Description
包装容器の器壁とストロー袋との間は、ストロー袋が薄いフィルムから形成され、包装容器の器壁は平らではなく、若干膨らんだり、凹んだりしている。
この発明は、上記の課題及び不都合を解消することができる装置を提供することを目的とする。
ストロー袋が、透明又は半透明性かつ熱融着性フィルムからなり、
接着ステーションにおいて、包装容器の側壁にストロー袋と共にストローを当て、ストロー袋の接着箇所にレーザー光線を照射しながら、ストロー袋が包装容器の側壁に密着するようにストロー袋の接着箇所に風圧を付与する。
ストロー袋が、透明又は半透明性かつ熱融着性フィルムからなり、
接着ステーションが、包装容器の側壁にストロー袋と共にストローを当て、ストロー袋の接着箇所にレーザー光線を照射する照射手段と、照射時に、ストロー袋が包装容器の側壁に密着するようにストロー袋の接着箇所に風圧を付与する風圧付与手段と、を備える。
得られた包装容器は、容器器壁にストロー袋とその袋に収納されたストローが接着されている。消費者は、包装容器の壁からストロー袋を引き剥がし、ストロー穴などにストロー6を差し込み唇を当て、液体食品を飲用することができる。
ストロー袋の熱可塑性材料が、包装容器の側壁と溶接・接着するとき、レーザー、特に、半導体レーザーを用いる。例えば、半導体レーザーを用いる場合、使用されるレーザーの波長は808nmから980nmが一般的である。この波長では、アクリル、ポリカーボネ−ト、スチレン、ポリオレフィンなど熱可塑性材料(ストロー袋の)には吸収されずほぼ90%が透過する。
この発明による接着方法では、ストロー袋が、レーザー光線、特に、半導体レーザー光に対して、透明又は半透明性かつ熱融着性フィルムからなる。
このとき、発生する熱量は、照射されたレーザーのエネルギーと、その照射時間、レーザーを吸収する効率によって決まる。側壁の側の発生した熱が、ストロー袋のフィルム側を加熱溶融して、溶着・接着する。
ストロー袋の接着箇所が包装容器の側壁に密着していることが重要である。紙包装容器にストローをつける場合、ストロー袋のフィルムを透過させてレザーを照射し、容器包材表面の外面の最外層に熱接着性樹脂(ポリエチレン、変性ポリエチレン、ポリオレフィンなど)を、所定接着部分に光吸収の良い顔料を含んだインクで印刷し、発熱溶融させて互いを溶着する、あるいは、ストロー袋のフィルム自体の光吸収効率を上げて発熱溶融し、容器外面熱接着性樹脂と溶着する。これらの場合、レーザーを照射して加熱溶融し、互いが溶着し、冷却固化する間、ストロー袋のフィルムを容器壁に密着させておくことが重要である。
特に、ストローの貼着・接着は、紙包装容器に内容物を充填シール後に行い、このとき、ストロー袋のフィルムを圧接するためのカウンタープレッシャーを容器から得ることが難しい。
この発明では、レーザー光線を照射しながら、ストロー袋が包装容器の側壁に密着するように風圧を付与する。
ストローラダーを紙容器壁に熱溶着するとき、一般には、ストローの両脇の2点を上下に、4点を溶着する。容器器壁は平らではなく、若干膨らんだり、凹んだりしていても、4点を機械的な手段で均等に容器壁に圧接することができる。
この装置では、ストローを容器上に搬送・移送しながら、非接触でストロー袋フィルムを容器パネルに密着させる。そのために、レーザー光線を照射する先端からエアーを噴出するため、ストロー袋フィルムから蒸散したガス、塵、煙、ススがストロー袋フィルムに付着・混入することが無く、レーザー光線を照射する先端を汚すこともない。
包装容器の器壁とストロー袋との間が密着して接着されるので、有効に的確に接着することができる。
図1は、この発明によるストロー接着装置の照射手段及び風圧付与手段との実施例を概略的に示す側断面図である。
図2は、この発明によるストロー接着装置に使用されるストローアプリケータの概略正面図である。
図3は、この発明に使用できる包装容器及びストロー(ストロー袋入り)の一例を示す斜視図である。
包装容器1は、包材を所定の形状に折り曲げることによって形成される。包材は、紙基材、紙基材の外面を被覆する最外層熱接着性樹脂(材料)、及び紙基材の内面を被覆する最内層から成り、必要に応じて紙基板と最内層との間に、アルミニウム箔等から成るバリヤ層が形成される。また、最外層及び最内層には、ポリエチレンなどの熱接着性樹脂が使用される。ストロー袋には棒状体としてのストローが収容される。
コンベヤ20は、包装容器1を矢印A方向に一定の速度で搬送する搬送手段である。コンベヤ20は、コンベヤ用駆動手段で駆動することによって走行する。コンベヤ20の走行方向における所定の位置(接着ステーション)Bにおいて、ストローアプリケータ21が設けられている。
ドラム26は、シャフトによって支持され、ドラムの外周縁には、円周方向における複数箇所に、ストローを保持するための溝が等ピッチで形成される。
図1に、この例によるストロー接着装置の照射手段26及び風圧付与手段27との実施例を概略的に示す。
照射手段26は、940nmの半導体レーザーのレーザー発生器(図示せず)と、カップリングした光ファイバー(ファイバーのコア径:0.6mm)26aと、照射ヘッド26bと、照射ヘッドカバー26cからなる。
照射ヘッドカバー26cの鏡筒先端から圧縮エアーを噴出し、ストロー袋5のフィルムを容器壁に押し付けた瞬間、レーザーを照射して、加熱する。実施例では、5φの、エアーノズルから0.8KPaのエアーを噴出し、30wのレーザーを10msec照射して、良好な溶着スポットを得る。
照射ヘッドからストロー袋5のフィルムの距離は、約10mmとし、略4φの溶着スポット径を得た。
この例では、先端からエアーを噴出するため、ストロー袋フィルムから蒸散したガス、塵、煙、ススがストロー袋フィルムに付着・混入することが無く、レーザー光線を照射する先端を汚すこともない。

- 包材の最外層に熱接着性樹脂が使用された包装容器を搬送する搬送手段と、ストロー袋に包装されたストローを準備するストロー供給手段と、該ストローを該包装容器の側壁に該ストロー袋を介して接着する該包装容器の搬送方向における接着ステーションとを含むストロー接着装置であって、
該ストロー袋が、透明又は半透明性かつ熱融着性フィルムからなり、
該接着ステーションが、該包装容器の側壁に該ストロー袋と共に該ストローを当て、該ストロー袋の接着箇所にレーザー光線を照射する照射手段と、該照射時に、該ストロー袋が該包装容器の側壁に密着するように該ストロー袋の接着箇所に風圧を付与する風圧付与手段と、を備え、
該照射手段が、短筒状照射口と、該筒状照射口の内に該接着箇所を臨むように配設されたレーザー光線の出射端と、該筒状照射口の内に該接着箇所を臨むように配設された該風圧付与手段からの吐出口と、を有する、
ことを特徴とするストロー接着装置。
