Description
具体的には、表面処理成分として、LiNiCoMn複合酸化物、LiCo複合酸化物、LiNi複合酸化物、LiMn複合酸化物若しくはLiNiCoAl複合酸化物のいずれか一種以上を用いることができる。
又は、前記複合酸化物の構成元素化合物と炭酸リチウムとの組み合わせとして用いることができ、例えば、NiCoMn複合酸化物と炭酸リチウムとを同時に表面処理することができる。
本発明において重要な点は、正極活物質と表面処理成分とをあらかじめへらなで、せん断作用を有する装置で処理し、次いで、高速せん断作用を有する装置で処理することで、表面処理成分がより均一に処理され、正極活物質の粒子表面から脱離しにくいという事実である。

We:脱着テスト後の正極活物質の表面処理成分被覆量
小粒子は、前記方法によってあらかじめ平均粒子径を算出し、平均粒子径の10%以下の粒子サイズの粒子を小粒子とした。
コバルト酸リチウム(粒子形状:不定形、平均粒子径16.9μm、BET比表面積値0.5m2/g)10.0kgをエッジランナー「MPUV−2型」(製品名、株式会社松本鋳造鉄工所製)に投入し、294N/cm(30Kg/cm)で30分間混合撹拌を行い、粒子の凝集を軽く解きほぐした。
芯粒子粉末として、表1に示す特性を有する正極活物質を準備した。
芯粒子粉末の種類、表面処理成分の種類及び添加量、エッジランナーによる処理条件及び高速せん断作用を有する装置の処理条件を種々変化させた以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして非水電解質二次電池用の複合正極活物質を得た。
Claims (3)
- 表面処理された非水電解質二次電池用の複合正極活物質の製造方法であって、リチウム遷移金属複合酸化物から選ばれる1種以上である正極活物質と、LiNiCoMn複合酸化物、LiCo複合酸化物、LiNi複合酸化物、LiMn複合酸化物若しくはLiNiCoAl複合酸化物のいずれか一種以上、又は前記複合酸化物の構成元素化合物と炭酸リチウムとの組み合わせである表面処理成分とをあらかじめへらなでせん断作用を有する装置で混合し、次いで、攪拌速度が100〜100000rpmの高速せん断作用を有する装置で被覆処理して製造することを特徴とする非水電解質二次電池用の複合正極活物質の製造方法。
- 得られる複合正極活物質のBET比表面積値が0.05〜10m2/gである請求項1記載の複合正極活物質の製造方法。
- 得られる複合正極活物質の芯粒子表面上の小粒子数が5個以下である請求項1又は2記載の複合正極活物質の製造方法。
