Claims (17)
- ネットワークにおける論理チャネルを構成するための装置であって、前記装置は、
選択したネットワーク要素に付随するネットワークパラメータの決定を、選択した前記ネットワーク要素との通信に基づき行なうように構成されたマイクロプロセッサと、
前記ネットワークパラメータを示す信号を前記ネットワーク要素から受信するように構成された受信機と
を含み、
前記マイクロプロセッサは、前記ネットワークパラメータに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素を論理チャネルに割当てる、装置。 - 前記ネットワークパラメータには、上流または下流の変調誤差比(MER)、上流または下流の信号対雑音比(SNR)、上流または下流の微細反射、上流の送信レベル、下流の受信パワーレベル、ケーブルモデム種類、機能、ケーブル設備内でのネットワーク要素場所、ネットワーク要素製造業者、またはネットワーク要素によって提供されるサービスの種類のうちの1つが含まれる、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記マイクロプロセッサは、前記ネットワークパラメータを閾値と比較することに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素を前記論理チャネルに割当てる、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記マイクロプロセッサは、前記ネットワーク要素に命令を出すことによって、前記論理チャネルに基づき前記ネットワーク要素を再編成する、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記装置は更に、前記ネットワークパラメータをオペレータに与えるように配置されたオペレータインターフェースを含む、請求項1記載の装置。
- ネットワークにおける論理チャネルを構成するための方法であって、前記方法は、
選択したネットワーク要素に付随するネットワークパラメータの決定を、選択した前記ネットワーク要素との通信に基づき行なう手順と、
前記ネットワークパラメータを分析する手順と、
前記ネットワークパラメータに基づき前記ネットワーク要素を論理チャネルに割当てる割当手順と
を含む、方法。 - 前記ネットワークパラメータには、上流または下流の変調誤差比(MER)、上流または下流の信号対雑音比(SNR)、上流または下流の微細反射、上流の送信レベル、下流の受信パワーレベル、ケーブルモデム種類、機能、ケーブル設備内でのネットワーク要素場所、ネットワーク要素製造業者、またはネットワーク要素によって提供されるサービスの種類のうちの1つが含まれる、請求項6記載の方法。
- 前記割当手順は、前記ネットワークパラメータを閾値と比較することに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素を前記論理チャネルに割当てることを含む、請求項6記載の方法。
- 前記方法は更に、前記ネットワーク要素に命令を出すことによって、前記論理チャネルに基づき前記ネットワーク要素を再編成する再編成手順を含む、請求項6記載の方法。
- 前記再編成手順は、オペレータから命令を受信することによって前記ネットワーク要素を再編成することを含む、請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記割当手順は、オペレータが、割当てるか否か選択したネットワーク要素を、前記論理チャネルに与えるかまたは前記論理チャネルから受けることを含む、請求項6記載の方法。
- コンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体であって、前記記録媒体はネットワークにおける論理チャネルを構成するために、
選択したネットワーク要素に付随するネットワークパラメータの決定を、選択した前記ネットワーク要素との通信に基づき行なう手順と、
前記ネットワークパラメータを分析する手順と、
前記ネットワークパラメータに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素を論理チャネルに割当てる割当手順と
をコンピュータに実行させるためのプログラムを記録した、コンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体。 - 前記ネットワークパラメータには、上流または下流の変調誤差比(MER)、上流または下流の信号対雑音比(SNR)、上流または下流の微細反射、上流の送信レベル、下流の受信パワーレベル、ケーブルモデム種類、機能、ケーブル設備内でのネットワーク要素場所、ネットワーク要素製造業者、またはネットワーク要素によって提供されるサービスの種類のうちの1つが含まれる、請求項12記載のコンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体。
- 前記割当手順は、前記ネットワークパラメータを閾値と比較することに基づき、前記ネットワーク要素を前記論理チャネルに割当てることを含む、請求項12記載のコンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体。
- 前記記録媒体は更に、前記ネットワーク要素に命令を出することによって、前記論理チャネルに基づき前記ネットワーク要素を再編成する再編成手順を前記コンピュータに実行させるためのプログラムを記録した、請求項12記載のコンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体。
- 前記再編成手順は、オペレータから命令を受信することによって前記ネットワーク要素を再編成することを含む、請求項15記載のコンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体。
- 前記割当手順は、オペレータが、割当てるか否か選択したネットワーク要素を、前記論理チャネルに与えるかまたは前記論理チャネルから受けることを含む、請求項12記載のコンピュータ読取可能な記録媒体。
