Description
13gsm(グラム/平方メートル)の坪量を有するナイロン6,6から作製されたナノ繊維層を、水浴中4.6wt%固形分(入手時の状態)におけるテロメリック(telomeric)フッ化炭素ポリマー部分(Zonyl(登録商標)7040、Du Pont(Wilmington,DE))で処理した。Zonyl(登録商標)(E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Companyから市販されている)を浸漬および圧搾法を用いて塗布した。この際、構成の両面を完全に浴に沈める。撥水処理液体の吸湿率(wet pick−up)は、ナノ繊維層の重量を基準にして104wt%であった。得られたナノ繊維層のコーティングは、3010ppmのフッ素含量を有していた。次に、ナノ繊維層を、3分間の滞留時間で140℃の温度における電熱炉に入れた。
メラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂(Bercen,Inc.(Cranston,Rhode Island)から入手可能なBerset(登録商標)2003)を浴に添加したこと以外は、上記と同じようにナノ繊維層を製造し、Zonyl(登録商標)7040で処理した。Zonyl(登録商標)7040対メラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂の比率は約3:1であった。
次に、本発明の態様を示す。
1. 着用者を水から保護しながら水蒸気を透過する機能を有する、複合布帛を含む耐水性で通気性の衣類であって、前記複合布帛は:
布帛層と;
約50nm〜約1000nmの数平均直径を有するポリマーナノ繊維の少なくとも1つの多孔質層を含む多孔質のコーティングされたナノ繊維層であって、約1g/m 2 〜約100g/m 2 の坪量を有するコーティングされたナノ繊維層とを含み;
ここで、前記ナノ繊維の表面へのコーティングは、フッ化炭素ポリマー部分および樹脂バインダーまたは増量剤を含み;
ここで、前記コーティングされたナノ繊維層は、約0.5m 3 /分/m 2 〜約8m 3 /分/m 2 のフレージャ透気率、約500g/m 2 /日を超えるMVTRおよび少なくとも約50cmwcの静水圧頭を有する衣類。
2. 前記樹脂バインダーまたは増量剤が、ブロックトイソシアネート、メラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂、フェノールホルムアルデヒド樹脂、尿素ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、パラフィンろうおよびメラミン樹脂のエマルジョン、アクリルモノマーおよびアクリルポリマー、シリコーン樹脂、パラフィンろうおよびジルコニウム系の塩のエマルジョンならびにパラフィンろうおよびアルミニウム系の塩のエマルジョンからなる群から選択される上記1に記載の衣類。
3. 前記コーティングされたナノ繊維層の表面に対する水滴の接触角が145°を超える上記1に記載の衣類。
4. 前記コーティングされたナノ繊維層の表面に対する水滴の接触角が147°を超える上記1に記載の衣類。
5. 前記コーティングされたナノ繊維層および前記布帛層が、その表面の一部にわたって互いに結合される上記1に記載の衣類。
6. 前記層を結合するのに溶剤型の接着剤が用いられる上記5に記載の衣類。
7. 前記ナノ繊維層が、前記布帛層の表面上に直接溶剤紡糸され、前記層を結合するのに前記電界紡糸プロセスからの残りの溶剤が用いられる上記6に記載の衣類。
8. 前記ナノ繊維層が、ポリアセタール、ポリアミド、ポリエステル、セルロースエーテル、セルロースエステル、ポリアルキレンスルフィド、ポリアリーレンオキシド、ポリスルホン、変性されたポリスルホンポリマーおよびそれらの組合せからなる群から選択されるポリマーのナノ繊維を含む上記1に記載の衣類。
9. 前記ナノ繊維層が、ポリ(塩化ビニル)、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリスチレン、およびそれらのコポリマー、ポリ(フッ化ビニリデン)、ポリ(塩化ビニリデン)、架橋形態および非架橋形態のポリビニルアルコールからなる群から選択されるポリマーのナノ繊維を含む上記1に記載の衣類。
10. 前記ポリマーが、ナイロン−6、ナイロン−6,6、およびナイロン6,6−6,10からなる群から選択される上記8に記載の衣類。
