Claims (5)
- ネットワークにおける論理チャネルを構成するための論理チャネル構成装置であって、前記ネットワークのヘッドエンド(14)と複数のノード(12)とは光リンクで互いに接続され、それぞれ前記ノード(12)はさらに、互いに異なるリンクを介して複数のネットワーク要素(8)に接続され、前記ヘッドエンド(14)にはケーブルモデム終端システム(10)が設けられ、
前記論理チャネル構成装置は、
選択したネットワーク要素(8)に付随するネットワークパラメータの決定を、選択した前記ネットワーク要素(8)との通信に基づき行なうように構成されたマイクロプロセッサ(102)と;
前記ネットワークパラメータを示す信号を前記ネットワーク要素(8)から受信するように構成された受信機(2)と;
前記ネットワークパラメータをオペレータに提供するように前記ケーブルモデム終端システム(10)に配置されたオペレータインターフェース(108)と
を含み、
前記マイクロプロセッサ(102)は、前記ネットワークパラメータを閾値と比較することに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素(8)を論理チャネルに割当て、前記ネットワーク要素(8)に命令を出すことによって、前記論理チャネルに基づき前記ネットワーク要素(8)を再編成し、
前記オペレータインターフェース(108)は、
オペレータが前記ネットワーク要素(8)をソートすることができるように、前記ネットワーク要素(8)のリストを表示するネットワーク要素リストパネル(1002)と;
前記ネットワーク要素(8)のサブセットの要求を、最適化する変調プロファイルをオペレータが見て形成し、編集するために、後に個々の前記論理チャネルに割当てられるプロファイル構成テンプレートをオペレータに提供する変調プロファイル表示パネル(1004)と;
特定のケーブルモデム終端システム(10)のスロットあるいはポートに対して個々の前記論理チャネルをオペレータが定義することと、前記変調プロファイルをオペレータが選択することとを提供する論理チャネル定義表示パネル(1006)と
を有するように構成され、
前記ネットワークパラメータには、上流または下流の変調誤差比(MER)、上流または下流の信号対雑音比(SNR)、上流または下流の微細反射、上流の送信レベル、下流の受信パワーレベル、ケーブルモデム種類、機能、ケーブル設備内でのネットワーク要素場所、ネットワーク要素製造業者、またはネットワーク要素によって提供されるサービスの種類のうちの1つが含まれる、論理チャネル構成装置。 - ネットワークにおける論理チャネルを構成するための論理チャネル構成方法であって、前記ネットワークのヘッドエンド(14)と複数のノード(12)とは光リンクで互いに接続され、それぞれ前記ノード(12)はさらに、互いに異なるリンクを介して複数のネットワーク要素(8)に接続され、前記ヘッドエンド(14)にはケーブルモデム終端システム(10)が設けられ、

前記ネットワークパラメータを閾値と比較することに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素を論理チャネルに割当てる割当手順と;
オペレータから命令を受信し、前記ネットワーク要素に命令を出すことによって、前記論理チャネルに基づき前記ネットワーク要素を再編成する再編成手順と
を含み、
前記オペレータインターフェースは、
オペレータが前記ネットワーク要素をソートすることができるように、前記ネットワーク要素のリストを表示するネットワーク要素リストパネル(1002)と;
前記ネットワーク要素のサブセットの要求を、最適化する変調プロファイルをオペレータが見て形成し、編集するために、後に個々の前記論理チャネルに割当てられるプロファイル構成テンプレートをオペレータに提供する変調プロファイル表示パネル(1004)と;

前記ネットワークパラメータを閾値と比較することに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素を論理チャネルに割当てる割当手順と;
オペレータから命令を受信し、前記ネットワーク要素に命令を出することによって、前記論理チャネルに基づき前記ネットワーク要素を再編成する再編成手順と
をコンピュータに実行させるためのプログラムを記録したコンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体であり、
前記オペレータインターフェースは、
オペレータが前記ネットワーク要素をソートすることができるように、前記ネットワーク要素のリストを表示するネットワーク要素リストパネル(1002)と;
