Claims (20)
- 体内における窩洞を取り囲む組織を治療するための小線源療法治療装置であって、
近接端部および遠位端部を備える伸張体であって、組織を通る管路に導入されるための形状を有するものと、
上記遠位端部における複数の細長い管状部材であって、上記伸張体遠位端部に連結された遠位端部、近接端部、および放射線源を受け入れるための管腔を有するものとを備え、これら管状部材は、組織管路を通って対象位置へ導入されるための折りたたみ形状から、上記対象位置において三次元的アレイの経路を提供するための展開形状へと移動可能であり、
上記管状部材の上記近接端部に連結されたハブを備え、このハブは、上記伸張体に対して可動であることによって上記管状部材を上記折りたたみ形状から上記展開形状に移動させることが可能であり、
上記対象位置に対して放射線を供給するための、上記管腔に沿って導入可能な放射線源、を備える装置。 - 体内における窩洞を取り囲む組織を治療するための小線源療法治療装置であって、
近接端部および遠位端部を備える伸張体であって、組織を通る管路に導入されるための形状を有するものと、
上記遠位端部における複数の管状部材であって、上記伸張体遠位端部に連結された遠位端部、近接端部、および放射線源を受け入れるための管腔を有するものとを備え、これら管状部材は、組織管路を通って対象位置へ導入されるための折りたたみ形状から、上記対象位置において三次元的アレイの経路を提供するための展開形状へと移動可能であり、
上記管状部材の上記近接端部は本体部材に連結され、この本体部材は遠位端部から近接端部側へ延伸する複数の管腔を有し、これらの複数の管腔の遠位端部が有する複数の開口部は、上記管状部材のそれぞれの管腔と連通して上記放射線源を上記管状部材の上記管腔に挿入することを許容し、
上記管状部材の上記近接端部に連結されたハブとを備え、このハブは、上記伸張体に対して可動であることによって上記管状部材を上記折りたたみ形状から上記展開形状に移動させ得る、装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の装置において、
上記管状部材は、第1セットおよび第2セットの管状部材を含み、上記第1セット管状部材は、上記伸張体の中心軸から間隔を空けられることによって、上記展開形状において上記第1セット管状部材がおおむね第1の最大直径を画定し、上記第2セット管状部材は、上記中心軸から間隔を空けられることによって、上記展開形状において上記第2セット管状部材がおおむね第1の最大直径よりも小さい第2の最大直径を画定する、装置。 - 上記第2セット管状部材は、上記中心軸を中心にして上記第1セット管状部材から角度をなしてオフセットされている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 上記第1セット管状部材は、上記展開形状においてアメリカンフットボール型、西瓜形およびおおむね球体型のうちいずれか1つの形状を画定するものであって、上記第2セット管状部材は、上記展開形状において上記第1セット管状部材よりも小さな形状を画定するものである、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 上記管状部材が上記展開形状において間隔を空けられることによって、上記対象位置における組織が上記管状部材の間に陥入する、請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 上記第2セット管状部材の長さは上記第1セット管状部材の長さよりも短く、
上記第2セット管状部材の上記遠位端部に連結されたハブをさらに備え、このハブは、上記伸張体に対して可動であることによって上記第2セット管状部材を上記折りたたみ形状から上記展開形状に移動させることが可能である、請求項4に記載の装置。 - 上記伸張体は、コア部材であって、上記近接端部から上記遠位端部まで延伸し、かつ上記管状部材の上記遠位端部に対して連結されたものを有し、上記ハブは、上記管状部材の上記近接端部に対して連結された外側部材を有し、これら外側部材は、上記コア部材の周りを摺動可能に配置されている、請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 上記外側部材は、上記管状部材の上記管腔に連通する通路を有する、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 上記ハブは、それぞれの上記管腔と連通し、かつ上記管腔に沿って上記放射線源を導入するための複数の開口部を有する、請求項1、2または8に記載の装置。
- 上記ハブは、上記管状部材のそれぞれの上記管腔を特定するための1つ以上のインデックスを有する、請求項1、2、8、9または10に記載の装置。
- 上記各管状部材は、補強部材であって、上記管状部材が折りたたまれた形状から展開された形状に移動された場合に上記管状部材を所望する方向に保持するためのものを有する、請求項1、2、6、8、9、10または11に記載の装置。
- 上記放射線源は、放射性要素を収容する複数の容器であって、上記管状部材のそれぞれの上記管腔に沿って導入され得るものを有する、請求項1、2、6、8、9、10、11または12に記載の装置。
- 上記放射線源は、放射線生成手段であって、上記管状部材のそれぞれの上記管腔に沿って順次挿入され得るものを有する、請求項1、2、6、8、9、10、11、12または13に記載の装置。
- 上記放射線生成手段は、HDR放射線源である、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 上記伸張体の上記遠位端部は、組織を貫通するために尖っている、請求項1、2、6、8、9、10、11、12、13、14または15に記載の装置。
- 作動手段であって、上記ハブを上記伸張体の上記遠位端部に対して移動させて上記管状部材を上記折りたたみ形状と上記展開形状との間で移動させるものをさらに備える、請求項1、2、8、9、10または11に記載の装置。
- 上記第2セット管状部材は、上記中心軸を中心にして上記第1セット管状部材から角度をなしてオフセットされている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 第2のセットは、単一の管状部材からなる、請求項18に記載の装置。
- 上記展開形状において、上記第2セット管状部材の1つの管状部材は、上記第1セット管状部材内の2つの隣接する管状部材の間に配置されてより上記中心軸に近い、請求項18に記載の装置。
