Claims (8)
- 隣接する被覆線間に1つまたは複数の接続接点領域を与える並列に隣接する関係で配置された複数の被覆線を含む多心ケーブル組立体であって、
前記複数の被覆線のそれぞれは、
導体と、
20〜50重量パーセントのポリ(アリーレンエーテル)と、ポリ(アルケニル芳香族)ブロックとポリオレフィンブロックを含む30〜50重量パーセントのブロック共重合体と、5〜25重量パーセントの難燃剤と、0〜10重量パーセントのポリオレフィンと、を含む熱可塑性組成物を含む被覆と、を備え、
重量パーセントはすべて熱可塑性組成物の全重量に対するものであり、
前記熱可塑性組成物の曲げ弾性率は、ASTM D790に準拠して温度23℃で測定して50〜1,000MPaであり、
前記熱可塑性組成物は、エチレンホモポリマー類およびプロピレンホモポリマー類を含まないことを特徴とする多心ケーブル組立体。 - 前記熱可塑性組成物は、ポリブテンから構成される1〜10重量パーセントのポリオレフィンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多心ケーブル組立体。
- 前記熱可塑性組成物は、
25℃のクロロホルム中で測定した固有粘度が0.3〜0.6dL/gの、20〜40重量パーセントのポリ(2,6−ジメチル−1,4−フェニレンエーテル)と、
ポリスチレン−ポリ(エチレン−ブチレン)−ポリスチレントリブロック共重合体類と、
ポリスチレン−ポリ(エチレン−ブチレン−スチレン)−ポリスチレントリブロック共重合体類と、これらの混合物と、から構成される群から選択される30〜50重量パーセントのトリブロック共重合体と、
2〜6重量パーセントのポリブテンと、
リン酸トリアリール類、ポリリン酸メラミン類、金属ホスフィン酸塩類、水酸化マグネシウム類およびこれらの混合物から構成される群から選択される10〜20重量パーセントの難燃剤と、を含み、
前記熱可塑性組成物の曲げ弾性率は、ASTM D790に準拠して温度23℃で測定して100〜800MPaであり、
引張強度は、ASTM D638に準拠して温度23℃で測定して10〜35MPaであり、
破断伸び率は、ASTM D638に準拠して温度23℃で測定して50〜200%であり、
公称直径が0.318mmのAWG28導線と、前記熱可塑性組成物を含み公称外径が1.075mmのチューブ状被覆と、から構成される被覆線試験サンプルで測定して、UL1581セクション1080に準拠した燃焼試験グレードに合格することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の多心ケーブル組立体。 - それぞれの直径が0.2546〜0.8128mmの複数の未被覆導線を、互いに平行に、また、それぞれの中心−中心間距離が未被覆導線の直径の少なくとも1.5倍となるようにそれぞれを離間して並列に配置するステップと、
温度調整した前記複数の未被覆導線を、230〜290℃の温度の熱可塑性組成物で押出被覆を行って多心ケーブル組立体を製造するステップと、を備え、
前記押出被覆はライン速度が3〜10m/分で行われ、
前記熱可塑性組成物は、20〜50重量パーセントのポリ(アリーレンエーテル)と、ポリ(アルケニル芳香族)ブロックとポリオレフィンブロックとを含む30〜50重量パーセントのブロック共重合体と、5〜25重量パーセントの難燃剤と、0〜10重量パーセントのポリオレフィンと、を含み、
重量パーセントはすべて前記熱可塑性組成物の全重量に対するものであり、
前記熱可塑性組成物の曲げ弾性率は、ASTM D790に準拠し温度23℃で測定して50〜1,000MPaであり、
前記熱可塑性組成物は、エチレンホモポリマー類およびプロピレンホモポリマー類を含まないことを特徴とする多心ケーブルの製造方法。 - 前記熱可塑性組成物は、ポリブテンから構成される1〜10重量パーセントのポリオレフィンを含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性組成物は、
25℃のクロロホルム中で測定した固有粘度が0.3〜0.6dL/gの、20〜40重量パーセントのポリ(2,6−ジメチル−1,4−フェニレンエーテル)と、
ポリスチレン−ポリ(エチレン−ブチレン)−ポリスチレントリブロック共重合体類と、
ポリスチレン−ポリ(エチレン−ブチレン−スチレン)−ポリスチレントリブロック共重合体類と、これらの混合物と、から構成される群から選択される30〜50重量パーセントのトリブロック共重合体と、
2〜6重量パーセントのポリブテンと、
リン酸トリアリール類、ポリリン酸メラミン類、金属ホスフィン酸塩類、水酸化マグネシウム類およびこれらの混合物から構成される群から選択される10〜20重量パーセントの難燃剤と、を含み、
前記熱可塑性組成物の曲げ弾性率は、ASTM D790に準拠して温度23℃で測定して100〜800MPaであり、
引張強度は、ASTM D638に準拠して温度23℃で測定して10〜35MPaであり、
破断伸び率は、ASTM D638に準拠して温度23℃で測定して50〜200%であり、
公称直径が0.318mmのAWG28導線と、前記熱可塑性組成物を含み公称外径が1.075mmのチューブ状被覆と、から構成される被覆線試験サンプルで測定して、UL1581セクション1080に準拠した燃焼試験グレードに合格することを特徴とする請求項4または5に記載の方法。 - 複数の被覆線を並列に隣接して配置し、隣接する被覆線間に接点領域を設けるステップと、
前記複数の被覆線の表面温度を150〜180℃に調整するステップと、
温度調整した前記被覆線を2本のローラで定義されるニップを通過させて多心ケーブル組立体を製造するステップと、を備えた多心ケーブル組立体の製造方法であって、
各前記ローラの表面温度は独立に180〜220℃であり、前記多心ケーブル組立体が前記ニップを出るときの表面温度は145〜210℃であり、
前記複数の被覆線のそれぞれは、直径がD1の導線と、前記導線上に配置され外径がD2の被覆と、を備え、前記ニップは1.1×D1〜1.1×D2であり、
温度調整された前記被覆線の前記ニップの通過はライン速度3〜10m/分で行われ、
前記被覆に含まれる熱可塑性組成物は、20〜50重量パーセントのポリ(アリーレンエーテル)と、ポリ(アルケニル芳香族)ブロックとポリオレフィンブロックとを含む30〜50重量パーセントのブロック共重合体と、5〜25重量パーセントの難燃剤と、0〜10重量パーセントのポリオレフィンと、を含み、
重量パーセントはすべて前記熱可塑性組成物の全重量に対するものであり、
前記熱可塑性組成物の曲げ弾性率は、ASTM D790に準拠し温度23℃で測定して、50〜1,000MPaであることを特徴とする多心ケーブル組立体の製造方法。 - 前記熱可塑性組成物は、25℃のクロロホルム中で測定した固有粘度が0.3〜0.6dL/gの、20〜40重量パーセントのポリ(2,6−ジメチル−1,4−フェニレンエーテル)と、ポリスチレン−ポリ(エチレン−ブチレン)−ポリスチレントリブロック共重合体類と、ポリスチレン−ポリ(エチレン−ブチレン−スチレン)−ポリスチレントリブロック共重合体類と、これらの混合物と、から構成される群から選択される30〜50重量パーセントのトリブロック共重合体と、2〜6重量パーセントのポリブテンと、リン酸トリアリール類、ポリリン酸メラミン類、金属ホスフィン酸塩類、水酸化マグネシウム類およびこれらの混合物から構成される群から選択される10〜20重量パーセントの難燃剤と、を含み、
