図1は、本発明の一実施形態による液晶表示装置における一画素に対する等価回路図であり、図2は、本発明の一実施形態による液晶表示装置における画素電極の配置図であり、図3は、図2に示した画素電極を含む液晶表示装置のIII−III線に沿った概略的な断面図である。

Claims (8)
- 互いに対向する第1基板及び第2基板と、
前記第1基板及び前記第2基板のうちの少なくとも一つの上に形成され、光反応物質ではない主配向物質と第1垂直発現基及び光反応基を含む垂直光配向物質とを含む配向膜と、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間に介在する液晶層と、
を含み、
前記垂直光配向物質と前記主配向物質とはミクロ相分離状態にあり、前記光反応基はミクロ相分離状態で前記配向膜に照射された光と反応し、
前記配向膜の表面に向かうほど主配向物質のモル濃度に対する垂直光配向物質のモル濃度の比率が大きくなり、
前記第1垂直発現基は、前記配向膜の表面から前記配向膜の厚さの20%の深さまで位置することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記垂直光配向物質と前記主配向物質との重量比率は、約5:95〜約50:50であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記垂直光配向物質と前記主配向物質との重量比率は、約10:90〜約40:60であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記主配向物質は、第2垂直発現基を5モル%濃度以下含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶のプレチルト角度は、約80°〜約90°であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記垂直光配向物質は、イミド基を約75モル%濃度以上含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記主配向物質は、イミド基を約50〜約80モル%濃度含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記垂直光配向物質は、第1側鎖及び第2側鎖を有するジアミン系化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
