Claims (11)
- 第1の平らな端面(11)と、
対向する第2の平らな端面(10)であって、前記第1の平らな端面(11)に平行な当該第2の平らな端面(10)と、
前記第1及び第2の平らな端面(11、10)を横切る孔(12)と、
前記第1の平らな端面(11)に垂直な第1の平らな側面(17)と、
前記第2の平らな端面(10)に垂直な対向する第2の平らな側面(18)と、
を備え、
前記第1及び第2の平らな側面(17、18)の各々は、切削エッジで終端し、各切削エッジは、第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)、第2の凸の切削エッジ部(14)、及び凹の切削エッジ部(15)であって、前記第1及び第2の凸の切削エッジ部(13、14)の間に全体的に伸びる当該凹の切削エッジ部(15)を含み、
前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)は、鈍角の中心角を有し、
前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)は、移行部(22)を含み、前記移行部(22)と前記第1の平らな端面(11)との境界における当該移行部(22)に対する接線(20)と前記第1の平らな端面(11)とは、前記第1の平らな端面(11)を基準として正の角度を画定し、
前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)は、前記第1の平らな端面(11)に合流し、
前記中心角は、前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)の前記移行部(22)を除いた部分の前記第1の平らな端面(11)に垂直な断面における円弧の一端と他端とを通る2つの半径により定まり、
前記接線(20)は、前記移行部(22)における前記接線(20)が前記第1の平らな端面(11)合流する場所から伸びかつ前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)が前記第1の平らな端面(11)に合流する場所で前記第1の平らな端面(11)を基準として正の角度を形成する
ことを特徴とする切削インサート。 - 前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)は、第1の半径(R3)で形成され、前記第2の凸の切削エッジ部(14)は、第2の半径(R1)で形成され、及び前記凹の切削エッジ部(15)は、第3の半径(R2)で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1及び第2の半径(R3、R1)は、互いに等しく、前記第3の半径(R2)は、前記第1及び第2の半径(R3、R1)とは異なることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1、第2、及び第3の半径は互いに異なることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記正の角度は、4°であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)、前記第2の凸の切削エッジ部(14)、及び前記凹の切削エッジ部(15)は、前記切削インサートの中央の長手方向の軸に関してすくい角cに形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記すくい角cは、10°以下であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)、前記第2の凸の切削エッジ部(14)、及び前記凹の切削エッジ部(15)に沿って伸びる傾斜面(16)を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記傾斜面(16)は、前記第1及び第2の平らな端面(11、10)の何れか一方を基準として、前記第1及び第2の平らな端面(11、10)の何れか一方との間に−15°の傾斜角aで傾斜していることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1の凸の切削エッジ部(13)及び前記第2の凸の切削エッジ部(14)に接する接線(19)は、前記第1及び第2の平らな端面(11、10)に関して角度を形成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記接線(19)の前記第1及び第2の平らな端面(11、10)の何れか一方に関する角度は35°であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の切削インサート。