11. 前記布帛層が、ナイロン、綿、ウール、絹、ポリエステル、ポリアクリル、ポリオレフィン、および組合せからなる群から選択される材料でできた織物である上記1に記載の衣類。
12. 前記布帛層が、約8gpd未満の靭性を有する繊維でできた織物である上記1に記載の衣類。
13. 前記布帛層が、アラミド繊維、オキサゾール繊維、ポリオレフィン繊維、炭素繊維、チタン繊維および鋼繊維からなる群から選択される高い靭性の繊維でできた織物である上記1に記載の衣類。
14. 前記コーティングが、前記ナノ繊維層の細孔内のナノ繊維の交差部分に凹状のメニスカスを形成する上記1に記載の衣類。
15. 50水柱センチメートルを超える耐静水圧性、少なくとも500g/m 2 /日のMVTRおよび約0.5m 3 /分/m 2 〜約8m 3 /分/m 2 の透気率を有する布帛を含む撥水性の衣類を製造するための方法であって、
a.約50nm〜約1000nmの数平均直径、約1g/m 2 〜約100g/m 2 の坪量を有するポリマーナノ繊維の層を提供する工程と;
b.前記ナノ繊維層をフッ化炭素ポリマー部分および樹脂バインダーまたは増量剤を含有する液体と接触させることによって、前記ナノ繊維層に撥水処理を行う工程と;
c.前記処理されたナノ繊維層を布帛層と結合する工程と
を含む方法。
16. 前記フッ化炭素ポリマー部分対前記樹脂バインダーまたは増量剤の比率が約2:1〜約4:1である上記15に記載の方法。
17. 前記撥水処理が、浸漬/圧搾、噴霧塗布、グラビアロール塗布、スポンジ塗布およびキスロール塗布から選択される手段によって行われる上記15に記載の方法。
18. 前記ナノ繊維層に前記撥水処理を行う前に、前記ナノ繊維層を圧延する工程をさらに含む上記15に記載の方法。
19. 前記ナノ繊維層に前記撥水処理を行った後でかつ前記ナノ繊維層を前記布帛層と結合させる前に、前記ナノ繊維層を圧延する工程をさらに含む上記18に記載の方法。
20. 前記ナノ繊維層に前記撥水処理を行った後、前記ナノ繊維層および前記布帛層を共に圧延する工程をさらに含む上記18に記載の方法。
21. 前記樹脂バインダーまたは増量剤が、ブロックトイソシアネート、メラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂、フェノールホルムアルデヒド樹脂、尿素ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、パラフィンろうおよびメラミン樹脂のエマルジョン、アクリルモノマーおよびアクリルポリマー、シリコーン樹脂、パラフィンろうおよびジルコニウム系の塩のエマルジョンならびにパラフィンろうおよびアルミニウム系の塩のエマルジョンからなる群から選択される上記15に記載の方法。
Claims (2)
- 着用者を水から保護しながら水蒸気を透過する機能を有する、複合布帛を含む耐水性で通気性の衣類であって、前記複合布帛は:
布帛層と;
50nm〜1000nmの数平均直径を有するポリマーナノ繊維の少なくとも1つの多孔質層を含む多孔質のコーティングされたナノ繊維層であって、1g/m2〜100g/m2の坪量を有するコーティングされたナノ繊維層とを含み;
ここで、前記ナノ繊維の表面へのコーティングは、フッ化炭素ポリマー、およびメラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂である樹脂バインダーを含み;
ここで、前記コーティングされたナノ繊維層は、0.5m3/分/m2〜8m3/分/m2のフレージャ透気率、500g/m2/日を超えるMVTRおよび少なくとも50cmwcの静水圧頭を有する衣類。 - 50水柱センチメートルを超える耐静水圧性、少なくとも500g/m2/日のMVTRおよび0.5m3/分/m2〜8m3/分/m2の透気率を有する布帛を含む撥水性の衣類を製造するための方法であって、
a.50nm〜1000nmの数平均直径、1g/m2〜100g/m2の坪量を有するポリマーナノ繊維の層を提供する工程と;
b.前記ナノ繊維層をフッ化炭素ポリマーおよびメラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂である樹脂バインダーを含有する液体と接触させることによって、前記ナノ繊維層に撥水処理を行う工程と;
c.前記処理されたナノ繊維層を布帛層と結合する工程と
を含む方法。
