Description
本特許出願は、2005年5月31日に提出された“ランク予測を用いるMIMO単一符号語設計のための方法及び装置”と題する米国特許仮出願番号第60/686,111号、及び2005年10月28日に提出された“HARQを利用するMIMO単一符号語設計のためのランクの段階的低下”と題する米国特許仮出願番号第60/731,146号に優先権を主張するもので、両者は共に本出願の譲受人に譲渡され、そして、本明細書中に参照としてここに明確に組み込まれる。
(例えば、周波数分割技術、時分割技術、及び符号分割技術を採用する)一般的な無線通信ネットワークは、ある交信範囲を供給する1又は複数の基地局及び該交信範囲内でデータを送信できそして受信できる1又は複数の移動(例えば無線)端末を含む。一般的な基地局は、同報通信サービス、マルチキャスト・サービス、及び/又はユニキャスト・サービスのために複数のデータ・ストリームを同時に送信することが出来る。ユニキャストでは、データ・ストリームは、移動端末にとって独立した受信権のものであることが出来るデータの流れである。該基地局の交信範囲内の移動端末は、合成された流れによって運ばれる1つのデータ・ストリーム、1を超える或いは全てのデータ・ストリーム、を受信することに関係させられることがあり得る。同様に、移動端末は、データを基地局又は別の移動端末へ送信できる。基地局と移動端末との間の或いは複数の移動端末間のこのような通信は、伝送路変動及び/又は干渉強度変動のために劣化されることがあり得る。

1回目の伝送: ランク=3、ビット=4、符号化率=1/2
2回目の伝送: ランク=3、ビット=4、符号化率=1/4
3回目の伝送: ランク=3、ビット=4、符号化率=1/6。
1回目の伝送: ランク=3、ビット=4、符号化率=1/2
2回目の伝送: ランク=2、ビット=4、符号化率=3/8
3回目の伝送: ランク=1、ビット=4、符号化率=1/4
ランクの段階的低下シーケンスは、伝送信号のパケット・フォーマットの関数であることが出来る(例えば、端末はどの伝送でどのランクが使用されるべきかを自動的に知る)、この場合明示的信号は必要ない、ことが注目される。それに代わって、基地局は、伝送信号を復号するときに使用されるべきランクについて端末に報知するために、それぞれの伝送に対してランク指示信号を提供することが出来る。
Claims (2)
- 無線通信環境において利用者デバイスに対するランクの段階的低下を実行することを促進する装置であって、
利用者デバイスからの信号を受信する受信機、
該受信信号を復調する復調器、
該利用者デバイスに関するCQI、ランク、伝送スケジュール、パケット・フォーマット、及びリソース割り当て、の内少なくとも1つを評価するために復調された情報を解析するプロセッサ、
該利用者デバイスへの伝送のために該プロセッサによって生成された信号に更新情報を添付する順方向リンク割り当てメッセージ(FLAM)生成器、及び
該利用者デバイスに該FLAMを送信する送信機
を具備し、
前記ランクは、スペクトル効率、変調、符号化率、および伝送回数に基づいて決定され、
前記FLAMは、複数のパケット・フォーマットに関連する情報を具備し、前記複数のパケット・フォーマットのそれぞれは、該それぞれと関係づけられる固有のランクを有し、該利用者デバイスが自身のランクを決定することを可能にする装置。 - 該FLAM生成器は、該利用者デバイスへの伝送のために補足FLAMを生成する、ここにおいて、補足FLAMはランクの段階的低下に関連する情報を具備する、請求項1の装置。
