Description
本発明は、注入療法に適した医療装置に関するものであって、より具体的には、引込み可能な針、又は標準的なルアーコネクタに取り付けられる針、又は他の前方取付具(例えば、ハブ、バルブ、又は無針システム(needleless system)での使用に適した他のコネクタ)と共に選択的に使用されることができるシリンジに関する。
本発明の装置は、単一のシリンジ本体において、引込み可能な針及び無針コネクタの両方の機能を使用者にもたらすことができるので、既知の装置よりも幅広く適用されることができる。本願の装置は、好ましくは、バレルと、該バレル内に摺動可能に配置されたプランジャーアッセンブリと、前記バレルの前面近くに配置された針引込みアッセンブリ及び選択的に配置される保護ガードと、前記プランジャーアッセンブリ内に配置された引込み室(retraction cavity)と、引込み前に該引込み室の前端をシールする閉鎖部(closure)と、を具える。針アッセンブリが、製造過程にて又は所望の使用場所で取り付けられると、装置を用いて例えば、バイアルから薬剤を取り出したり、注射剤を投与したり、穿孔可能なポート(pierceable ports)を有するIV(静脈内)送達式システムに薬剤を注入したりすることができる。針アッセンブリ無しで用いる場合、閉じられたIV送達式システムに薬剤を導入するために、装置はバルブ(例えば、CLAVE(登録商標)コネクタ)やルアーハブなどの前方取付具(frontal attachment)に取り付けることもできる。バルブと共に用いられる場合、バルブをシリンジとの係合から解除する前に、引込み機構を作動させることにより、バルブが閉じられることが好ましい。装置はまた、前方に延びて、人や表面との偶然接触による汚染から、シリンジを通る流体経路を保護するのに有用な保護ガード構造を含むことが望ましい。保護ガード構造は、針アッセンブリ又は他の前方取付具が、シリンジへ取り付けられるのに適切な位置へと移動し易くなるように、外向きに広げられることが望ましい。
図1を参照すると、開示される本発明の好ましい装置(20)は、針アッセンブリ(24)である前方取付具と組み合わせられたシリンジ(22)を具えている。図1を図2の分解図と併せて参照すると、装置(20)のシリンジ(22)は好ましくは、プランジャーアッセンブリを具え、該プランジャーアッセンブリは、プランジャーハンドル(28)と、後部プラグ(26)と、前部プラグ(30)と、プランジャーシール(32)とを更に含んでいる。プランジャーハンドル(28)の内部は、前部プラグ(30)と後部プラグ(26)との間に、引込み室が設けられ、シリンジ(22)のバレル(40)の一部分は、引込み室の一部として機能することもできる。ベント(vent)(23)は、望ましくはプランジャーハンドルの後部近傍に配置される。
Claims (2)
- 医療用に用いられ、前方取付具に直接取り付けることが可能なシリンジであって、
後部に開口を有するバレルと、
バレルの後部開口から挿入された後、バレルの前部に配置される引込みアッセンブリと、
バレルの前部近傍に配置された保護ガード構造と、
引込みアッセンブリの後方にて、バレルの内壁に当接して摺動可能なプランジャーアッセンブリと、を具えており、
前方取付具は、引込み可能な針コネクタ、引込みできない針を有するルアーハブ及びバルブアッセンブリからなる群から選択され、
引込みアッセンブリは、針ホルダー、保持部材及び圧縮された引込みスプリングを具え、
保護ガード構造は、間隔をあけて形成された複数の要素を含み、該要素の自由端部は、バレル又は引込みアッセンブリのどの部分よりも前方に延びている、シリンジ。 - 保護ガード構造は、間隔をあけて形成された複数の要素の自由端部が外向きに傾斜している、請求項1のシリンジ。
