Description

第1の主表面の少なくとも一部分に隣接してマウント材料の上に内部方向に配置されるが、マウント材料の全体にわたって広がらない熱的に活性化可能な接着剤の層と、を含み、

無機繊維と主表面を含み、該複数の主表面が第1の主表面を含むマウント材料を提供することと、
液体溶媒に溶解された熱的に活性化可能な接着剤を含む乾燥可能な溶液を、第1の主表面に隣接する無機繊維に適用することと、
乾燥可能な溶液を実質的に乾燥して、第1の主表面に隣接して内部方向に配置されるが、マウント材料の全体にわたって広がらない熱的に活性化可能な接着剤を含む層を提供することを含み、

(Mm+)d((ZpOq(OH)r)n−)e・(H2O)f
広くは、上記の化学式で表わされる化合物は、ホウ酸及びリン酸以外は、塩(例えば、水溶性塩又は非水溶性塩)である。乾燥重量基準で、上記少なくとも1つの化合物は、熱的に活性化可能な接着剤の大部分を占める。例えば、乾燥重量基準で、上記少なくとも1つの化合物は、50、55、60、65、70、75、80、85、90重量%を超える、又は更には95重量%を超える熱的に活性化可能な接着剤を含む。
評価材料から2つのストリップ(18cm(7インチ)×9cm(3.5インチ))を得る。一方のストリップを、外側に向いた処理表面(又は処理表面がない場合は処理されていない表面)を有する直径6.4cm(2.5インチ)の鋼製マンドレルの周囲に巻き、もう一方を、内側に向いた同じ表面を有する同じ鋼製マンドレルの周囲に巻く。ストリップの大部分にわたる亀裂がなく又は割れて大きな剛体セグメントにならずに、両方のストリップをマンドレルの周囲に個別に巻くことができれば、試料は合格であると考えられる。表面の少量の亀裂は許容範囲内である。
表2(下記)に記載の原料を118ml(4オンス)の密閉ガラス瓶に加え、固形物が溶解するまで密閉瓶を80℃のオーブンの中に置いて、溶液1〜19を調製した。表2において、「g」はグラムを指す。
スチール・ルール型を使用して、マウント材料を2つの4.45cm×4.45cm(1.75インチ×1.75インチ)の正方形試料に切断した。表3に示される溶液を、使い捨てポリエチレン点眼器を使用して、2つの試料のそれぞれの上部主表面に適用した。コーティング重量は1グラム又は3グラムのいずれかであり、これはそれぞれ1平方センチメートル当たり0.051グラム又は0.152グラム(1平方インチ当たり0.327グラム又は0.98グラム)と一致する。個々の液滴からなるコーティングを上部主表面上に均等に置き、反対面に浸透しなかった。コーティングの適用後、80℃で少なくとも30分にわたり、乾燥するまで試料を加熱した。試料の乾燥後、以下のように試料を試験した。
試験する材料を、スチール・ルール型を使用して寸法18cm(7インチ)×18cm(7インチ)に切断して試料を作製した。溶液1〜14の1つを、使い捨てポリエチレン点眼器を使用して、所望量の溶液が適用されるまで試料の一方の全主表面の上に滴状にかつ均一に適用した。試験溶液は試料の反対側の主表面まで浸透しなかった。コーティング重量を記録した。試験溶液の適用後、コーティングされた試料を80℃のオーブンで最低30分間乾燥した。試料が乾燥したら室温まで冷却し、可撓性試験で評価した。結果を表4(下記)に記す。
Claims (4)
- 無機繊維を含み、第1及び第2の相対する主表面を有するマウント材料と、
前記第1の主表面の少なくとも一部分に隣接して前記マウント材料の上に内部方向に配置されるが、前記マウント材料の全体にわたって広がらない、熱的に活性化可能な接着剤の乾燥層と、を含み、
次の化学式

前記ハウジングに隣接して、又は前記ハウジング内に配置された請求項1に記載の固定可能なマウント材料と、を含む汚染防止装置。 - 請求項1に記載の固定可能なマウント材料を、汚染防止要素がその中に配置されたハウジングに隣接して、又はハウジング内に配置することを含む、汚染防止装置の製造方法。
- 無機繊維と複数の主表面を含み、該複数の主表面が第1の主表面を含む、マウント材料を提供することと、
液体溶媒に溶解した熱的に活性化可能な接着剤を含む乾燥可能な溶液を、前記第1の主表面に隣接する前記無機繊維に適用することと、
前記乾燥可能な溶液を実質的に乾燥して、前記第1の主表面に隣接して内部方向に配置されるが、前記マウント材料の全体にわたって広がらない前記熱的に活性化可能な接着剤を含む乾燥層を提供することを含み、
