Claims (11)
- パワー・センターに接続され、予め決められた電圧及び電流のみを供給し且つ識別子を有するパワー・チップに接続された時にポータブル電子デバイスからブロードキャストされた前記ポータブル電子デバイスの型及びモデル、電圧要件、アンペア数要件並びに前記パワー・チップの識別子を含むブロードキャスト情報を前記パワー・センター内の制御モジュールが受け取るステップと、
前記ブロードキャスト情報に応答して、前記制御モジュールが、複数のポータブル電子デバイスの電力要件を格納する内部又は外部データベースにアクセスして、前記ポータブル電子デバイスに関する接続場所である前記パワー・チップの前記電圧及び前記電流が前記ポータブル電子デバイスの前記電圧要件及び前記アンペア数要件に合致するかを調べる検証を行うステップと、
前記検証ステップにおいて前記合致した後に、前記内部又は外部データベースからアクセスされた前記電力要件に基いて、前記制御モジュールが、前記パワー・センターから前記接続された前記ポータブル電子デバイスへの電力の供給を制御するステップとを含む、前記ポータブル電子デバイスに電力を供給する方法。 - 複数個のパワー・チップが前記パワー・センターに接続され、それぞれのパワー・チップはチップ・サイズ及び形状は同一であるが、それぞれ独自の電力仕様を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記接続場所が、前記ポータブル電子デバイスに接続されたパワー・チップの固有識別子およびRFソースのうちの1つによって提供される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記パワー・チップの代わりに、異なる物理的な電力接続特徴を有する複数のポータブル電子デバイス用に構成されたユニバーサル・アダプタが使用される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- パワー・センターに接続され、予め決められた電圧及び電流のみを供給し且つ識別子を有するパワー・チップと、
前記パワー・センターに設けられた制御モジュールとを備え、
前記制御モジュールが、
前記パワー・チップに接続された時にポータブル電子デバイスからブロードキャストされた前記ポータブル電子デバイスの型及びモデル、電圧要件、アンペア数要件並びに前記パワー・チップの識別子を含むブロードキャスト情報を受け取り、
前記ブロードキャスト情報に応答して、複数のポータブル電子デバイスの電力要件を格納する内部又は外部データベースにアクセスして、前記ポータブル電子デバイスに関する接続場所である前記パワー・チップの前記電圧及び前記電流が前記ポータブル電子デバイスの前記電圧要件及び前記アンペア数要件に合致するかを調べる検証を行い、
前記検証において前記合致した後に、前記内部又は外部データベースからアクセスされた前記電力要件に基いて、前記パワー・センターから前記接続された前記ポータブル電子デバイスへの電力の供給を制御する、前記ポータブル電子デバイスに電力を供給するシステム。 - 各接続場所に関連付けられ、前記接続されたポータブル電子デバイスの場所を識別するように構成された、RFソースをさらに備える、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記パワー・チップが、引き込み式ワイヤである電源コードに接続されている、請求項5または6に記載のシステム。
- 前記パワー・センタに関連付けられ、ユーザがデバイス情報を入力できるように構成された、複数の対話型メカニズムをさらに備える、請求項5、6、または7に記載のシステム。
- 前記内部または外部データベースがサービス・プロバイダによって提供される、請求項5〜8のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
