Description
使用するセルロースエーテルは、Houben−Weyl,Methoden der Organischen Chemie,Makromolekulare Stoffe,4th edition,Volume E 20,p.2042,Thieme Verlag,Stuttgart(1987)に記載されたようにして製造した。
記載したセルロースエーテルの流動学的特性決定を、残留塩含量及び残留水分含量を考慮に入れて、固体としてのそれぞれのセルロースエーテルに基づいて実施した。
乾燥成分を最初に乾燥した状態で予備混合し、次いで水と混ぜて、再び混合した。引き続いて、それらを混練し、一軸スクリュー押出機中にぎっしり詰め、ダイオリフィスに通して押出した。
いずれの場合もtan δ<1及び毛細管崩壊時間>3秒を有する本発明に係るセルロースエーテル6、5及び4を用いた例A〜Cは、容易に押出できた。押出機によって消費された電力、押出圧力及び塊の加熱は許容範囲であった。セルロースエーテル3及び2を用いたD及びEが示すように、本発明の範囲外のtan δ及び毛細管崩壊時間を有するセルロースエーテルの使用は、非冷却押出機中での塊の加熱が10℃の臨界数値を超えるので、技術的に充分に機能するプロセスに至らない。更に、消費電流は2Aの臨界値に近づきすぎる。同時に、300cpsiのダイを通る押出中に圧力は60barを超える。
以下に、本発明の態様を列挙する。
態様1.溶液100重量部当たり水溶性セルロースエーテル1.0重量部のアルカリ溶液が、100rad/s又はそれ以下の角振動数における線形粘弾性領域における角振動数ωの関数としての、流動学的振動実験において溶媒100重量部当たり水98重量部及び水酸化ナトリウム2重量部を含む溶媒を用いた場合の20℃±1℃の温度における、溶液の貯蔵弾性率G’に対する損失弾性率G”の比(tan δ=G”/G’)が1.3未満の値を有する、弾性を示すことを特徴とする水溶性セルロースエーテルを含む、焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊又は他の塊。
態様2.溶液100重量部当たりセルロースエーテル1.5重量部の溶液が、20℃±1℃における伸長フロー実験において溶媒100重量部当たり水98重量部及び水酸化ナトリウム2重量部を含む溶媒を用いた場合に、2.0秒又はそれ以上の毛細管崩壊時間を有することを特徴とする、態様1に記載の焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊又は他の塊。
態様3.アルミナ、窒化アルミニウム及び炭化アルミニウム、カオリン、コーディエライト、ムライト、炭化珪素、ホウ化珪素、窒化珪素、二酸化チタン、炭化チタン、炭化ホウ素、酸化ホウ素、シリケート及びシート状シリケート、例えばクレイ、ベントナイト、タルク、珪素金属、カーボンブラック、グラファイト、粉末ガラス、希土類酸化物及びゼオライトからなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の化合物を含むことを特徴とする、態様1又は2に記載の焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊又は他の塊。
態様4.繊維を含むことを特徴とする、態様1〜3のいずれかに記載の焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊又は他の塊。
態様5.焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊又は他の塊を、溶液100重量部当たり水溶性セルロースエーテル1.0重量部のアルカリ溶液が、100rad/s又はそれ以下の角振動数における線形粘弾性領域における角振動数ωの関数としての、流動学的振動実験において溶媒100重量部当たり水98重量部及び水酸化ナトリウム2重量部を含む溶媒を用いた場合の20℃±1℃の温度における、溶液の貯蔵弾性率G’に対する損失弾性率G”の比(tan δ=G”/G’)が1.3未満の値を有する、弾性を示す少なくとも1種の水溶性セルロースエーテルと混合し、引き続いてそれを押出することを含んでなる、焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊又は他の塊の押出方法。
態様6.溶液100重量部当たり前記セルロースエーテル1.5重量部の溶液が、溶媒100重量部当たり水98重量部及び水酸化ナトリウム2重量部を含む溶媒を用いる場合に、20℃±1℃の温度での伸長フロー実験において2.5秒超の毛細管崩壊時間を有することを特徴とする態様5に記載の方法。
態様7.前記押出物の熱処理を実際の押出後に実施することを特徴とする態様5又は6に記載の方法。
態様8.態様5〜7のいずれかに記載の方法によって得ることができる押出物。
態様9.排ガス精製用のハニカム体として又は触媒としての、態様8に記載の押出物の使用。
Claims (6)
- 溶液100重量部当たり水溶性セルロースエーテル1.0重量部のアルカリ溶液が、100rad/s又はそれ以下の角振動数における線形粘弾性領域における角振動数ωの関数としての、流動学的振動実験において溶媒100重量部当たり水98重量部及び水酸化ナトリウム2重量部を含む溶媒を用いた場合の20℃±1℃の温度における、溶液の貯蔵弾性率G’に対する損失弾性率G”の比(tan δ=G”/G’)が1.3未満の値を有する、弾性を示すことを特徴とする水溶性セルロースエーテルを含み、そしてアルミナ、窒化アルミニウム及び炭化アルミニウム、コーディエライト、ムライト、炭化珪素、ホウ化珪素、窒化珪素、二酸化チタン、炭化チタン、炭化ホウ素、酸化ホウ素、タルク、珪素金属、カーボンブラック、グラファイト、希土類酸化物並びにゼオライトからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の化合物を含む、焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊。
- 前記水溶性セルロースエーテルがメチルヒドロキシエチルセルロースである請求項1に記載のセラミック塊。
- 焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊を、溶液100重量部当たり水溶性セルロースエーテル1.0重量部のアルカリ溶液が、100rad/s又はそれ以下の角振動数における線形粘弾性領域における角振動数ωの関数としての、流動学的振動実験において溶媒100重量部当たり水98重量部及び水酸化ナトリウム2重量部を含む溶媒を用いた場合の20℃±1℃の温度における、溶液の貯蔵弾性率G’に対する損失弾性率G”の比(tan δ=G”/G’)が1.3未満の値を有する、弾性を示す少なくとも1種の水溶性セルロースエーテル並びにアルミナ、窒化アルミニウム及び炭化アルミニウム、コーディエライト、ムライト、炭化珪素、ホウ化珪素、窒化珪素、二酸化チタン、炭化チタン、炭化ホウ素、酸化ホウ素、タルク、珪素金属、カーボンブラック、グラファイト、希土類酸化物並びにゼオライトからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の化合物と混合し、引き続いてそれを押出することを含んでなる、焼成若しくは焼結の結果として固化する、セラミック塊の押出方法。
- 前記少なくとも1種の水溶性セルロースエーテルが少なくとも1種のメチルヒドロキシエチルセルロースである請求項3に記載の方法。
- 請求項3又は4に記載の方法によって得ることができる押出物。
- 排ガス精製用のハニカム体として又は触媒としての、請求項5に記載の押出物の使用。
