Description
Claims (11)
- 励起光の入射によって白色蛍光を呈する透明蛍光体において、
A(AはAl、Ga、Ge、W、P、V、Zn、Si、B、Mg、Ca、Ba、Sr及びScのいずれか一以上の元素)、Ln(LnはY、Gd、La、Sm、Dy、Ho、Er、Yb及びLuのいずれか一以上の元素)、O及び付活剤としてのR(RはEu、Tb、Ce、Sm、Tm、Pr、Nd、Dy、Ho、Er、Yb、Mn、Ti、Fe、Cr及びPbのいずれか一以上の元素であって、Lnとして選択される元素以外の元素)を主成分とする非晶質相を主相とする、少なくともRの種類又はRの平均価数を異にする二種類以上の蛍光相から形成され、
前記非晶質相を主相とする二種類以上の蛍光体粒子が混合され、該二種類以上の蛍光体粒子のうち30体積%以上が過冷却液体領域にある温度にて、前記蛍光体粒子の混合物が加圧されることにより得られることを特徴とする透明蛍光体。 - 前記非晶質相を主相とし、過冷却液体領域が互いに重なり合う蛍光体粒子が混合され、前記過冷却液体領域が重なる温度にて、加圧されることにより得られることを特徴とする請求項1記載の透明蛍光体。
- 前記蛍光体粒子は、その構成成分からなる溶融粒子を冷却凝固して前記非晶質相を形成させたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の透明蛍光体。
- 前記蛍光体粒子が球状蛍光体粒子であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3いずれか記載の透明蛍光体。
- 前記非晶質相には、結晶質相が含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4いずれか記載の透明蛍光体。
- 前記結晶質相の長径は、200nm以下であることを特徴とする請求項5記載の透明蛍光体。
- AがAl、Si及びPのいずれか一以上の元素であり、LnがY、Gd、La、Dy及びLuのいずれか一以上の元素であり、RがEu、Tb、Ce、Sm、Tm及びPrのいずれか一以上の元素である請求項1乃至6いずれか記載の透明蛍光体。
- 前記非晶質相を主相とする二種類以上の蛍光体粒子を混合する工程と、
前記二種以上の蛍光体粒子の構成成分うち、30体積%以上が過冷却液体領域にある温度にて、前記蛍光体粒子の混合物を上記蛍光体粒子の混合物を加圧する工程と、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の透明蛍光体の製造方法。 - 前記非晶質相を主相とし、過冷却液体領域が互いに重なり合う蛍光体粒子を混合する工程と、
前記過冷却液体領域が重なる温度にて、前記蛍光体粒子の混合物を上記蛍光体粒子の混合物を加圧する工程と、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項2記載の透明蛍光体の製造方法。 - 前記蛍光体粒子の構成成分からなる溶融粒子を冷却凝固して前記非晶質相を形成させることによって前記蛍光体粒子を得る工程をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項8又は9記載の透明蛍光体の製造方法。
- 前記蛍光体粒子が球状蛍光体粒子であることを特徴とする請求項8乃至10いずれか記載の透明蛍光体の製造方法。
