Claims (4)
- 光が入射される入射面と光が出射される出射面とを有するプレート型ボディと、
前記プレート型ボディの入射面または出射面のうちの少なくとも何れか一面に配置された複数のマイクロレンズと、
前記入射面または出射面のうち前記複数のマイクロレンズが配置されていない他の面に配置された複数のプリズムと、を備えて、
前記複数のマイクロレンズは相異なるサイズの複数種のマイクロレンズを含み、
前記複数のプリズムは角錐台型プリズムおよび角錐型プリズムを含み、
前記複数のプリズムは、頂角の異なる複数種のプリズムからなるか、または頂角が同じであるプリズムからなり、かつ、前記複数のプリズムのうち少なくとも一つは、前記プレート型ボディにほぼ平行な平面部を有して、
前記複数のプリズムを有する面が液晶パネルに付着するように配置されて、前記液晶パネルを透過したコリメーティングされた光を拡散させることを特徴とする広角拡散器。 - 前記複数のマイクロレンズは、球面または非球面を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の広角拡散器。
- 前記複数のマイクロレンズは、球面または非球面を有する半球型レンズであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の広角拡散器。
- 液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルの背面に設けられてコリメーディングされた光を前記液晶パネルに照射するバックライトユニットと、
前記液晶パネルを透過した光を拡散させる請求項1ないし3のうち何れか1項に記載の広角拡散器と、
を備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
