Claims (17)
- 네트워크에 논리 채널들을 구성하는 장치로서,선택된 네트워크 구성 요소와 관련된 네트워크 파라미터들을, 상기 선택된 네트워크 구성 요소와의 통신에 기초하여 결정하도록 구성되는 마이크로프로세서; 및상기 네트워크 파라미터들을 나타내는 신호들을, 네트워크 구성 요소로부터 수신하도록 구성되는 수신기를 포함하며,상기 마이크로프로세서는 상기 네트워크 파라미터들에 기초하여 상기 네트워크 구성 요소를 논리 채널에 지정(assign)하도록 구성되는 논리 채널 구성 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 파라미터들은, 업스트림 또는 다운스트림 MER(Modulation Error Ratio), 업스트림 또는 다운스트림 SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio), 업스트림 또는 다운스트림 마이크로반사율(microreflections), 업스트림 송신 레벨, 다운스트림 수신 전력 레벨, 케이블 모뎀 종류, 기능적 능력들, 케이블 플랜트 내의 네트워크 구성 요소의 위치, 네트워크 구성 요소 제조사, 또는 상기 네트워크 구성 요소에 의해 제공되는 서비스의 종류 중 하나를 포함하는 논리 채널 구성 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 마이크로프로세서는, 상기 네트워크 파라미터들을 문턱치들과 비교하 고, 상기 비교에 기초하여 상기 네트워크 구성 요소들을 논리 채널에 지정하는 논리 채널 구성 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 마이크로프로세서는, 상기 논리 채널들에 따라서 상기 네트워크 구성 요소들을 재정렬하라는 인스트럭션(instruction)들을 상기 네트워크 구성 요소들에 제공하는 논리 채널 구성 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 파라미터들을 오퍼레이터에 제공하도록 배치되는 오퍼레이터 인터페이스를 더 포함하는 논리 채널 구성 장치.
- 네트워크에 논리 채널들을 구성하는 방법으로서,선택된 네트워크 구성 요소와 연관된 네트워크 파라미터들을, 상기 선택된 네트워크 구성 요소와의 통신에 기초하여 결정하는 단계;상기 네트워크 파라미터들을 분석하는 단계; 및상기 네트워크 파라미터들에 기초하여 네트워크 구성 요소들을 논리 채널들에 지정하는 단계를 포함하는 논리 채널 구성 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 파라미터들은, 업스트림 또는 다운스트림 MER, 업스트림 또는 다운스트림 SNR, 업스트림 또는 다운스트림 마이크로반사율, 업스트림 송신 레벨, 다운스트림 수신 전력 레벨, 케이블 모뎀 종류, 기능적 능력들, 케이블 플랜트 내의 네트워크 구성 요소의 위치, 네트워크 구성 요소 제조사, 또는 상기 네트워크 구성 요소에 의해 제공되는 서비스의 종류 중 하나를 포함하는 논리 채널 구성 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 구성 요소들을 논리 채널들에 지정하는 단계는, 상기 네트워크 파라미터들을 문턱치들과 비교하는 단계, 및 상기 비교에 기초하여 상기 네트워크 구성 요소들을 논리 채널에 지정하는 단계를 포함하는 논리 채널 구성 방법.

- 제9항에 있어서,상기 재정렬하라는 인스트럭션들을 상기 네트워크 구성 요소들에 제공하는 단계는, 상기 네트워크 구성 요소들을 재정렬하라는 인스트럭션을 오퍼레이터로부터 수신하는 단계를 포함하는 논리 채널 구성 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 구성 요소들을 논리 채널들에 지정하는 단계는, 각각 논리 채널에 지정되거나 또는 논리 채널로부터 지정해제되도록 선택되는 네트워크 구성 요소들을 오퍼레이터가 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 논리 채널 구성 방법.
- 컴퓨터가 네트워크에서 논리 채널들을 구성하는 방법을 수행하게 하는 인스트럭션들이 저장되어 있는 컴퓨터 판독가능 매체로서, 상기 방법은,선택된 네트워크 구성 요소와 연관된 네트워크 파라미터들을, 상기 선택된 네트워크 구성 요소와의 통신에 기초하여 결정하는 단계;상기 네트워크 파라미터들을 분석하는 단계; 및상기 네트워크 파라미터들에 기초하여 네트워크 구성 요소들을 논리 채널들에 지정하는 단계를 포함하는 컴퓨터 판독가능 매체.
