Description
また、炭素繊維を抄造することにより得られた抄造体に、熱分解炭素をCVI(化学気相含浸)することによって熱分解炭素被膜を形成することも提案されている(例えば特許文献2参照)。
本発明は上記状況に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的は、セラミック被膜を形成するC/C複合材が2方向の配向体や、積層体であったり、C/C複合材を形成する炭素繊維が不織布である場合など剥離強度を十分に確保できない場合であっても、セラミック被膜との熱膨張差により生じるC/C複合材内部の層間剥離を防止できるセラミック複合部材を提供することにある。
(1) 炭素繊維強化炭素複合材である基材と、該基材の表面に被覆されたセラミック被膜と、からなるセラミック複合部材であって、
前記基材の表面には複数の孔が形成され、
該孔の内部表面が、前記セラミック被膜によって覆われたことを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
前記孔が、前記セラミック被膜を形成するセラミックによって充填されたことを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
前記セラミック被膜に覆われた後の前記孔の開口部の幅が、前記セラミック被膜の被膜厚さの2倍以下であることを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
前記基材は、炭素繊維層と炭素マトリクス層が複数層積層されてなり、
前記孔が、少なくとも最表層の前記炭素繊維層を貫通していることを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
前記孔の深さが一律でないことを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
前記孔は、少なくとも開口部が円形であることを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
前記孔は、開口部から内部に向かって拡大する錐形状であることを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
前記孔が、前記基材を貫通することを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。

本実施の形態によるセラミック複合部材100は、炭素繊維11と炭素繊維11,11間に充填された炭素マトリックス13とからなる基材15と、基材15の表面に被覆されたセラミック被膜17とからなる。
セラミック被膜17の形成後の孔19は、図2に示すように、封止されていても良いし、図1に示すように、孔19bとして残っていても良い。図2に示すように、孔19がセラミック被膜17を形成するセラミック17aによって充填された構造では、図1に示した孔19の内部表面19aを覆うセラミック17aが中空のパイプ状構造である場合に比べ、充填されたセラミック17aが中実の軸状となり、軸線方向の圧縮・引っ張り強度、軸線直交方向の剪断強度が高まる。
孔19の深さdは、すべて同じであっても良いし、図3に示すように、バラバラであっても(一律でなくても)構わない。深さdが同一であると、孔19の最深部の層に応力集中が起こりやすく、孔19の最深部近傍で剥離し易くなるが、バラバラであると、応力の集中が起こりにくく、剥離が発生しにくいからである。すなわち、孔19の深さdが一律でなければ、深さdが一定である場合の特定層間で結合力が作用しなくなる脆弱部の生じることがない。
さらに、孔19は、図4に示すように、開口部から内部に向かって拡大する錐形状であってもよい。本実施の形態では例えば円錐台形状に形成される。基材15の表面に形成されたセラミック被膜17に連続する錐形状のセラミック17aが基材15中に、抜脱不能なアンカーとして埋設されることとなり、層間の剥離強度がさらに高まる。
[基材]
基材15は、市販のC/C複合材であればどのようなものでも利用することができる。複数の孔19は市販のC/C複合材(の硬化・焼成後)に機械的に穿孔しても良いし、炭素繊維複合材を硬化・焼成する前に穿孔しても良い。硬化、焼成後であれば、どのように穿孔しても良いが機械的にドリルを用いたり、レーザ加工等が利用できる。
セラミック被膜17の形成は公知の方法で実施することができる。
例えば、熱分解炭素を被覆する場合には、上記工程で作製されたC/C複合材をCVD炉に入れ、1300〜2000℃に加熱する。原料となるプロパン等の炭化水素ガスと、水素等のキャリアガスを炉内に流し、表面に成膜する。なお、原料ガスは炉内で拡散するため、C/C複合材の表面に設けられた複数の孔内部まで浸入することができるので孔19の内部表面19aにセラミック被膜17を形成することができる。

- 炭素繊維強化炭素複合材である基材と、該基材の表面に被覆されたセラミック被膜と、からなるセラミック複合部材であって、
前記基材の表面には複数の孔が開口部から内部に向かって拡大する錐形状に形成され、

前記孔の深さが一律でないことを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。 - 請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか1項記載のセラミック複合部材であって、
前記孔は、少なくとも開口部が円形であることを特徴とするセラミック複合部材。
