最初に図1及び2を参照すると、軸部端部14と末端18とを備えているロッド12の形態の歯科器具のブランク材は、軸部端部14において把持固定装置(図示せず)に固定されている。当該把持固定装置は、当該技術において公知のタイプであり且つロッド12を当該ロッドの長手軸線52を中心に同時に回転させながら直線移動経路22に沿って細かい粒径の研削ホイール38を通り過ぎ且つ当該研削ホイールと接触した状態で動かすことができる。直線移動経路22と回転28との組み合わせによって、ロッド12が研削ホイール38を通過するときに、ロッド12の作動長さ18に沿った螺旋状の移動経路24が提供される。

Claims (7)
- 捻れ及び繰り返し疲労による破壊に対して高い耐性を有する長手方向に研削されたヤスリを製造する方法であり、
第一の回転軸線と溝形成外周面とを有する研削ホイールを準備するステップと、
前記研削ホイールを、前記第一の回転軸線を中心として回転させるステップと、
長手軸線を有する回転歯科用器具のブランク材を、前記回転する研削ホイールの第一の回転軸線と前記回転歯科用器具のブランク材の長手軸線とが互いに直角で且つ該直角を維持させつつ、前記長手軸線を中心に回転させながら前記回転研削ホイールを通過するように軸線方向に送って、前記回転する歯科用器具のブランク材に螺旋状の溝を研削するステップとを含む、ことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であり、
前記回転歯科用器具ブランク材にテーパーが付けられている方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であり、
前記回転歯科用器具ブランク材が筒状である方法。 - 請求項3に記載の方法であり、
前記研削ホイールがテーパー形成外周面を更に含んでいる方法。 - 請求項4に記載の方法であり、
前記螺旋状の溝が研削されるときに、前記回転歯科用器具のブランク材内に所定のテーパーを研削によって形成することを含んでいる方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であり、
前記送りステップにおいて、単一の回転において前記回転歯科用器具のブランク材が移動する距離に相当するリードで前記回転歯科用器具のブランク材が送られる方法。 - 請求項1項に記載の方法であり、
前記螺旋状の溝の研削深さを維持するために、前記回転歯科用器具のブランク材の送りに従って、前記研削ホイールの回転軸線を前記回転歯科用器具のブランク材に対して選択可能に位置決めするステップを更に含んでいる方法。
