Description
Claims (2)
- 光入力端表面を有する光入力端、遠位端及びそれらの間の長さを有する細長い光ガイドであって、該細長い光ガイドは該長さに沿って光を伝播するための光学的に滑らかな表面及び該光ガイドの長さの少なくとも一部に沿って延在する発光領域を有し、該発光領域は該細長い光ガイドに延在する複数の光抽出構造を備えて該細長い光ガイドから放射状に光を抽出し又は反射させ、前記光入力端は1次コード化方向付け形状を備える、細長い光ガイドと、
該細長い光ガイドの該光入力端に連結された光源コネクタであって、該光源コネクタは2次コード化方向付け形状を有する第1の端及び光源を受容するように構成された反対側の第2の端を備え、該2次コード化方向付け形状は前記1次コード化方向付け形状と結合する、光源コネクタと、を備え、
前記光源コネクタの第1の端が、前記細長い光ガイドの光入力端の外周未満の外周を有する、光ガイドアセンブリ。 - 光ガイドアセンブリを形成する方法であって、
光入力端表面を有する光入力端、遠位端及びそれらの間の光ガイドの長さを有する細長い光ガイドを準備する工程であって、該細長い光ガイドは該ガイドの長さに沿って光を伝播するための光学的に滑らかな表面及び該ガイドの長さの少なくとも一部に沿って延在する発光領域を有し、該発光領域は該細長い光ガイドに延在する複数の光抽出構造を備えて該細長い光ガイドから放射状に光を抽出し又は反射させる、工程と、
1次コード化方向付け形状を前記細長い光ガイドの前記光入力端上に形成する工程と、
2次コード化方向付け形状を有する第1の端及び光源を受容するように構成された反対側の第2の端を備える光源コネクタを準備する工程であって、該2次コード化方向付け形状は、前記1次コード化方向付け形状と結合し、前記光源コネクタの第1の端が、前記細長い光ガイドの光入力端の外周未満の外周を有する、工程と、
前記光源コネクタの2次コード化方向付け形状を前記細長い光ガイドの1次コード化方向付け形状に連結して、光ガイドアセンブリを形成する工程と、を含む、方法。
