンダ型ガス発生器の外観構造を示す図であり、図1(A)は正面図、図1(B)は右側面図である。図2は、図1に示すシリンダ型ガス発生器の内部構造を示す図であり、図2(A)は、図1(A)および図1(B)に示すIIA−IIA線に沿った模式断面図、図2(B)は、図1(A)に示すIIB−IIB線に沿った模式断面図である。また、図3は、図2(A)に示した領域IIIの拡大断面図である。まず、これら図1ないし図3を参照して、本実施の形態におけるシリンダ型ガス発生器1Aの外観構造および内部構造について説明する。
図8は、本発明の実施の形態2におけるシリンダ型ガス発生器の要部拡大断面図である。以下、この図8を参照して、本実施の形態におけるシリンダ型ガス発生器1Dについて説明する。
図9は、本発明の実施の形態3におけるシリンダ型ガス発生器の要部拡大断面図である。以下、この図9を参照して、本実施の形態におけるシリンダ型ガス発生器1Eについて説明する。
Claims (7)
- ガス発生剤が燃焼することによってガスが発生する燃焼室を内部に含み、発生したガスを外部に向けて噴出するためのガス噴出口が設けられた長尺円柱状の外形を有するハウジングと、
前記ガス発生剤を燃焼させるための点火器とを備え、
前記ハウジングは、当該ハウジングの軸方向に沿って延びる筒状部と、当該ハウジングの軸方向の一端および他端を閉塞する一対の閉塞部とを有し、
前記筒状部は、相対的に厚みの厚い非脆弱部と、相対的に厚みの薄い脆弱部とを含み、
前記脆弱部は、前記燃焼室を規定する部分の前記筒状部に前記ハウジングの周方向に沿って線状に延びる溝部が設けられることにより、当該溝部が設けられた部分の前記筒状部によって構成され、
前記脆弱部が、前記点火器が作動することで前記ガス発生剤が燃焼する通常動作状態における前記燃焼室の圧力によっても当該脆弱部を起点として前記筒状部に破断が生じることがない厚みに設定されているとともに、前記ガス発生剤が自然発火温度に達した場合に前記点火器が作動することなく前記ガス発生剤が燃焼する異常動作状態における前記燃焼室の圧力によって当該脆弱部を起点として前記筒状部に破断が生じる厚みに設定されている、ガス発生器。 - 前記溝部が、前記筒状部の外周面に設けられている、請求項1に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記ハウジングの軸方向の所定の長さにわたって、前記脆弱部が、その厚みが一定の大きさとなるように形成された部分を含んでいる、請求項1または2に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記ハウジングの周方向と直交する断面における前記溝部の形状が、台形状または四角形状である、請求項3に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記ハウジングの周方向と直交する断面における前記溝部の形状が、三角形状である、請求項1または2に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記溝部が、前記筒状部を周回するように設けられている、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のガス発生器。
- 前記溝部が、前記ハウジングの周方向に沿って相互に離間して複数設けられている、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のガス発生器。
