Claims (1)
- 走査配線と、走査配線に平行して設けた共通配線と、走査配線と交差するように設けたデータ配線と、データ配線と走査配線との交差部にアクティブ素子とを設けた第1基板と、この第1基板と対向して設けた第2基板と、前記第1及び第2基板の間に挟持された液晶と、この液晶に電界を印加するために前記第1基板上に設けた透明櫛歯電極とを有するアクティブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置において、透明櫛歯電極上の液晶ギャップを透明櫛歯電極間の液晶ギャップよりも1.0〜1.5μmの範囲で大きくし、透明櫛歯電極上の液晶ギャップを透明櫛歯電極間の液晶ギャップよりも大きくするための有機膜である段差を前記第1基板上に設け、前記段差には45度よりも大きい角度のテーパ角を形成したことを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置。
