図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る改質装置の斜視図である。図2は、図1の改質装置のII−II方向の断面図である。
図3は、本発明の第2実施形態に係る改質装置の断面図である。図3に示すように、本実施形態の改質装置100は、第1チャンバおよび第2チャンバを形成する二重管構造のハウジング120と、ハウジング120内にそれぞれ配置される第1反応部130と、第2反応部140と、逆火防止部150とを備える。

Claims (19)
- 第1チャンバ内に配置される第1触媒により第1燃料を燃焼させて熱を発生する第1反応部と、
前記第1反応部の熱によって加熱され、第2触媒により第2燃料を改質する、第2反応部と、
第1チャンバ内に、第1触媒の流入端側に流入する第1燃料の速度を調整する速度調整空間を介して配置される複数の整流板を備える逆火防止部と、を備え、
前記第1反応部および前記第2反応部は、両端が閉鎖され、流体の流動のための複数の開口部を有する二重管構造であり、前記第1燃料が流動する方向を長手方向としたとき、前記速度調整空間の長手方向の長さは、5mm〜15mmの範囲であることを特徴とする改質装置。 - 前記逆火防止部が、複数の通路を備える逆火防止部であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の改質装置。
- 前記逆火防止部の長手方向における長さは、幅方向における長さに対して50%〜100%の範囲を有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第2触媒の一端は、前記逆火防止部に隣接して配置されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第1触媒は、複数の通路を有する第1支持体と、該第1支持体に担持された活性物質とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第1支持体は、モノリスであることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の改質装置。
- 前記逆火防止部は、前記第1支持体と同じ断面構造および形状を有するモノリスであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の改質装置。
- 前記モノリスの断面は、ハニカム形状であることを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の改質装置。
- 前記モノリスは、シート状の第1部材と、波状形状の第2部材とが重なって巻き取られた螺旋形状を備えることを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の改質装置。
- 前記モノリスの複数の通路の開き面積は、前記モノリスの断面積の40%〜95%の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項6〜9のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記モノリスのセル密度は、31/cm 2 〜232.5/cm 2 の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項6〜10のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第2反応部は、前記第1チャンバに接する第2チャンバ内に配置される第2触媒を備え、
前記第2触媒は、第2支持体と、該第2支持体に担持された活性物質とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。 - 前記第2燃料が流入する上流側に位置する前記第2支持体の一端は、前記逆火防止部に隣接して配置されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第2支持体は、ペレットまたは球形状であることを特徴とする請求項12または13に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第2支持体は、セラミックまたは金属モノリスであることを特徴とする請求項12〜14のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第1燃料は、ブタン、メタン、天然ガス、プロパンガスおよびディーゼルのうち少なくとも一種を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第1触媒は、アルミナ(Al2O3)、シリカ(SiO2)、またはチタニア(TiO2)からなる支持体に、PdAl2O3、NiO、CuO、CeO2、Al2O3、Pu、Pd、Pt、およびこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される少なくとも一種を担持してなることを特徴とする請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第1反応部に前記第1燃料を噴射するノズルをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
- 前記第1反応部に供給される前記第1燃料を点火させる点火部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載の改質装置。
