Claims (8)
- 電気−機械エネルギ変換素子の変形によって、複数のノズルからインクを吐出させるインクジェットヘッドを駆動する駆動装置であって、
前記電気−機械エネルギ変換素子に印加する駆動信号を生成する信号生成部と、
乱数発生器で発生した乱数を用いることにより、基準波形に対して、前記各ノズルにおける前記駆動信号の波形の遅延時間を設定する設定部と、を有し、
前記設定部は、前記基準波形の立ち下がりタイミングを規定する第1起点および、前記基準波形の立ち上がりタイミングを規定する第2起点に関して、前記遅延時間を設定することを特徴とする駆動装置。 - 前記設定部は、各ノズルにおいて、ドット毎に前記遅延時間を設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の駆動装置。
- 前記各ノズルは、複数のインク滴を吐出して、1つの画素を形成しており、
前記設定部は、1つの画素毎に前記遅延時間を設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の駆動装置。 - 前記電気−機械エネルギ変換素子は、圧電素子であることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1つに記載の駆動装置。
- 電気−機械エネルギ変換素子の変形によって、複数のノズルからインクを吐出させるインクジェットヘッドを駆動する駆動方法であって、
前記電気−機械エネルギ変換素子に印加する駆動信号を生成し、
乱数発生器で発生した乱数を用いることにより、基準波形に対して、前記各ノズルにおける前記駆動信号の波形の遅延時間を設定し、
前記基準波形の立ち下がりタイミングを規定する第1起点および、前記基準波形の立ち上がりタイミングを規定する第2起点に関して、前記遅延時間を設定する、
ことを特徴とする駆動方法。 - 各ノズルにおいて、ドット毎に前記遅延時間を設定することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の駆動方法。
- 前記各ノズルは、複数のインク滴を吐出して、1つの画素を形成しており、
1つの画素毎に前記遅延時間を設定することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の駆動方法。 - 前記電気−機械エネルギ変換素子は、圧電素子であることを特徴とする請求項5から7のいずれか1つに記載の駆動方法。
